Governors State University Fees for UG international students is USD 10,740 (INR 9.15 L),  while for Graduate students is USD 9,912 (INR 8.45 L).

Governors State University application fee is different for undergraduate and graduate courses. The application fee for undergraduate courses is USD 25 (Around INR 2,100), while that for master’s courses is USD 50 (Around INR 4,200) and for Doctoral courses, it is USD 75 (Around INR 6,300).  Along with the application fee, the materials that have to be submitted may include:

Governors State University admissions requirements for MS in Health Informatics are:

• The applicants must have earned a bachelor’s degree equivalent or higher
• A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. GPA lower than 3.0 may be considered for those who have at least 3 years of Healthcare Information Management industry experience

Students who have applied by the early decision deadline in Nov. will be notified by Dec. of their admission decision. Completed applications received after the Nov. deadline will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Students can expect an admission decision within 3-5 business days. Students will be notified by way of a letter or email from the Office of Admission. The mail will include important information about the next steps at GSU. 

Governors State University offers majority of its programme in English language. Therefore, GSU requires international students to demonstrate their proficiency in the English language. International students can prove their English language proficiency by submitting the IELTS scores and others given below:

Governors State University acceptance rate is 48%. With such an acceptance rate, it is hard to get into the university. Also, as per the US News and World Report, the acceptance rate of GSU is 57%, further indicating that GSU admission process iss selective. International students should check the minimum eligibility for their course before applying at GSU. 

The duration of Governors State University MS in CS programme is 18 months. It is a 33-credit hour program. The tuition fee per credit hour for the 2023-24 academic year for this course is USD 842. However, if we include all the other important fees, then the total fee for one credit hour is USD 1,358. If we go by the tuition fee which is USD 842 per credit, then in INR the tuition fee will be around INR 23 Lacs for a year.

For Undergraduate applicants, Governors State University may take two weeks for evaluation of the application after the application and transcripts have been received by the university. Some programs have application deadline and if there is an application deadline, then the evaluation process may take longer than two weeks.

In case of master’s degree, GSU may take 2-4 weeks for the evaluation and processing of the application. In case the programme has an application deadline, then the evaluation process may take longer than 2 weeks.
