About Lewis University
Established in 1932, Lewis University is a private, co-educational university based in Romeoville, United States. Currently, home to about 6,600 students, the institute is known to offer around 80 undergraduate and 35 graduate programs. Lewis University History
Lewis Uni started its journey as the Holy Name Technical School for boys under the direction of the Chicago Archdiocese and Bishop Bernard J. Sheil. In 1952, the school was renamed the Lewis College of Science and Technology. Initially, the special emphasis on instruction was for Aviation Technology. In 1960, the De La Salle Christian Brothers assumed the direction of the institution.
