Established in the year 1870, Loyola University is a premium Catholic research university. It is one of the largest Catholic universities in the country. It was formerly known as Sanit Ignatius College. This private university has religious affiliation from Roman Catholic (Jesuit) and academic affiliations from AJCU, NCA, ACCU. Loyola University consists of 11 schools and colleges.

It has 3 campuses in the Chicago Metropolitan region, one at Lake Shore campus, 1 campus in Rome, guest programs are taught in the campuses situated in Ho Chi Minh City.
