New Jersey Institute of Technology Athletics
NJIT sponsors 19 varsity sports, namely Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Fencing, Lacrosse, Soccer, Swimming & Diving, Tennis, Track and Field, Volleyball, and many more. It also has two club sports: Men’s Bowling and Men’s Ice Hockey. The intercollegiate athletic teams of NJIT are known as the Highlanders, and they compete in NCAA Division I. The university mascot has been named the Highlander as well.
