New Jersey Institute of Technology received over 15,600 applications from prospective students for the class of 2028, of which the university offered the opportunity to enroll on the NJIT campus to about 10,000 applicants, making the NJIT acceptance rate 65%. 

Of the selected students, around 1,700 ended up accepting the admission offer by the university and enrolled on the campus. Thus, it can be concluded that the criteria for NJIT admissions are a little less selective, as more than half of the applicants are likely to be admitted.

NJIT received almost 1,600 applications from prospective international students, of which 700 were offered the opposrtunity to enroll on the campus grounds, making the NJIT acceptance rate for international students 44.6%. This is a bit lower than the general admission rate, suggesting that the competition amongst foreign applicants is more intense. 

The New Jersey Institute of Technology is home to over 1,900 international students, hailing from over 70 different nations. NJIT has been receiving an increased number of applications for the last five years. Consequently, the number of applications accepted has also gone up from 6,800 to 10,100 for the same academic sessions. As a result, the acceptance rate has stayed at around a constant 66%, making the admission criteria of the university a little less selective.
