Admission to the Master of Science in Applied Security and Analytics (MSASA) degree requires the following:

An earned bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) from an accredited university in computer science or a related discipline

A minimum GPA of 3.0 or permission of the program director

Fundamental Programming Skills – coursework in programming languages such as Java or C++. Students without this background can complete either:

CSCI 192 - Java Programming with a grade of "B" or higher

CSCI 192 - Java Programming and CSCI 240 - Software ?Design I with grades of "C" or higher

Advanced Programming - a solid background that includes instruction in data structures. Students without this background can complete either:

CSCI 501 - Concepts in Computer Programming with a grade of "B" or higher

CSCI 241 - Software Design II and CSCI 360 - Data Structures with grades of "C" or higher

Database – a course in database management systems, preferably with SQL experience. Students without this background can complete either:

CSCI 503 - Database Concepts with a grade of "B" or higher

CSCI 490 - Database Management Systems with a grade of "C" or higher

Computer Networking - coursework in networking. Students without this background can complete either:

CSCI 502 - Computer Networking Concepts with a grade of "B" or higher

CSCI 345 - Data Communications and CSCI 445 - Computer Networking with grades of "C" or higher

Mathematics - college credit for mathematics at least at the level of college algebra. Students without this background will be recommended to complete a course at this level.

Students are encouraged to have additional coursework in Computer Organization/Operating Systems and Software Engineering

The University of Findlay offers great facilities for students from free transportation to meals.

Tips: The university helped students in every way, including providing scholarships, free meals, and free in-city transportation. The class schedule was very flexible, which allowed me to pursue my interests outside of class. There were lots of opportunities to make friends, and the school even took us on trips. There were so many events that it was hard to keep track of them all. I was a member of the crochet club, which was a lot of fun. There are a lot of free things available if you apply for them. I was very satisfied with the University of Findlay.

Dislikes (Indian Food): There aren't many Indian restaurants in the city, so I mostly ate in. There are a lot of fast food restaurants nearby, which is convenient for a college town. There are a lot of dining options within walking distance, and the prices are reasonable. Walmart is also nearby and within walking distance. The only downside is that the weather is a bit cold, which takes some getting used to.
