- Two letters of reference from professional colleagues or supervisors describing the candidate’s potential for success in the graduate music program
- Academic transcripts

- A three- to five-page paper addressing current issues in music performance to be used as a professional writing example
- An entrance performance audition on the candidate’s major instrument or voice, arranged with the applied professor in your area. A DVD or Web-based link to a video may be accepted as a substitute for the live audition upon approval of the faculty and Director of Graduate Studies (For MM in Conducting, MM in Music Performance, MM in Music Collaborative Piano)
- A video (VHS or DVD) of classroom teaching or conducting (for MM in Music Education)
- Student may enroll in the payment plan during fall and spring semesters in which additional $20 would be added in to balance with fees each semester
- The payment plan covers the first three due dates of each of the fall and spring semester
- Generally, the payment plan is three equal installments:
- The first installment is 33% of the total due on the first billing statement.
- The second installment is 50% of the total due on the second billing statement.
- The third installment is 100% percent of the total due on the third billing statement
