Q:   Can I work while studying at the University of Missouri?

A: 

Yes, the University of Missouri allows students to work on-campus while studying in the university. MU employs students through regular part-time jobs and through the Federal Work-Study Program. Jobs are typically 5 to 10 hours per week, with wages varying by position and skill level. Student employees are paid via direct deposit to their bank account. These funds are not applied to a student’s MU account and are not listed as pending aid on the billing statement.

International students studying on an F-1 visa are permitted to work on campus up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring academic terms. The wage and number of hours per week will vary by position, but the minimum wage is currently $12 per hour.
