Edinburgh Napier Uni History

In 1964, Edinburgh Napier Uni started its journey as the Napier Technical College with 800 students. It is interesting to note that the university is named after John Napier, a very well known mathematician and philosopher. In 1967, the university was renamed Napier College of Science & Technology. In 1967, the university was renamed Napier College of Science & Technology. In 1974, Edinburgh College of Commerce merged with Napier to form the Napier College of Commerce and Technology. In 1992, it gained university status and in 2009, the university got its now-known name.

The teaching staff is very kind and always ready to clear my doubts.

Tips: I could talk about joining a university in a foreign country. Before joining a foreign university, you need to keep a few things in mind like: Since you'd be on your own, you have to manage your finances well. In most cases, you would have a budget, and exceeding that could be a painful scenario. Take care of all documentation-related items too, visa-related docs, passports, admission letters, etc. Finding accommodation could be an uphill challenge, but eventually, you'll find it. Most importantly, you have to get out of your comfort zone. Network at university, ask for help, find out how to deal with emergencies, follow local lawns and of course, stay connected with friends and family. These are quite indicative and general in nature. These are challenges all study abroad aspirants face. Each may face some or more of these, but with a little bit of determination, it does work out fine.

Tips: University is very friendly and has a diverse student body and a variety of scholarship opportunities. The program is well-structured, and teachers are supportive. This Master's program focuses on research paper development, and there’s not too much emphasis on studying. The university does not guarantee placements after graduation. However, there are various seminars and job fairs held by the university to improve the students' portfolios and provide them with job opportunities. The minimum salary that the graduate student needs to earn is over 30,000 in order to get an extension for their graduate visa.
