University of East Anglia History
The University of East Anglia UK's history can be traced back to the year 1963, when its first vice-chancellor: Frank Thistlethwaite opened the university's doors to its first student cohort of English studies and Biological Sciences courses.
The university's student residence facilities: Ziggurats were completed in 1967. In 1972 the institute's Climate Research unit, known for conducting research activity across global warming, global tempreature record and more, was established by Hubert Lamb. The University House and Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts opened in 1973 and 1978 respectively. the University of East Anglia Law School found its new home at the Earlham Hall in 1984.
