History
Gannon College of Arts and Sciences was founded as Cathedral College in 1925. It was established by John Bishop Gannon. It was renamed Gannon College in 1944 and received its charter as a 4-year men’s college. In the year 1964, the college became a co-ed institute and established a graduate school. Finally, in 1979, the college attained a university status.
