BDes at NIFT Patna is offered in four different specialisations and they are, Accessories Design, Fashion Communication, Fashion Design and Textile Design. To be eligible for BDes at NIFT Patna, the candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board and his/her age should be less than 24 years.
The NIFT BDes admission criteria is completely based on the NIFT entrance exam. Aspirants with a rank of 3100 or below have a chance of securing a seat at NIFT Patna BDes.

The application process for NIFT 2024 will be conducted online. After completing the application process, inclduing payment of fees, the candidate must download a printout of the application form.
In fact, the NIFT prospectus prescribes the candidate to “apply on time and keep a printout / photocopy of application form for further reference along with proof of payment.”
The NIFT 2024 application form is for admission to the B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M courses. There are 18 participating NIFTs that currently have a combined intake of 5.215 seats.
NIFT Patna MFM application process is conducted online. Applicants must upload the specified documents on the admission portal. Later at admission, selected candidates must visit the NIFT Patna campus for physical verification of documents. The self-attested copies of the following documents must be uploaded with the application form:
- Class 12 mark sheet and certificate
- Proof of date of birth (Class 10 marksheet & certificate)
- Bachelor's Degree mark sheet
- Valid certificate of SC/ST/OBC - Non-Creamy Layer/PwD/Open - EWS category (if applicable)
NIFT Patna accepts NIFT entrance exam scores for admission to the B.Des course. NIFT Patna cutoff 2024 has been released upto Round 5 where in the B.Des cutoff ranged between 1339 and 2968 for the General AI category students. So, considering the NIFT Patna B.Des cutoff 2024, candidates must secure up to 2968 to be eligible for admission to the B.Des courses.

NIFT Patna MFM admissions are provided through the common admission process conducted by NIFT. For MFM admissions, NIFT conducts an entrance exam comprising two sections (A & B) of the General Ability Test (GAT). Aspirants must ensure that they clear they secure the cut-off rank required to get admitted to the MFM course of NIFT Patna. They can apply for the exam by filling out the common application form available on the official NIFT website.
The total seat intake of NIFT Patna BDes is 176 seats. The seats are equally divided among the four specialisations, that is, the seat intake for each specialisation is 44.

Admissions at National Institute of Fashion Technology are entrance based. There is an entrance exam conducted by the institute named as NIFT test. The test includes various parts like Creative ability test, general ability test, group discussion etc. The students need to qualify in the entrance exam in order to get admission. Cutoff will be released based on the number of seats and applications. Students need to qualify in the cutoff rank also. The cutoff rank for B Des fashion designing in 2023 was 1692. All the courses will have different cutoff which students can check on the official website.
The NIFT Patna cutoff 2025 has been released up to multiple rounds, wherein the closing rank for B.Des. in Textile Design during Round 3 admission was 2454 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. For other categories, check out the table provided below:
