For CUET PG 2026, the last date for application submission has extended to Jan 23, 2026, for admission to several PG courses. Further, the exam shall be conducted in Mar 2026.
The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/MTech courses will be conducted from Feb 7, 2026 to Feb 8, 2026, and then from Feb 14, 2026 to Feb 15, 2026.

The answer to this question of whether an average student can get into IIM can be both yes and no depending on the definition of an average student.

Based on Academics (Class 10/ Class 12/ Graduation): While a student with average scores in Class 10, Class 12 and graduation with a good CAT score certainly has good chances of getting a call from IIM-A, chances are less for someone with an average CAT score.
Based on student category (General or Reserved): While it is tough for a General category average student to grab a seat at IIM due to high score requirements, a reserved category student can get admission being at average scores as well.
Based on past work experience, diversity and other factors: Gender and academic diversity is also a factor on which students are shortlisted at IIM. IIM Lucknow Admission Process and Important Dates 2026

The mode of Indian Institute of Management Lucknow course admissions is online. Admission to various courses is based on merit, written ability tests, personal interview rounds, and entrance exam scores. For admission to its flagship Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM/ MBA) and PGP ABM and PGP SM programmes, the institute accepts CAT scores.
