MHT CET 2023: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has announced the MHT CET exam date 2023. As per the schedule, MHT CET 2023 exam date PCM is from May 9 to 13 while MHT CET 2023 PCB exam will be conducted from May 15 to 20

MHT CET 2023 syllabus and exam pattern have also been released. MHT CET application form 2023 is likely to be released anytime soon in January. The Maharashtra CET Cell will announce the MHT CET 2023 exam date and schedule of registration on the website mahacet.org.

MHT CET 2023 exam will have three papers, Paper 1 on Mathematics, Paper 2 on Physics and Chemistry combined, and Paper 3 on Biology. Candidates applying for Engineering courses (PCM Group) have to appear in Papers 1 and 2 while those applying for Pharmacy courses (PCB Group) have to appear in Papers 2 and 3. What is MHT CET Exam?

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET), is a state-level entrance test used to select applicants for admission to engineering and pharmacy programs at various colleges throughout Maharashtra. The exam is conducted every year by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell.

There are 3 question papers in the MHT CET 2023 examination. Paper 1 is Mathematics; Paper 2 is Physics and Chemistry combined, and Paper 3 is Biology. Candidates willing to join the Engineering course should appear for Papers 1 and 2. Aspirants of Pharmacy courses should appear for Papers 2 and 3.

"The Maharashtra State Government has drafted new rules for admission to BTech and other professional degree courses from the academic session 2023-24. As per the report, beginning in 2023, class 12 marks will also be considered for admission to BTech and other courses along with MHT CET scores. The weightage of class 12 and CET marks will be equal."

MHT CET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

According to the MHT CET eligibility requirements, candidates must have passed the 12th grade or an exam of a comparable level for both Engineering and Pharmacy courses. Candidates who will be taking their Class 12 board exams in 2023 are also eligible to apply. There is no upper age limit to apply for MHT CET 2023.

MHT CET 2023 Application Form

The application form for MHT CET 2023 has to be filled online. The filling of the MHT CET 2023 application includes registration, filling out the application form, uploading the necessary documents, and payment of the application fee. Let us understand the admission process step by step.

Step 1: Registration

The candidate must visit the official website to submit the application form. The first step is registration. Registration has to be done by entering a few personal details, a valid email address, and a phone number. The candidate will receive the application form login credentials at the registered email address.

Step 2: Filling Application Form

  • The candidate should fill their name in the application form exactly as it is mentioned in Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets.
  • The candidate must fill in the required personal details and education details in the application form.
  • Candidates should carefully mention PCM or PCB or both while filling out the application form.
  • The question paper will be available in English/Hindi/Marathi/Urdu. The candidate should mention the language in which they want to take up the examination while filling out the application form.

Step 3: Uploading Documents

  • The candidate should upload his/her photograph and signature in the proper format and size.
  • If the candidate has applied for the reserved seat, then the candidate must upload the caste certificate.
  • Proof of identity, mark sheets and other documents should be uploaded in the correct format and size.

Step 4: Application Fee Payment

The application fee can be paid either online or offline. The application form will be automatically submitted after the successful payment of application fees. Candidates will need to download the pdf of the filled application form and keep it safe as it will be required at the time of the admission process.

MHT CET Application Form Correction 2023

The Maharashtra State CET Cell will provide the facility to make corrections in the filled application form after the completion of the application process.  To edit the submitted application form, the candidate needs to login into their account using the Application Number and password. In case, the candidate has forgotten the password, they should click on the link that says “I cannot access my account”. After logging in successfully, the candidates will find three new links under the important link Menu.

  1. Change Subject Group

  3. Edit My Application Form

Change Subject Group: Under the change subject group, the subjects can be changed from PCM to PCB or PCB to PCM.

Add Subject Group: Candidates can also add the subject group PCM or PCB if they missed adding it while filling out the application form. The candidate must pay the application fee along with the late fee for the new subject group added.

Edit My Application Form: Using this link, the candidate can change the name, date of birth, photo, and signature.

MHT CET 2023 Syllabus

MHT CET 2023 questions is based on the syllabus of the State Council Of Educational Research And Training, Maharashtra. In the MHT CET question paper, roughly 20% weightage is given for the Class 11 curriculum and 80% weightage is given for the Class 12 curriculum. MHT CET 2023 Preparation Tips

The MHT CET is one of the most important exams for admission to undergraduate engineering programs, and its level of difficulty is equal to the JEE Main. To pass the exam, candidates should thoroughly prepare for it. Aspirants must have a thorough understanding of the MHT CET exam pattern and syllabus before beginning their preparation. Candidates should learn from the Class 11 and Class 12 Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology syllabi of the Maharashtra State Board. MHT CET 2023 Mock Test

To help the MHT CET aspirants become used to the Computer Based Test, the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell will make the MHT CET 2023 mock test papers available online on the official website. By taking up the mock tests, the candidates will learn a lot about their level of preparation, the complexity of the exam, the types of questions that will be asked, and much more. MHT CET 2023 Admit Card

Admit card will be issued to all candidates who register for the exam within the last date. MHT CET admit card 2023 will be available on the official website. MHT CET Admit cards can be downloaded by entering the application number and password. The applicants are advised to review the details on their admit card after they have downloaded it. The admit card will include information regarding the MHT CET 2023 exam's date and time, place of examination, and paper for which the candidate is appearing, as well as the candidate's basic information (name, photograph, and signature). If the admit card has any errors, candidates must contact the concerned authority.

MHT CET 2023 Exam Centres

The exam will be conducted in around 100 cities across the state and in a few cities outside Maharashtra. The exact details about the MHT CET exam centre of the candidate will be mentioned in the admit card. Candidates will be allotted an exam centre based on the choices of exam city filled by the candidate at the time of filling the application form. The exam city once allotted can not be changed. It is thus advised that candidates fill the exam city preference in the application form carefully. 

  • MHT CET 2023 will be conducted online in almost all the districts of Maharashtra
  • Outside Maharashtra, the Capital Districts of the selected states like Delhi-NCR, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Karnataka,  Jharkhand, Telangana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh could be the centres for examination
  • The test centre will be allotted to candidates based on the preference filled in the application form
  • The exam centre once allotted will not be changed under any circumstances

MHT CET 2023 Exam Day Guidelines

The details about exam day guidelines will be mentioned in MHT CET admit card of the candidates. Provided here are some of the general instructions which every candidate needs to follow on the exam day. As the exam will be conducted amid the COVID-19 situation, candidates need to follow the following precautions at the exam center:

  • Maintain social distancing in and around the exam centre
  • Avoid public gatherings in and outside the exam centre
  • Report to the exam centre as per the time allotted in admit card
  • Wear a face mask and hand gloves
  • Carry a bottle of hand sanitizer
