MHT CET 2022 exam dates have been revised again. As per the official notice, the revised exam dates for Engineering (PCM) group are August 5 to 11 while for Pharmacy (PCB ) group, the new dates are August 12 to 20. MHT CET registration process is closed. The last date to apply was May 11.
MHT CET 2022 will have three papers, Paper 1 of Mathematics, Paper 2 of Physics and Chemistry combined and Paper 3 of Biology. Candidates applying for Engineering courses (PCM Group) have to appear in Paper 1 and 2 while those applying for Pharmacy courses (PCB Group) need to appear in Paper 2 and 3. The choice of paper (PCB or PCM) has to be made at the time of filling the application form.
The difficulty level of the MHT CET 2022 will be similar to JEE Main exam. MHT CET 2022 syllabus pdf has been released by the CET Cell and consists of classes 11 and 12 Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology topics with 20% weightage to class 11 topics while 80% weightage is for class 12 topics. What is MHT CET Exam?
The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, popularly known as MHT CET, is the entrance exam conducted to shortlist candidates for admission to undergraduate Engineering and Pharmacy courses in various colleges in Maharashtra. The exam is conducted every year by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell. There are more than 400 institutes in Maharashtra which accept MHT CET scores for admission to their various Engineering and Pharmacy courses. Candidates belonging to Maharashtra as well as from the other states of India can apply for the MHT CET exam.

MHT CET 2022 Application Form
The application form of MHT CET 2022 is closed. The registration process was open from February 10 to April 15 without late fees and from April 16 to May 11 with late fees. Candidates interested in applying for MHT CET 2022 had to fill the application form within specified dates.
The process of filling the application form included online registration, filling the detailed form, uploading scanned images of passport size colour photograph, signature, ID proof and payment of the application fees. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories (EWS/OBC/SC/ST) also need to upload the category certificate in the prescribed format at the time of filling the application form. How to Fill MHT CET 2022 Application Form
The application form was available only in online mode. Candidates interested in applying had to fill the form within specified dates. The complete step-by-step procedure to fill the MHT CET application form 2022 is given below.
Step 1- Open the official website
Step 2- Click on "MHT CET Registration 2022"
Step 3- Fill in the required information and click on submit button to complete the registration process
Step 4- After registration, candidates will be redirected to fill the application form. Fill in all the required details and complete the application process.
Step 5- Upload scanned images of photo, signature and ID proof and other documents required for MHT CET form
Step 6- Pay application fees
The application form will be automatically submitted after the successful payment of application fees. Candidates need to download their filled application form and take a printout of it. It is advised that candidates keep their forms safe until the completion of the admission process.
MHT CET 2022 Eligibility Criteria
The MHT CET 2022 eligibility has been announced by the exam conducting authority along with the release of the application form. Candidates applying for MHT CET 2022 must ensure they fulfil the conditions required for admission failing which their candidature will be cancelled.
Candidates applying for MHT CET 2022 can refer to the complete eligibility criteria here. As per the criteria, all the candidates who have passed/appeared at the qualifying examination i.e. HSC/12th Standard or its equivalent and have Indian Nationality are eligible to appear for the MHT CET exam. MHT CET 2022 Exam Centres
The exam will be conducted in around 100 cities across the state and in a few cities outside Maharashtra. The exact details about the MHT CET exam centre of the candidate will be mentioned in the admit card. Candidates will be allotted an exam centre based on the choices of exam city filled by the candidate at the time of filling the application form. The exam city once allotted can not be changed. It is thus advised that candidates fill the exam city preference in the application form carefully.
- MHT CET 2022 will be conducted online in almost all the districts of Maharashtra
- Outside Maharashtra, the Capital Districts of the selected states like Delhi-NCR, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Telangana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh could be the centres for examination
- The test centre will be allotted to candidates based on the preference filled in the application form
- The exam centre once allotted will not be changed under any circumstances
MHT CET Syllabus 2022
The syllabus of the MHT CET 2022 exam is similar to the class 11 and 12 topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. MHT CET syllabus 2022 pdf has been released by the CET Cell. As per the information provided by the CET Cell, 20% of weightage will be on class 11 topics while 80% of weightage will be on class 12 topics while preparing the question paper for MHT CET. Candidates must keep the weightage of topics in mind while preparing for the exam.
Also, not all the topics of class 11 are covered in the MHT CET syllabus whereas all the topics of class 12 are included in the syllabus. MHT CET 2022 Preparation Tips
MHT CET is one of the biggest exams for admission to undergraduate engineering courses with a difficulty level almost equivalent to that of JEE Main. MHT CET 2022 Exam Day Guidelines
The details about exam day guidelines will be mentioned in MHT CET admit card of the candidates. Provided here are some of the general instructions which every candidate need to follow on the exam day. As the exam will be conducted amid the COVID-19 situation, candidates need to follow the following precautions at the exam centre:
- Maintain social distancing in and around the exam centre
- Avoid public gatherings in and outside the exam centre
- Report to the exam centre as per the time allotted in admit card
- Wear a face mask and hand gloves
- Carry a bottle of hand sanitiser
Candidates can also check below the list of items that are allowed and prohibited in the exam centre. Any items which are prohibited must not be carried inside the exam centre as it could lead to debarment from the exam.

The CET Cell will first release the provisional answer keys, which will also be open for challenge. MHT CET Result 2022
The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell will announce the MHT CET 2022 result within a few weeks of the conclusion of the exam. The result will be announced online on the official website. MHT CET Counselling 2022
The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell will conduct the MHT CET counselling 2022 in online mode. Candidates who will qualify for the exam and whose name appear on the merit list will be eligible for participating in the MHT CET 2022 counselling. The allotment of seats will be done in two rounds based on the MHT CET merit list.
