CGC University is not worth taking admission.
Placements: CGC University records a record of one crore per annual placement for B.Tech CSE students, a milestone that highlights the university's growth, reputation, and technical education. In reality, connecting these achievements is promotional success for the institute and reflects strong placement support and training provided on campus.
Infrastructure: The campus offers a learning environment surrounded by lush gardens and trees covered by walking paths, creating a peaceful atmosphere for study sessions and group discussions. Student benefits from stage of the art of infrastructure that supports both academic excellence and personal development. The Institute of Paris offers experiential learning through various clubs, outdoor activities, and conversation projects with the numerous clubs.
Faculty: The faculty of CGC University generally receives positive feedback from students with a rating of 2.5 out of five based on verified student reviews. Teachers are consistently described as helpful, supportive, and well-qualified, many holding Ph.D. degrees and net qualifications.
Other: The programme is typically an undergraduate degree in CSE with a specialization in Cyber security lasting three years in case of BSE or possibly 4 years if it is a full engineering style quote, depending upon the Institute's offer, 8:00 AM to with knowledge and skills need in the cyber security domain network, security, ethical, hacker, digital forensic, and cryptography cloud security.

CGC University markets itself very well with advertisements.
Placements: CGC is popular for its placement records, especially in IT and management fields. Many recruiting companies like Enforce, Wipro, and Deloitte visit the campus. Some core companies also recruit through opportunities with average package or testing with a few students securing high packages in top MNCs.
Infrastructure: Campus is well-equipped with modern labs, libraries, hostel, sports facilities, and a distinct cafeteria. Classroom is smart enabled and it is conducive for learning. Hostel facilities are good but fees have been increasing recently. But the big drawback is the lack of AC classroom, which makes it uncomfortable in hot weather. Other resources are good. Hostel mass and rooms are also good.
Faculty: One of the biggest assets is the mass supply system. The university runs heavily through rechecks and reappearing for exams instead of improving the quality of teaching or reducing backlogs. They benefit financially when students have to repeat, apply, and pay a fee for the same day. They just creates unnecessary pressure on students and families while allowing trust in the evaluation system.
Other: CGC organizes many events, cultural phases, technical competitions throughout the year, giving students opportunities to participate in singing, dancing, sports, debates, and hackathons. These events bring energy to campus life, and they are one of the few positive aspects. However, they are often used more for promotional purposes than for a student's growth.

If you cannot go to Chitkara or CU, I advise you to get into this college.
Placements: We are the first batch of B.Tech CSE Cyber Security, so I cannot provide information about the placement in my course. But, we receive good guidance from teachers. The placement cell provided classes to teach us interview-related skills. They charge Rs.10,000 extra for these classes. About placement, most students get placed in business companies, while many students are not placed. If you have good communication skills, overall personality, and technical skills. You can get placed with a good package.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good when we talk about labs and classes. There are enough well-maintained personal computers, and classes are good, but the benches in the class are a bit uncomfortable. About the hostel, I can say that the Jhanjeri hostel is well. But, there are too many restrictions for taking outings. You have to do many formalities, and they do not give outings. If you want to go home, you have to first write an application to the mentor and then show it to the warden.
Faculty: In my experience, some teachers are really helpful and help you in every aspect of your academics. But, there are also some teachers who are really egoistic and talk in a rude tone. These teachers also give you less marks in your internals and treat you like you are their sworn enemy. But aside from these teachers, faculty is quite helpful and they help you in your academics quite a lot.
Other: Till now, I am in my 2nd year, and I can say that the campus is good. There are all types of students, so I can tell that if you do not encounter the bad ones, then it is going well.

CGC University is average in academics and placements.
Placements: Placements are average and not as strong as advertised. Most companies offer low packages, and opportunities are heavily dependent on branches. Recently, CGC claimed that one of the students got a 1 crore package, but the truth is that the offer was off-campus.
Infrastructure: The campus looks big from outside, but classrooms lack even basic facilities like AC, which makes learning uncomfortable. Rooms and food quality here are good, but the hostels do not have enough capacity. Because of space constraints, many students are shifted to CGC Landran hostels, where the rooms and food are of very poor quality.
Faculty: The university gives very little focus to skill development. Classes are very theory-based. Students often struggle to gain real industrial-level experience. The mass supply system is a major issue. Instead of improving academics, the university benefits financially through rechecking and applying fees.
Other: CGC organizes many events, cultural festivals, and technical events throughout the year. Students do get opportunities to participate in singing, dancing, and sports etc.

Exploring the campus life of CGC, Mohali.
Placements: This college has provided equal opportunities to many students for their on campus placements. The highest package is recorded as 1 crore per annum, and the top recruiting companies are Deloitte, Amazon, Wipro, and TCS. Talking about Cybersecurity, companies like Sophos have tie ups with our campus, and this department also gets a push in terms of placements.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided within the campus are quite adequate. Each student has been allotted a personal Wi-Fi ID under the colleges personal database. The labs are very well maintained, and the systems are also updated. Most of them have good processors and performance. Each block has a separate library, and the library is full of resources in terms of educational books. The hostel is also completely fulfilling, and the food quality is good.
Faculty: The faculty is quite helpful and well qualified. Teachers are quite experienced with their expertise and are quite hardworking. Most of the faculty are Ph.D. holders, and the curriculum is very quality based. Students work on different projects, which helps them achieve skills required for getting industry ready. Semester exams are mostly based on the semester curriculum, and nothing goes out of the syllabus, the pass percentage is almost 90%. Experienced faculty efficiently work on industry ready projects with students and help them in adapting to the latest industrial technologies.
Other: I chose this course because I had an infatuation with the whole idea of hacking and system security. The best thing about my course is the experience that the faculty share with students, as most of them are quite connected to industrial officials. It would be better if the study becomes less theoretical and more practical, and I can proudly say that CGC Mohali has taken that onus and is consistently working towards the practicality of our course. The campus is full of energetic fests, and the crowd is also very engaging. Scholarships are also provided to students, which can be up to 100% based on their CGCUET rank.
