My experience as a B.Tech Cyber Security fresher.
Placements: I am a fresher, so placement details are mainly from seniors. Around 70 percent of students got placed, as I heard. The highest package is 20 LPA and the average is around 8 LPA. Recruiting companies mentioned include TCS, IBM, Infosys, Capgemini, and Deloitte. Cybersecurity roles are also available.
Infrastructure: The campus has good infrastructure. Classrooms are AC and furniture is comfortable. Wi-Fi is available, and labs support practical learning. The campus has good greenery and flowers. Gym and canteen are also available. A full thali costs around Rs. 50-60. Hostel options range from 2-bed to 5-bed rooms, with AC or cooler facilities. Some hostels are on campus and some around Landran and Mohali. Transport is available for students. Four meals are provided daily, and washing machines are available at around Rs. 29-49 per wash.
Faculty: Faculty members are approachable and supportive. The Cyber Security curriculum includes ethical hacking, data security, cryptography, vulnerability assessment, and digital forensics. Practical learning is given importance. Exams are manageable with regular classes and preparation.

Average placements, nice infrastructure, and faculty members.
Placements: I am in my second year, so my placement information is based on seniors and placement sessions. Around 50–60% of students get placed. The highest package is about 18–20 LPA, and the average package is around 7 LPA. The roles offered include SOC Analyst, Network Security Engineer, and Cyber Security Analyst. Deloitte, Capgemini, Accenture, and Tech Mahindra visit the campus for placements, while many students are still looking for jobs.
Infrastructure: The hostel has snack vending machines. The campus is neat, with air-conditioned classrooms, Wi-Fi, good labs, and lots of greenery. A gym and canteen are available, and a full thali costs around Rs. 50–60. The hostel provides four meals a day, five-bed rooms, washing machines, AC/cooler options, an SBI branch, an SBI ATM, an Axis ATM, and a general store.
Faculty: Faculty members are approachable and supportive. The mentor-mentee system makes it easy to get academic guidance. The curriculum includes practical and industry-related topics. The examinations are of moderate difficulty. Regular attendance and preparation are usually enough to perform well.

CGC University review according to students.
Placements: Decent placements in CGC University with the highest package of 1 crore. Companies like Capgemini, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, and Microsoft visit the campus. Many companies come and offer decent placements to students. It helps them complete their dreams. Many students get placed with high packages.
Infrastructure: Hostels are very good with strong security, good food, and many facilities. The allowed timing is till 9 pm. After which, no entry is permitted for students. Strict discipline is followed in the hostel. Washrooms are clean with a 24/7 water supply and electricity.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and friendly in nature. They help students in every possible way and treat them like their own younger brothers and sisters. They provide personal guidance and industry collaboration with Capgemini. It helps students get placed in the first year itself.
Other: Events are regularly organized in the college with big names like Sunanda Sharma, Jasmine Sandlas, and Khusagra. Many students participate and enjoy. Scholarships of up to 100% are provided based on performance in the CGCUET exam.

CGC University Mohali is the best and most affordable university for students.
Placements: Placement offers are very good. Each year, more new companies provide placement offers and opportunities for students of every course. Microsoft and Google are the top recruitment companies in the college. The highest package offered is 1 crore, while the lowest is around 4–5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great. Each lab is air-conditioned. Classrooms are spacious with good seating capacity. The campus is clean. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus with IDs and passwords provided by the college to each student. Table tennis and pool tables are also available.
Faculty: Faculty is great, with professionals having industry experience in their respective fields. Each teacher is friendly and approachable, and every lesson is taught in depth. Doubts are explained and cleared easily.
Other: I chose this course because of the boom in security risks in the digital environment, and to protect against them. I wish there were a more practical approach to cybersecurity in this course.

CGC University is not worth taking admission.
Placements: CGC University records a record of one crore per annual placement for B.Tech CSE students, a milestone that highlights the university's growth, reputation, and technical education. In reality, connecting these achievements is promotional success for the institute and reflects strong placement support and training provided on campus.
Infrastructure: The campus offers a learning environment surrounded by lush gardens and trees covered by walking paths, creating a peaceful atmosphere for study sessions and group discussions. Student benefits from stage of the art of infrastructure that supports both academic excellence and personal development. The Institute of Paris offers experiential learning through various clubs, outdoor activities, and conversation projects with the numerous clubs.
Faculty: The faculty of CGC University generally receives positive feedback from students with a rating of 2.5 out of five based on verified student reviews. Teachers are consistently described as helpful, supportive, and well-qualified, many holding Ph.D. degrees and net qualifications.
Other: The programme is typically an undergraduate degree in CSE with a specialization in Cyber security lasting three years in case of BSE or possibly 4 years if it is a full engineering style quote, depending upon the Institute's offer, 8:00 AM to with knowledge and skills need in the cyber security domain network, security, ethical, hacker, digital forensic, and cryptography cloud security.

CGC University markets itself very well with advertisements.
Placements: CGC is popular for its placement records, especially in IT and management fields. Many recruiting companies like Enforce, Wipro, and Deloitte visit the campus. Some core companies also recruit through opportunities with average package or testing with a few students securing high packages in top MNCs.
Infrastructure: Campus is well-equipped with modern labs, libraries, hostel, sports facilities, and a distinct cafeteria. Classroom is smart enabled and it is conducive for learning. Hostel facilities are good but fees have been increasing recently. But the big drawback is the lack of AC classroom, which makes it uncomfortable in hot weather. Other resources are good. Hostel mass and rooms are also good.
Faculty: One of the biggest assets is the mass supply system. The university runs heavily through rechecks and reappearing for exams instead of improving the quality of teaching or reducing backlogs. They benefit financially when students have to repeat, apply, and pay a fee for the same day. They just creates unnecessary pressure on students and families while allowing trust in the evaluation system.
Other: CGC organizes many events, cultural phases, technical competitions throughout the year, giving students opportunities to participate in singing, dancing, sports, debates, and hackathons. These events bring energy to campus life, and they are one of the few positive aspects. However, they are often used more for promotional purposes than for a student's growth.

CGC University is average in academics and placements.
Placements: Placements are average and not as strong as advertised. Most companies offer low packages, and opportunities are heavily dependent on branches. Recently, CGC claimed that one of the students got a 1 crore package, but the truth is that the offer was off-campus.
Infrastructure: The campus looks big from outside, but classrooms lack even basic facilities like AC, which makes learning uncomfortable. Rooms and food quality here are good, but the hostels do not have enough capacity. Because of space constraints, many students are shifted to CGC Landran hostels, where the rooms and food are of very poor quality.
Faculty: The university gives very little focus to skill development. Classes are very theory-based. Students often struggle to gain real industrial-level experience. The mass supply system is a major issue. Instead of improving academics, the university benefits financially through rechecking and applying fees.
Other: CGC organizes many events, cultural festivals, and technical events throughout the year. Students do get opportunities to participate in singing, dancing, and sports etc.

Exploring the campus life of CGC, Mohali.
Placements: This college has provided equal opportunities to many students for their on campus placements. The highest package is recorded as 1 crore per annum, and the top recruiting companies are Deloitte, Amazon, Wipro, and TCS. Talking about Cybersecurity, companies like Sophos have tie ups with our campus, and this department also gets a push in terms of placements.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided within the campus are quite adequate. Each student has been allotted a personal Wi-Fi ID under the colleges personal database. The labs are very well maintained, and the systems are also updated. Most of them have good processors and performance. Each block has a separate library, and the library is full of resources in terms of educational books. The hostel is also completely fulfilling, and the food quality is good.
Faculty: The faculty is quite helpful and well qualified. Teachers are quite experienced with their expertise and are quite hardworking. Most of the faculty are Ph.D. holders, and the curriculum is very quality based. Students work on different projects, which helps them achieve skills required for getting industry ready. Semester exams are mostly based on the semester curriculum, and nothing goes out of the syllabus, the pass percentage is almost 90%. Experienced faculty efficiently work on industry ready projects with students and help them in adapting to the latest industrial technologies.
Other: I chose this course because I had an infatuation with the whole idea of hacking and system security. The best thing about my course is the experience that the faculty share with students, as most of them are quite connected to industrial officials. It would be better if the study becomes less theoretical and more practical, and I can proudly say that CGC Mohali has taken that onus and is consistently working towards the practicality of our course. The campus is full of energetic fests, and the crowd is also very engaging. Scholarships are also provided to students, which can be up to 100% based on their CGCUET rank.
