- An undergraduate degree in any discipline with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 65% (or equivalent); and
- A design portfolio
- One design studio subject and one art/architecture/built environment/design history subject at the undergraduate level, or equivalent
- If applicant are applying for the 3-year stream and need to meet prerequisite subject requirements, the following subjects meet the design studio prerequisite:
- ARCH10001 Foundations of Design – Representation
- ARCH10003: Design Studio Alpha
- ARCH20001: Design Studio Beta
- If applicant do not have a design background, the portfolio they submit as part of their application to this course will be collated with work from one of these subjects
- Applicant can complete one of the following subjects to meet the history prerequisite:
- Alternatively, Foregrounding: Design Studio & History (ABPL30065), an intensive quota subject through the Melbourne School of Design and the Community Access Program (CAP), is taught over a three-week period in November and covers the content to meet both the design studio and design history prerequisite requirements
