University of Trento secured its place in the year 2025 among the top universities in the world with #506 ranking according to the QS. This ranking has seen a declined trend when compared to its past year rank of #320 in 2024.
On the other hand, Shiksha Polpularity Ranking ranked the university at #10 position and ARWU (Shanghai Ranking) ranked it at #301 in 2024 at Universities Rankings.
The University of Trento courses have also secured ranks LL.M., M.A., Others PG for its #6, #4, #14 courses, respectively.

University of Trento offers about 20 courses, across 5 streams at the UG and graduate level. IT and Software, Business and Management Studies, Science, Engineering and Law are some of the most popular streams pursued by the institute’s student population. As far as specialisations go: Materials Science, Mathematics, Mechatronics Engineering, Energy Engineering and Physics are the most pursued ones.
Though the institute offers a vast array of courses, some courses are more relevant among students than others including, LL.B., B.Sc. and BBA at the UG level, while MS and M.Sc are popular at the PG level, of the 17 courses PG courses offered by the institute.
The overall duration of a course varies with the level of the course and the specialization, with UG courses having an average duration of 3 years, while that of PG courses is around 2 years.

Indian applicants can apply for University of Trento admissions on the university's Official Application Portal. Regarding admission rarities, the university offers admission to students based on the eligibility criteria for the course of choice. To gain admission, all overseas applicants must fulfil the University of Trento eligibility criteria, which include academic transcripts, GPA requirements, results on standardized and aptitude tests, CV. Additionally, students must provide their results from entrance/English language proficiency tests, such as IELTS, TOEFL and PTE.
