Studyabroad.shiksha.com got in touch with one of the students – Divyesh and learned how he secured admission in Ireland in times of Coronavirus pandemic. Finally, he is going to live his dream and pursue MSc in Business Information and Analytics Systemat University College Cork, Ireland.

Q. Why did you choose to study abroad? Did Covid-19 affect your decision at any point?

Divyesh: I decided to study abroad for masters to gain experimental knowledge that will be helpful for me to find a job in this domain. Having practical and experimental knowledge will help me prepare for future prospects. COVID has not affected my decision. I just thought of whether to study abroad or not when COVID was at peak point but as soon as cases started to decline, I was firm on my decision to go and pursue my dream.

Q. Was this particular country your only choice as a study destination or did you considered other countries as well?

Divyesh: I have only selected this particular country as I have done research regarding this country for more than 8 to 10 months.

Q. Once you were sure of going abroad to study, how did you research the application process? Was it a difficult stage?

Divyesh: The application process went quite easy because of my counselor who helped me in every possible manner. So, it was not difficult at all.

Divyesh: For Ireland, there was no visa interview, as we only need to submit the documents and the process is complete.

Q. What challenges did you face due to Covid-19 Lockdowns? Was it difficult to arrange finances?

Divyesh: Luckily, I did not face any problem due to COVID-19 as I have arranged for finance in the month of January. So, I haven’t faced any difficulties in raising finances.

Q. Was your family concerned about sending you abroad during these uncertain times? How did you convince them?

Divyesh: Yes, my family was concerned in the starting phase but I assured them that I will follow all the precautions and cases in Ireland have declined rapidly, so it is better for me to go rather than sitting for more one year.

Q. How did you come across Shiksha Study Abroad Counseling services? What is your honest opinion about the help provided to you by the team?

Divyesh: I came across Shiksha study online while searching for good study abroad counselors, so I registered with them and got the call within the next day and in 2-3 days, my process started. My honest opinion regarding the counselor and the team is that you can trust them with closed eyes. Whatever they say just do it in the same manner and you won’t face any problem any time during the whole application process.

Q. What additional support did you receive from the university or Shiksha counselors during this unforeseen situation?

Divyesh: I received every possible support from the counselor. I could contact them on any day any time whether it is Sunday or public holiday whenever I have any doubt, they resolved it within 2 hours. I received extreme support from my counselor. They even provided additional support regarding updates of flights and accommodation in Ireland.

Q. You have made it to your chosen study abroad destination. What advice would you offer to study abroad aspirants, especially amid the Covid-19 scenario?

Divyesh: I would suggest them to take a risk and go for it. Do not drop your plan to study abroad and extend it to next year as there may be more students planning and competition will be much higher next year. Also, I feel that all things will be normal after 8 to 10 months and you won’t face many difficulties regarding jobs as well.

Studyabroad.shiksha.com wishes Divyesh a prosperous career.
