Q:   How to get scholarship for Australian National University?

All applicants who apply for admission to ANU using the direct Admission Scholarship and Accommodation Application will be automatically considered for the award if they meet the eligibility requirements and choose to be evaluated for scholarships.

There are over 200 scholarships available to the students pursuing different course levels at ANU. While some scholarships are course/ program-specific, some are level-specific. For more detailed information related to scholarships available for the Indian international students, it is recommended that you visit the university website. 

Following are a few scholarships applicable in AUD for the Indian students enrolling at ANU. 

10kclub.io Scholarship:

Every year ANU College of Engineering & Computer Science offers an award known as the 10kclub.io Scholarship. The award is specifically for the undergraduate students who are undertaking a program or Major in a Computer Science discipline.

The award is reserved for prospective ANU student who is:

  • an undergraduate domestic or international student,

 

  • enrolled for a program or Major in a Computer Science discipline in the Research School of Computer Science, in the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science, and must have completed a minimum of 12 units of 3000-level COMP courses, 

  • and able to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to passion, innovation, and creativity within computer science discipline

 

The duration of the award is 12 months, which includes a stipend of AUD 10,000, will be paid to the scholar in two equal payments, paid after the semester census date

A E Ringwood Supplementary Scholarship:

This scholarship is provided by the Research School of Earth Sciences (RSES) and is designed to attract students of high caliber to pursue PhD research in Earth Sciences.

Applicant must have enrolled to pursue bachelor’s degree with first-class honours, or a research master’s degree from a recognised university; International Students will also be considered for this scholarship. 

Awardees of this scholarship will receive a full Tuition Fee Scholarships and an ANU (stipend) Scholarship, which includes travel to Canberra, reimbursement of some removal expenses, and thesis reimbursement allowance.

A&A Masters Higher Degree Research Award:

This scholarship award focuses to assist full-time final year students of a Higher Degree by Research program, offered by the School of Art in the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences. Students must demonstrate a high capacity for achievement in their chosen field of Arts practice.

The Australian National University acceptance rate is 35%, making it quite competitive in general. International students must have a minimum GPA of 5.0, an IELTS score of 6.5, and three to five years of work experience to be eligible for admission.
