Australian National University Placement overview
The Australian National University has been witnessing good career outcomes for its graduates, with placements being offered by brilliant renowned companies across the globe. A total of 2,189 ANU graduates participated in the survey. 45% of graduates who had a full-time job stated that the degree they had pursued from ANU was a pre-requisite formal criterion for their current job. 46% of full-time workers felt that their qualifications were very important or important for their present job.
More than 80% of graduates who were working felt that their degree equipped them with foundation, adaptive and collaborative skills for their respective jobs. Over half of the graduates with a full-time job were employed in the public sector, and 38% in the private sector within four months after graduation.

ANU Placement Stats 2023
79% of domestic undergraduate degree holders at ANU had full-time employment. At the postgraduate level, the full-time employment rate was 89.7% and at the higher degree level, it was 85.3%. The overall full-time employment rate of domestic students was 88%. Talking about international students’ full-time employment, the highest employment rate was witnessed by the higher degree research students at 84%. The overall full-time employment rate for international students was 77%.
Overall (Domestic/International Graduate) Employment by Study Level
This section discusses the employment rate on the basis of the study level of students possessing full-time, part-time as well as casual employment. 88% of domestic graduates were employed before the survey was conducted and 77% of international students had a job at the time of the survey.

ANU Full-Time Employment by Sector
54% of ANU graduates stated that they had a full-time job in the public sector approximately 4 months after graduation. 38% reported that they had full-time employment in the private sector. Most of the undergraduate students had a full-time job in the private sector (53%) and the postgraduate students were mostly employed in the public sector (56%). The least percentage of employment was witnessed in the not-for-profit sector by the undergraduate students (6%).

ANU Average Salary 2023
The overall average salary of ANU graduates was USD 75,166 in 2023. The full-time working undergraduates witnessed an average salary amount of USD 59,000 and an average of USD 82,330 was witnessed by the postgraduates (coursework) students. For the Higher Degree Research graduates, the average salary amount was USD 88,192.
As per the placement data, the job which yielded the highest average salary for ANU graduates was Executive Management & Change with the salary amount being USD 107,000 and the lowest salary was yielded by Finance Control & Strategy with the average amount being USD 64,000. Similarly, as per the degree, the highest salary was witnessed by graduates with an MBA degree, with the average amount being USD 91,000. The lowest amount was witnessed by the Bachelor of Arts graduates with an average salary of USD 64,000.
