Capilano University offers a wide array of options for housing to its students. CapU residence provides an affordable, safe and convenient housing option. The student community at CapU offers engaging programs and activities that help you meet new people and build lasting friendships. University residence starts at just $1,190 per month including all your meals, and your residence fees include a fully furnished room with a bed, storage, desk, chair and closet and many more things. For a shared double room total cost for the spring 2023 term is $4,728.29 and for single accommodation, the price per student is $5,501.31. Meanwhile, for summer full-term fees is $3,476.86 for shared double accommodation and $4,265.34 for single accommodation. Meal plans are mandatory for all residents.

If English is not your first language or received your education in a language other than English, then, you are required to demonstrate your proficiency in the English language. Capilano University accepts all the major English language tests. The minimum marks required in English tests are as follows:

• TOEFL: 83 (online test) and 560 (paper-delivered test)
• IELTS: 6.5 overall with no single score below 6
• PTE: 56 (overall)
• DET: 125 or higher with no sub-score less than 115

Capilano University was founded in 1968. It was founded through a referendum by the school boards and residents of North Vancouver, West Vancouver and Howe Sound. Capilano University is a teaching-oriented public university. Its main campus is in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Capilano University opened the Sunshine Coast campus in Sechelt in 1977 to serve the communities of Sunshine Coast. Another campus of Capilano University is located in the Shipyards development in Lower Lonsdale.

Capilano University offers some courses tuition free for Canadian citizens, and permanent residents, as well as seniors. International students applying at Capilano University for the first time are required to pay a one-time $5,000 deposit. This deposit is applied against your international tuition fees once you have registered for courses at the university. The average tuition fee for international students at Capilano University is CAD 20,000 per year for the 2024/25 academic year. CapU offers affordable, supportive, and convenient university housing to full-time students. The CapU residences are a few minutes away from the main campus. The residence halls are named after the local mountains – Grouse Hall, Cypress Hall, and Seymour Hall – and include housing and amenities for 290 students. Each room (excluding apartment-style) includes the following:

• Two twin size beds with drawer storage
• Two twin size mattresses
• Two desks with built-in shelving & lockable drawer
• Two desk chairs
• Two closets

Apart from this, two Bachelor apartments are available exclusively for students with the need for special accommodation. These apartments include a twin bed, a full private washroom, and a kitchenette.

Capilano University offers several accommodation options to international students. The campus residences offer a fully-furnished room, high-speed internet, shared TV lounges, study rooms, free laundry, events, programming and support. 
The accommodation prices for the Spring 2025 term are USD 4.7K for a shared double room and USD 5.5K for a single room. For the summer full term are USD 3.4K for a double room and USD 4.2K for a single room.
