Q:   Is getting part-time jobs easy while studying at Hec Montreal?

A: 

Although there aren't many jobs available on campus, Hec Montreal's Career Management Services may be able to assist students in finding work. International students enrolled part-time are not allowed to work unless they are nearing the end of their programme. If so, students are permitted to work off campus up to 20 hours a week.
Students may work both on campus and off campus, as long as they meet the requirements for both government programs.

 

Q:   How expensive is it to live at Hec Montreal?

A: 

On-campus accommodation: The HEC Montreal-Darlington residence offers 40 full-time international students the opportunity to rent a room in a university residence. The rent for a room is $965 per month for a 9-month lease, which is approximately INR 54,000 per month. 

Off-campus accommodation: Off-campus housing is often less expensive, with monthly rental fees ranging from around EUR 408 to EUR 1,103, depending on location and size. The rent for off-campus accommodation is approximately INR 36,000 to INR 98,000 per month.

Transportation: A monthly public transportation pass costs roughly EUR 58, which is approximately INR 5,100 per month.
