Fun loving and value for money.
Tips: I was quite stressed before coming here in London with the familiar environment and loving people in the university made me feel comfortable, especially the student ambassadors who were very helpful during the initial settlement days. I did avail 6000 in scholarship, which is known as the vice chancellor scholarship, so it became quite a value for money deal for me to join Brunel University, London.
Likes (Public transportation): Connectivity throughout London is really great. The blue university has three bus stops that cover the campus. The bridge station has metropolitan line connectivity, which connects the central London Bridge of connectivity quite well. Also, Heathrow Airport is just 20 minutes away from the university.
Dislikes (Part time work): Getting a part-time job while staying at Brunel University is quite difficult because there are not many jobs and the hiring crowd is on the colder side throughout the year. So you need to do real hard work to get a part-time job. University portals, part-time jobs, the training are helpful. Average payout is 12.21 per hour.

Happening, friendly and easy going.
Tips: The university environment is quite friendly. I was able to make many friends in the initial weeks only as all of them are very helpful and friendly in nature. I did away with 4000 of scholarship via the Brunel University portals. I am completely satisfied with the amenities that I'm getting with the investment of 20,000 for my studies. It's completely worth it and valuable.
Likes (Indian Food): In London, I am able to find every Indian food that's available in India, especially if you visit places like Hounslow South and BheemBali, you'll find all types of Indian food there. You find any difficulties in quenching your cravings and Jain food is also available in these areas.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The appointment settlement option in the UK right now is quite hard because of the new immigration rules. The policy is introduced by the government of the UK. This policy does not allow settlement in the UK. If given any chance, I will not settle in this country because of high taxation and increased crime.

Fun, loving, cultural diversity and a beautiful campus.
Tips: It was quite difficult during the initial days for me to adapt to this new country because of its culture and weather but I gradually adapted to the culture and the weather made friends during the open days of the university found Indians and also made foreigner friends. Here there is a lot of diversity, so you will not find it much difficult to adapt to this city when compared to other cities like Liverpool and Manchester because you will find a variety of clothes and foods from India.
Likes (Public transportation): Brunel University is well connected to London city. Brunel University is situated on the outskirts of London. That is Uxbridge but it favours good connectivity to central London via the Metropolitan line, which covers the famous stations such as Wembley Park, Kings Cross, Baker Street and much more. Once you get a travel pass with your student Oyster, travelling becomes a little of affordable. With the student Oyster travel card, you can travel within these specific zones unlimited times without paying any extra charge. I purchased a 100 travel pass from zone 4 to zone six for one month, during which I was able to travel unlimited times within these 2 zones.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The permanent immigration settlement options have been reduced here due to the new policies introduced by the United Kingdom Government, which don't favour permanent settlement in the UK. It's quite tough to get ILR right now and the conditions.

Value for money, beautiful view and relaxing environment.
Tips: It is a beautiful and huge university staying in on campus accommodation, which is inside the campus. My classroom is just two minutes walking distance away from my accommodation. I availed of 36000 of a scholarship which is known as the vice chancellor scholarship. I'm completely satisfied with the opportunities in the environment of the university.
Likes (Value for money): It is completely value for money. My tuition fee was 24,000 GBP but I got a 36,000 scholarship. The university has a big campus and gives us the chance to attain various leadership roles.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Permanent and immigration settlement options and now very low because of the new rules of immigration rules by the UK government, which have restricted permanent immigration. As of now, it's difficult to settle as new rules have been introduced for obtaining permanent citizenship and also employers are avoiding international students for export conditions is also not favourable for permanent settlement. As taxes are very high right now and crime has increased significantly in London city.

Choose institution based on the outline of courses and not rankings.
Tips: I would highly suggest focusing on universities based on the courses they offer and not expect any highly ranked institution to fulfil your needs. Brunel is a very academically rich institution and here I mean the faculty is amazing, which works wonders if you'd like to get into academia and build connections. Research is another strong suit of Brunel. This is because the courses some universities offer are well designed. If Brunel or UCL offer the same course, please do not interpret UCL as having a better programme.
Likes (Public transportation): Brunel is known for its amazing campus layout, for students have everything and anything they need within reach. It is surrounded by buses as well as a 10 min walk to the tube station, multiple grocery stores, shops, as well as the town centre is very accessible.
Dislikes (Internships): The institution provides career guidance and meetings to work towards placement. However, I believe the careers meeting was not as significantly helpful as it should have been. The placement opportunities, as well as the internships available, are not worth the tuition fee you'll be paying for the placement year.

Innovative teaching, beautiful campus and no regrets.
Tips: The university has huge cultural diversity and the university is so beautiful. When we love the view of the University, people are so friendly and welcoming. I also got a 6000 scholarship. That's why I chose this staff is brilliant. Teaching is tremendous.
Likes (Public transportation): The town Bridge is well connected via Metropolitan line, which connects with central London directly. Also, there are a number of bus services in Uxbridge, there are 4 to 5 bus stops around the campus. You have to pay flat 1.75 for bus travelling for one hour.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The current job market in the UK doesn't strongly favour sponsored roles. There is high competition. It has become quite difficult to secure sponsored rules, but the opportunities here are immense. You have the skill then nothing is difficult for you.

Amazing university for upskilling.
Tips: Very well structured course. Highly skilled and friendly faculty. Good infrastructure and would learn good soft skills. No issues with transportation. The library has good support for borrowing books. The amenities and campus are so huge and lively.
Likes (Safety): Security all around the campus. They always guard and make sure the safety of the students is their topmost priority. I have always felt safe even at night. Well monitored CCTV all across the campus. A good community around the campus that makes students safer.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The support on highly reputed companies could be an added advantage like big 4 for settlement. The placement cell support to the students can be improved to get the students placed in the top companies to get permanent sponsorship and a settlement option.

Fantastic, diverse and welcoming.
Tips: I would advise students to thoroughly conduct a research on what they want to study and the also allow plenty of time for applications before the start date of university. There are plenty of scholarships available in the website, you can apply for one when you're processing your applications which is a straight forward application. The faculty is highly knowledgeable, approachable and supportive. The teaching is research-oriented and application-based, interacting practical learning, case studies, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The faculty is also quite diverse, bringing a global perspective to the learning experience. Try to explore the city and actively participate in events, seminars, sports, etc.

Tips: Students should definitely apply for scholarships. When choosing your college, it is especially important to choose the right course. Don't just jump into any management course just to be in the UK. Choose the right course that will give you more credit and better job prospects, as determined by market analysis.
Likes (Safety): London is a safe city, especially for students. It's a nice, cool, and crowded city with a lot of Indian students. That makes it easier to get part-time jobs. So don't lose hope and apply for jobs often.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): It is hard to get a job in London. It is not that easy to get your field job in the blink of an eye. Likes (Safety): The campus is well-equipped with cameras, and police offices roaming all around. There's nothing that goes wrong until someone from the University does wrong. Make a lot of friends on the go. Everyone has unity all over the place. The infrastructure is well-built and people are generous.
Dislikes (Value for money): The tuition fee is high but the reputation is also the same. Research everything possible before coming to make your life easier here. Even start applying for jobs before coming to the UK. The value of the course increases every year.

Never wait for 2nd chance
Tips: Research about course modules and facilities offered for students. So for each course, you have to check what laboratory facilities are offered, what software is taught on your module, scholarship, university ranking, internship, student life, living expenses etc. If you've got a chance grab it, not everyone gets a chance. Also, take care of your expenses before coming here.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): When you start exploring UK, you'll find lots of opportunities to get sponsored for psw. There are many places where you would love to settle. When you move little away from London, you'll really love UK. There are many industrial firms to work in. So develop your skills, get placed in an firm, work for the time period for permanent residential status.
Dislikes (Value for money): In my opinion, I often feel I am spending more than what it is actually worth. At times I feel the university fee is a little higher than what they offer. Accommodation costs are high, its common in London but not for students coming from India. So come prepared for everything

Great faculty and interactive classes.
Tips: Be punctual and proactive. You should always stay active in the classes and listen to the teaching from the professor, as that will help you in your dissertation. I am very much satisfied with the faculty and the NUBS Team because they are very supportive.
Likes (Value for money): Ambience and education level are excellent, as well as teaching staff is very supportive. Every professor is very much interested in our doubts and queries. If you have any doubt related to studies, then you can directly email the professor and they will shortly answer you don't.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Dakwala restaurant is 20 per person. And this is too expensive for a one time meal for an international student coming from India. There are no such monthly tiffin options here for Indian food but when you come here then you'll automatically learn how to cook.

4.3
A supportive and career focused university experience in a student-friendly city.
Tips: The transition was smooth but there were some cultural adjustments. Teaching style is more self-directed and independent study is expected. People are friendly but social interaction and communication style differ from India. Weather can be a surprise with shorter winter days and colder climate.
Likes (Public transportation): Newcastle has one of the most convenient, reliable and affordable transport systems for students. Newcastle University is extremely central. The campus is within walking distance of the city centre. Well connected by metro, buses, trains and even e-scooters.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The job market in the UK especially for data-related roles, is promising, but securing a sponsored role still requires effort, networking, and strong skills. A good number of mid-size to large companies in the UK Sponsor Skilled worker visas. In the data space, these commonly include: Major consulting firms, Tech Companies, Financial institutions.

Newcastle is a vibrant student city.
Tips: Newcastle is a student city. It is vibrant alive and thrilling. But prepare yourself for the cold, walking at least 10,000 steps a day and cooking your own food. Start looking for part-time jobs from the day you move in particularly during the vacation period. At university, make friends, participate in activities and events. Also ensure you're attending lectures because this is where you build an academic network. Newcastle is a fun and absolutely safe city.

A good all rounder university for students.
Tips: I availed a scholarship of 7000 pounds and it is easy to get for Indian students and the transition was smooth. While starting university, we had a big welcome week to get us accustomed to here. I feel you can quickly get accustomed here. I'm satisfied with my university course and the city is also quite small and easily accessible.
Likes (Value for money): It is justified that you get study, lecture, seminar and computer cluster while also helping in getting jobs, CV and helping in mental health well being. Altogether you get worth of what you pay for. First thing they give you is free things like freebies, fair. You go to different activities and volunteer here.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Immigration and post work visa options are not very good in the UK, while a riot is also going on in this country. I wouldn't stay after my course. If you can get a job in this market you will already have proved yourself. Just be ready to give many interviews and job applications.

A supportive, vibrant, and truly global learning experience.
Tips: Newcastle University has been a smooth transition. Friendly professors, approachable staff and a welcoming culture. No major cultural shift, great support, and very satisfied with my course and the university environment. My course is research oriented and so I have less theoretical classes.
Dislikes (Safety): Faculty here is highly knowledgeable supportive and very approachable. Their teaching blends theory with real-world examples making learning engaging. The department is also quite diverse with staff from multiple nationalities.

Tips: Transitioning here was smooth though there were some cultural adjustments in terms of teaching style and communication. I didn't take any scholarship, but the guidance offered was very helpful. I am quite satisfied with the university the course structure and the country's student friendly environment.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There are good job opportunities, and many companies are open to hiring international graduates. Some roles also offer visa sponsorship. Especially in growing fields. The market is positive through competition. Realistic for dedicated students.

Good faculty and friendly people.
Tips: Start applying for jobs as soon as you arrive and attend all the seminars. There are 7000 pound scholarships available and numerous scholarships are also available for Indian students but you have to apply for them separately. Groceries and costs are cheaper in Newcastle compared to other cities and there are plenty of part-time job opportunities.
Likes (Value for money): The various events are held almost all week, attend all the job fair and career fair, they are very important and you will also get certain exemptions from ACCA paper so know this and merit student will get CFA scholarship, I think which is very nice.
Dislikes (Internships): Everything is very nice and especially the career cell of Newcastle University is fab and the city is very chill and cool. People here are very friendly. You will have access to your Newcastle portals through which you will get all the material you want.

4.2
Affordable city, quality education and respectful people.
Tips: The transition was smooth though there's a clear cultural shift. Classes are interactive and self-study is key. I didn't take any scholarships but there are several if you apply early. I'm very satisfied with the university, course and city. Newcastle is affordable, supportive and great for both academic and personal growth.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation in Newcastle is extremely convenient and reliable. Most essential places are within walking distance from the campus which already makes daily travel easy. On top of that, the city has frequent buses that run on time, and students get discounted fares when using the Pop card. The city is well connected, affordable and very student friendly.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part-time jobs in Newcastle are available but not easy to secure especially when you first arrive. On-campus roles are limited and usually competitive so most students rely on off-campus opportunities in retail, hospitality or restaurants. By the time Christmas season arrives, hiring increases and most students manage to find something. Balancing part-time work with academics is manageable as long as you sick to 15 to 20 hours a week. The coursework requires consistent self-study so time management becomes important. The average payout for part-time work range from minimum wage to slightly higher depending on the role.

A supportive university with strong academics and global exposure.
Tips: Before joining this college students should know that the academic environment is quite independent and research-oriented, so good time management, self-study, and proactive communication with lecturers are essential. The assessment style focuses more on assignments, projects, and critical thinking rather than wrote learning. My transition was smooth though there was an initial cultural shift in terms of teaching style, punctuality, and communication. People are generally polite and professional, and adapting to independent living and academic expectations took some time but became comfortable gradually. I did not avail of a scholarship, but the university provides guidance on external funding options, early-payment discounts, and part-time work opportunities to support students financially. I am satisfied with the university, the course structure, and the country, as they offer good academic quality, international exposure, and a safe, welcoming environment for international students.
Dislikes (Student Life): It's better nice to be here and participate in everything. I am at social club in university. Meeting new friends and sharing knowledge is best. The campus offers a good balance between academics and social activities, though participation depends largely on individual involvement. I enjoy being part of the social club as meeting new people and sharing knowledge makes college life more engaging and enjoyable. The university regularly organizes cultural festivals, workshops, career events, sports activities and society meet-ups. I try to participate whenever possible, especially in social and networking events. There are various student clubs and communities such as social clubs, cultural societies, sports teams, academic groups and volunteering communities, which create a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Vibrant student life.
Tips: Be prepared for the climate change and windy weather, it could also get yourself a nice windbreaker and coats, also get yourself comfortable fair or shoes. But everything is awesome and you're going to love it here, places to go around which feel like dreamland, castles, beaches and lovely people.
Likes (Part time work): 12.21 pounds per hour if you are over 21, but for under minimum wage is around 10 which I am not very sure of. But you can sometimes get more than minimum pay in on-campus jobs as they also pay more to students. If you are coming in September, I will try to start the job hunt as soon as possible.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Currently threshold is very high and very low chances of getting a sponsorship visa. Also, the post-study work visa is reduced to 18 months, which is gonna impact the job searches. But if you have the required skills, you can land a sponsorship role, but it's always best to make connections.

4.5
Best university for students with low budget.
Tips: As of now, it's very different from what I had thought of. I loved the way of teaching. There are lots of chances in my social and professional life. I regret that while I say this, the civic sense of the people in the UK is far better than our home country, India. I got the Vice Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship, which covers 7000 against the tuition fee. This is based on earlier grades and experiences and is awarded on a "first-come, first-served" basis. I am very much satisfied with the university, the course and the country. I love them all.
Likes (Student Life): In general, very welcoming and friendly people. The city is peaceful and beautiful. Teachers and neighbours are very helpful. Classes are very much interactive and learning is based on two-way communication. A lot of support is provided to the international students; you just need to grab it. All kinds of sports and cultural events are being organised on campus. And we often have chances to win prizes and events, also support freebies for students, so that's a plus point. There are clubs for dance music and all the sports one can think of. So don't worry, students have enough chances to showcase their skills and talents.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Visa rules are being changed and there is very less scope for international students to get settled. For PhD and jobs also, as per the government guidelines, companies and universities focus more on home students than international ones. ILR entry pathways have been extended to 10 years from the earlier 5 years. My chances of getting a permanent settlement are at a moderate level. Although I have an engineering background but job market is quite competitive for experienced people. And as a renewable energy engineer with 2 years of experience, it's comparatively easier for me than other study backgrounds. Given a chance, then of course I would like to permanently immigrate to this not because of job or money, but because of civic sense and work-life balance.

A welcoming, high quality university with vibrant city.
Tips: Vibrant city with good nightlife. Before joining Newcastle, students should know that it's a research intensive, academically demanding institution with a friendly campus culture, a relatively affordable cost of living compared to southern UK cities.
Dislikes (Part time work): I have not been able to secure one and it's been 3 months since I came. There are jobs available on campus as well but difficult to get one in the engineering domain; mostly are for research and sports. Getting a part time is highly competitive, and often they are filled too quickly.
