Master of Engineering in Computer Science - Batch of 2026
4.1
Friendly faculty and diverse campus.
Tips: Students should understand the university's academic reputation, curriculum structure, and total cost, including tuition and living expenses. It's also important to explore campus facilities and student life to see if it's a good fit. Try to research the average job rates and internship opportunities available. The strength of the alumni network can also help in making an informed decision.

I feel that this college is such a nice place to explore things and travel to reach our aspirations.
Tips: I've become more determined in my work since coming here. I've experienced a bit of a cultural shift, but I was looking forward to that. Unfortunately, I did not receive any scholarships. My day at UC starts with an on-campus part-time job and ends with classes. The class schedule is flexible, so students can arrange their timetable around their part-time hours. There are many types of events on campus, including regional events, blood drives, and awareness programs. There is also a wide range of student clubs and organizations that are very helpful in the growth of students. I'm really happy with the college, the course, and the country.
Dislikes (Safety): The faculty in my department are highly accessible and approachable. The teaching methodologies are unique in that the LMS has all the course modules, which allows us to preview the concepts before class. The teaching faculty is diverse in terms of nationality. I have professors from India, Japan, China, the USA, and Africa.

University of Cincinnati is great. I had wonderful experiences.
Tips: The University of Cincinnati is a great school. The people are good, the faculty is good, and the system is good. Scholarships are very possible, but you have to be smart when asking for them. I would highly suggest diversifying your friend group to really get the culture and the way of life of the American people. I had a great experience at the University of Cincinnati.

BS in Business Analytics - Batch of 2026
3.8
Amazing University but could use some help in being diverse and inclusive.
Tips: The experience was full of ups and downs. I applied to the university during the application process and was accepted. I was very satisfied with the University of Cincinnati. There are a lot of opportunities, especially for the parents and family ambassador job. The hours are very flexible. The Digital Philanthropy Associate job has fixed hours and must be followed accordingly. If you manage your time well, both jobs are pretty manageable. The starting pay rate for both jobs is 10 Dollars per hour.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There are multiple companies, but not enough jobs that align with a Business Analytics major. Data analyst, tax accountant, data entry, financial modelling, risk management, insurance management, and wealth management are all positions that start at 75,000 Dollars.

University offers quality education and enriching experience.
Tips: University offers diverse programs and a vibrant campus life, with ample resources and support services for students. The inclusive environment helps ease any cultural shift. Scholarships are available based on merit. The application process is pretty straightforward.
Likes (Indian Food): There are numerous Indian restaurants in Cincinnati, and quite a few around the university campus. There's plenty of options catering to both south and north Indians. If you enjoy cooking, you can find all the ingredients at the nearest Indian grocery store.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The current market situation is not very favorable and lot of companies are looking for candidates that do not require any visa sponsorship. Quite a few of my peers from the programme are working as data/ business analyst, develops and project managers.

Student life is great here. Affordable transportation.
Tips: You won't see any cultural shift cause you try to live mostly with your community people. I received a scholarship of 4,000 $ along with admission. Our course strength is 70 so the effectiveness of teaching is more. My advice is to aim for college and courses that have less strength. In mass numbers like 600-700, it's absolutely waste of time cause maximum cases learning curve will be very low and there will be a lot of scrap around you.
Likes (Student Life): Cincinnati is affordable, and there are lot of openings for data roles in the city. Campus shuttles save you money and energy, college transportation facilities are really good. Coming to cultural activities there Indian associations led my undergrad students so they will cover the most celebrated festivities.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are lot of incoming students so it's becoming difficult to find on-campus part-time, off-campus you need to be prepared to travel for long distances. Time management depends on the course, our course had 10 subjects per semester and you can imagine how many assignments we will be dealing with on a daily basis. Average pay for part-time is 10$.

Additionally, be prepared for harsh winter weather conditions in this region. Overall, good education is provided at a reasonable price comparatively.

Expense-wise it is quite reasonable and with a good Co-op program.
Tips: There are scholarship chances. Apply as early as possible. In case, you don't get a scholarship apply for TA and RA positions. MS Information Systems is a fast-paced programme. You will not get to learn courses in-depth but you will get exposure to different IT domains.
Likes (Internships): The University of Cincinnati has a good Co-op programme. MS Information Systems programme has a separate career counsellor and the programme Director conducts seminars every Friday. In these seminars, he brings representatives of the companies and students get to interact with them. Also, there are Career Fair. The programme requires you to complete 24 weeks of internship to graduate so along with academics, students start looking for internships from a very early stage.

Safety is an issue. But value for money overall.
Tips: Get ready to work. Things will not be easy. There is a good possibility for you to not get a part-time. Life is not going to be easy and it will be a big shift financially. Don't forget that you came here to study, which a lot of students forget down the track. This is generally with any university.
Likes (Value for money): The cost of living is rather cheap and you get scholarships based on merit as well. Your amount of expenditure vs income opportunities and risk of a job is better weighed when compared with other universities in the same level/cadre. Scholarship opportunities are big as well.
Dislikes (Safety): The safety in Cincinnati is less. I personally experienced a lot of shooting news and situations. Recently a fellow Indian student was shot too. So always be safe. The campus is close to downtown and has a lot of drug addicts on the road which can be an issue.

Amazing campus life but tough to find part-time jobs.
Tips: The University of Cincinnati has an amazing campus, life is never mundane here. There is always something to do in this city. The main campus has scenic views. All the campuses offer several classes. There are certain requirements and expectations from each and every student. I highly enjoyed my classes here, as they were challenging yet interesting. The majority of the professors are UC graduates. They start from the basics no matter how much previous experience you have. The university is affordable and offers several scholarships. Students should apply for scholarships around the fall of their senior year, as it increases their chances of getting aid. The transportation service is not a problem here as the university has a shuttle running all over the campus on weekdays. At last, I would say that it's a pretty decent university. After graduation, there are many opportunities knocking on your door.
Likes (Indian Food): Cincinnati has many top Indian food restaurants that serve good and tasty food. However, the level of spices used is a bit less when compared to my home country, but still, it is better than any other place. The restaurants offer various Indian dishes and a great ambience. Many students try to cook food on their own even if they don't know how to cook food properly. Well, that's what I have come across while being a student. It's always better to prepare food the way you want. Also, if I put the taste preference aside, the food served in restaurants is not very healthy and is costly at the same time.
Dislikes (Part time work): It is a bit tough to find a part-time job in Ohio, but sooner or later you will land with an opportunity. Most of the students receive around $ 8 as their minimum wage after tax deductions. We can work here for up to 20 hours a week if you are an international student. Both on-campus and off-campus part-time job opportunities are available, but it is a bit difficult to get an on-campus part-time job, as many students, including the local students, digging out for the same opportunity.

Good balance between life and academics
Tips: There are a lot of opportunities to explore various clubs/activities that happen around the year. A great place to express your passion/interest and pursue hobbies other than academics. Scholarships are available by default for most of the Master's programmes. Tuition fees are friendly on the pocket. A nice city to live in beyond academic tenure.
Likes (Indian Food): Lot of Indian restaurants and other cuisine options around the university area. One will never miss Indian food if one lives nearby to the university. Pricing is reasonable as well. Food delivery options are available as well. Most of the Indian restaurants offer a buffet for lunch.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Students can apply for free metro bus pass to take rides anywhere in the city. However, connectivity to all locations might not be there, and if it does, the frequency is less. Largely, one has to rely on Uber/Lyft if you do not wish to take public transportation or own a vehicle.

University of Cincinnati is research oriented and a great value for money.
Tips: The transition here is easy as there are many International students to explore the place with. Good scholarships are available depending on the degree. MS in CEAS students get a GIA award for $20K. Coursework is good with more focus on research. The thesis is mandatory for CEAS MS students so know about it more before coming here.
Dislikes (Part time work): Jobs are available in dining services and other available outlets however many students apply so it is difficult to get one immediately. For an international student off-campus jobs are illegal so I wouldn't recommend doing one. The starting pay here is $10.

We achieve our goals if we can select the best path for us.
Tips: Students need to focus on getting scholarships as there are many opportunities available to get scholarships like TA, RA and GA and you can also be referred by your professors if you perform best in your course. Also, students need to focus on their careers by learning each course they offer and to be aware that the courses they are registering for are helpful or not.
Likes (Value for money): The tuition fees are justified but I think not for MS IT students they need to pay more but if they acquire a job then it’s easy for them. It’s a good college to choose from and many opportunities are available, also the cost of living is way better compared to other cities.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Mostly the jobs are available for core students and software students need to struggle and attend each class to get the best knowledge and attend seminars to improve networking. They must also get more comm in LinkedIn and choose the course wisely.

Affordable education with good opportunities, but requires adaption.
Tips: Students should know that moving here requires some adjustment, both academically and culturally. The teaching style is more self-driven, so you need to be independent in your studies. Culturally, there is a definite shift; life is more structured, punctual, and rules are followed very strictly compared to back home. I did not avail any scholarships, so I managed expenses on my own. Overall, I am satisfied with my university and course because they provide good exposure and learning opportunities. Living in Germany also has its pros and cons, but overall, it is a rewarding experience if you are open to adapting.
Likes (Value for money): I only pay semester contribution fees per semester and no tuition fees, compared to other students and universities. Although new students now have to pay 500 in tuition fees each semester, I came here before these fees were introduced, so I feel my cost is fully justified, giving me excellent value for the education and opportunities available.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The opportunities for students are limited due to the current job market. Only a few companies sponsor visas, and the process is highly competitive. The roles typically available for graduates are internships and working student positions, which offer lower salaries compared to full-time roles. Visa-sponsored, full-time positions are rare, making the transition difficult.

It's a great university with a good faculty, and they focus on extracurricular activities.
Tips: Having a good command of the German language will make life much easier. It's not easy, but it's still an interesting experience. The course is interesting to study, especially if you're passionate about management. The university also helps expand your horizons through conferences and industrial guest lectures.
Likes (Indian Food): Indian restaurants are available, and Indian groceries offer ready-to-cook meals. Nearby Munich also has various options. However, I prefer cooking at home, as the average cost of eating out is 15 to 20 euros.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part-time work is available, but one needs a command of the German language to find jobs in good locations or the city centre. If your German is not good, you might need to travel a bit for part-time jobs. Moreover, the focus should be on internships and working students, not just part-time work.

Practical oriented college.
Tips: Be prepared for a challenging environment, as it can be tough adjusting to a new college or country. Mental preparedness is key. There's a significant cultural shift here, including higher prices and different store hours; most close by 8 PM and are closed on Sundays. Overall, I am very satisfied with my college because of the low tuition fees and the excellent quality of education.
Likes (Student Life): The student life is great. The college is nice, with a great library, good location, and well-suited facilities. The lectures are good, and the M.Sc. in Engineering and Management course curriculum is excellent, with lots of project work and a practical approach.
Dislikes (Part time work): Ingolstadt is a small city, and finding part-time work can be challenging. We often have to look for jobs in other cities or on the outskirts of Ingolstadt. Good experience, highly recommended.
Tips: My transition has been smooth; there are many Indians here, and lots of Indian groups where we can connect with long-term residents who share their experiences, which is very helpful for newcomers. It's an amazing city, and I've had a good experience so far, with great people and no racism. Scholarships are available; while I didn't apply, my friends were able to get them, so it seems easy to obtain. I am thoroughly satisfied.
Likes (Part time work): The city is peaceful, with little rush and empty buses, which I appreciate. There are frequent events and active student groups. Parties happen both on and off campus; club events can be pricey and crowded, and on-campus parties are enjoyable. Many hiking and trekking opportunities are there, along with many intercultural events where people of different backgrounds share their food and culture, which is fun. There are also various sports groups where you can join activities like callisthenics, basketball, football, and gym, and they offer free skill training through student-run programs.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Very approachable and educated, they are easy to talk to and reach out to. They do not make it difficult to answer questions and provide guidance, but you need to follow the appointment system. They will not be available at all times, and you cannot just barge into their office without a prior appointment. The faculty is mostly German, but one was South Asian. Their methodology is very structured and well-thought-out, so it feels organised and not random or confusing.

Practical learning at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt.
Tips: Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt offers strong industry ties, especially with Audit. The cultural shift was manageable, and the locals were friendly, but knowing German helps. The university does not provide any scholarships because they are too hard to get.
Likes (Value for money): Tuition fee at THI is just 500 euros for the entire course, unlike many universities that charge thousands per semester. Add in strong academics and industry exposure, and it's an excellent value for money that makes the education here highly affordable.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are numerous on-campus job opportunities, including research assistant positions and regular job fairs. Off-campus roles are available due to the proximity of the Audit and MediaMarkt HQs. Munich is close as well. The university does not provide much practical exposure.
Tips: The university helped me learn a lot about adas development and artificial intelligence. I had to do everything myself, though. It’s a little hard to get a scholarship, and I wasn’t able to get one. Student jobs provide financial safety, and the university mensa provides good-quality food that is cheaper than food served at restaurants outside of campus. The Student Affairs office is very helpful in responding to students’ concerns. Public transportation is not great, and the cost of living is high. At least the curriculum was good, so I was satisfied, and I learned a lot about automotive development and testing.
Dislikes (Part time work): There were some part-time jobs on campus, but the job market is small and dominated by technical positions. Also, there's not much available. The average pay is in line with government regulations. Sometimes it can be really hard to find a job on campus, and I sometimes had to travel an hour or more to get to work.

Master of Engineering in Automotive Production Engineering - Batch of 2024
Offered by Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt

Great learning with challenges.
Tips: Students should find their accommodation beforehand. Contact the university representative for details and pick them up at the train station. Take some information regarding the city, like routes, taxis etc. Install the INVG bus app for transportation in city. Search regarding scholarship. For Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt, there is no tuition fee for the Automotive Production Engineering course. They are taking only the student union fee, which is around 70 to 80 euros. They have a top-class library, and the facilities include PCs, books, and private rooms for studying and practising presentations.
Dislikes (Indian Food): In Ingolstadt, there are many Indian restaurants, but you should expect to pay 20 to 30 Euros per person. Students mostly cook their food. It's healthier, and this also saves money. If you like Indian cooking, you can shop at Indian stores in Ingolstadt, where you can find Indian spices, lentils, and vegetables.

It can be hard, but opportunities are there.
Tips: The city here is small, so it is only natural that there are fewer opportunities. But if you’re skilled enough, you will be able to get student assistant roles at the university. If this doesn’t work out, Munich is nearby and has many job opportunities. It’s worth noting that the university can be a bit demotivating sometimes, but stick to your goals, and don’t let them get to you. Besides, the faculty is really welcoming and will guide and assist you throughout the semester. People are very friendly and love to socialize a lot. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the course, country and the university.

A highly structured and pragmatic approach into the courses.
Tips: When I arrived at the school, there was no tuition fee. However, starting in 2024, tuition will be 500 euros per semester. As soon as you arrive, start applying for internships and work-study positions. Once you get a position, stick with that company and finish your master's degree as quickly as possible. Students should also make a significant effort to learn German.
Likes (Safety): In all of Germany, safety is almost never an issue. You feel safe walking the streets even at night, and people are generally helpful. If you forget your phone or laptop at a university desk, no one will bother you or your belongings.
Dislikes (Internships): Applying for internships is usually very difficult for students who don't have a very good hold on German Language. Also, Ingolstadt is a very small city and therefore finding any technical internship nearby is not easy. In addition, there are no campus placement programs like there are in India.

Great learning experience with challenge.
Tips: Find your accommodation before starting your studies. The university can send someone to meet you at the train station to help you get settled in. I think you should check out the scholarship programs that the university has. They aren't common here, so you might have to search. But it could be worth it. It's a great college. I think you'll like the course. Some of the material might be a little off, but overall, it'll be a good experience. It could make a difference in your future job prospects.
Likes (Value for money): Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt has a top-class library with all the facilities like personal computers, books, private room for study and you will also get a tablet for your study, research labs, and practical labs. Besides, there is no tuition fee, but only a student contribution of approximately 70 to 80 euros.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There is a restaurant called Chai roti, but it costs 30 euros per person. Luckily, I can prepare my food at home, and an Indian store in the city of Ingolstadt has all types of spices, ready-made Chappati and vegetables.
