Q:   What is the minimum GPA needed to study at Waseda Tokyo?
A: 

There are no set minimum GPA requirements for entry to any of the schools at Waseda University Japan. Students however, are required to maintain great academic scores. The Waseda University Tokyo Acceptance Rate is only between 20% and 45%.

Students with good academics are prioritised for admission by the university. Shiksha Study Abroad counsellors (for free) can guide students the best on the requirements they need to meet to get into Waseda.

Q:   How much does it cost to rent an apartment around the Waseda Uni region?
A: 

In Waseda, average monthly rent for an apartment ranges between YEN 70,000-YEN 100,000 or INR 42.1 K-INR 60.2 K per month. Apartments are usually more expensive compared to dorms and shared rooms.

Apartments are better for students on scholarships or with bigger budget.

Q:   Can I transfer from my current university to Waseda University Japan?
A: 

No, students cannot transfer to Waseda University from their current institution anymore. Only the School of Political Science and Economics (SPSE) used to accept transfer students at the university. However, it has now discontinued transfer admissions from 2026 onwards.

The university accepted transfer students until 2025. But that is not possible anymore.
