The lovely experience of being part of something bigger
Tips: Coventry University has a strong practice-oriented psychology program, but it’s worth knowing upfront that independent study forms a big part of the workload. Lectures are only part of the picture, you’re expected to read and research well beyond class hours. Budgeting for living costs in the UK is also worth planning for early, since tuition is only part of the expense. The adjustment always takes time when transitioning, for me, I expected the cultural shift, and even after expecting it, there were still so many things I didn’t expect. Though over time the shift became more manageable, I found the environment supportive for building both academic and personal independence. I didn’t receive my scholarships for my course, though I am sure there are scholarships available for different courses. Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience. The MSc in psychology gave me a solid academic foundation and a BPS membership, which has been valuable.

Not worth for the fees we play
Tips: There is no practical experience gained from this course where you can come out as a right fit for the job. They could have trained the students for PRINCE2 and made them aware in a pragmatic way. Also, the number of students per class is so heavy that individual attention won't be received.
Likes (Public transportation): I studied on the London campus, which was near to one of the main train stations and bus stops. You will also easily get accommodation and part-time jobs nearby. You can get access to buses and trains to many areas easily; also, it is almost in the central London.
Dislikes (Student Life): First of all, the course is not worth the money we pay. There are no proper programs to upskill the students, and no direction towards getting certified or any hands-on experience was provided by the college. They could have easily done for the huge price we pay.

The university is joyful, fun and diverse
Tips: Students can check for scholarships; there are many scholarships listed on their website. I am satisfied with the practical teaching from the university professors. Your mental health is the top priority for the university. We had free bus transportation to the university campus through some bus stops.
Likes (Indian Food): The university is known to host a large Asian population; hence, Indian food and flavor are easily accessible, although they are a bit expensive, and there are many types of cuisine available. You also get a lot of multicultural cuisines around the city. It feels like home away from home. Just don't worry about food.
Dislikes (Internships): For international students, it's very hard to find internship options. There are students who come with a placement year. This might help them to find internship opportunities since there is an additional year to help them find internships. For sustainability, though job opportunities are more, again, finding placements is a tough job, like in any other field.

Calm and full paced life with money and study.
Tips: If your previous academics are good, then you’ll get a scholarship from Coventry. I was very satisfied with my college, but the country is not that safe for Indians anymore. The university was very welcoming and supportive for the international students as well. Mostly Indians, but still a good one. But there are better options than Coventry, to be honest.
Likes (Public transportation): The transportation by bus and train is very convenient. It is very close to the university. You can go by the Metropolitan line or can go by bus as well. For the Metropolitan line, you need to pay £4.20 per day. And by bus, you need to pay 1.5£ per trip, which goes to 3£ per day.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): If you go for just a 1-year course, then you will not have any post-study jobs or any campus placements. For that you need to apply for a 3-year course, which includes 1 year of internship and 6 months of placement chances. Job roles are generally in international marketing or in import/exports. You generally get the base salary, which is up to 36000/- annum.

Tips: If you’re actually planning on coming here, honestly, you've got to be pretty disciplined with your time. It’s not the kind of place where people hold your hand—you're expected to figure a lot out on your own, and the workload definitely catches up with you if you aren't careful. You can't just sit in the back of the room either; you’ve actually got to speak up in seminars and get involved in the group projects if you want to do well. On the plus side, the scholarship situation is worth looking into. I managed to land one by applying through the uni portal—it was mostly based on my grades and some paperwork—but it definitely took a chunk off my tuition, which was a huge relief.

There are plenty of bus stops within in the city which makes intercity commute convenient.
Tips: Coventry gives you a chance to mingle with people all around the globe as you can find students from at least 5 different countries in 1 class. You get to experience different cultures as part of the transition and your exposure would be sky high. I didn’t avail any scholarships but it is fairly easy to secure one. You can get scholarships from 2000 pounds upto full coverage of your journey with Coventry. I’m satisfied with my university but securing internships or placements related to my current subject in focus proved to be very difficult for me.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Permanent settlement in this country is quite difficult to get, you need to work up the ladder. If your sole focus is to get a PR in the UK, then the route you take is very important. My chances were fairly high and I’d not permanently immigrate to the UK.

Tips: Coventry University London Campus is situated in the Central London area, which is within walking distance of Liverpool Street Station. Considering the location in mind, it makes the living cost significantly high for students, due to the expensive accommodation. Also, the London campus has management courses generally and the one that opt "Global Healthcare Management and Leadership programme" is only available here and not in the main campus. Studies are also easy and you can get enough part-time opportunities here.
Likes (Indian Food): The university is located in Central London where Indian food options are limited unlike the other zones of London. Areas such as Wembley and Harrow have a good number of Indian restaurants which will not let you feel that you are away from India. Also, Indian snacks are easily accessible here but they are costly.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The UK is frequently challenging its immigration regulations, which is making settlement options more challenging. So, if you are coming UK to study, keep your options open for other countries like the Netherlands. After completion of your course, you can find work opportunities and better settlement options too.

Likes (Public transportation): Transport aboard is structured and on time. The driver is a little rude, he tells everyone to silent there mobile phones in order to maintain silence in the bus which is quite nice while travelling. If you really want to listen to something on your mobile phone you need to use headphones. Takes time to adapt to their type of diet. You need to keep in mind that you will always get juice as the first source of drink. If you are someone who needs water when you are thirsty you will need to carry your own water bottle or ask someone explicitly.

Tips: Before joining Coventry, students should know that even though there is support from faculty, learning is entirely independent and the faculty will just guide us and the use of any forms of Gen AI for doing assignments will have a very serious consequences. And I am entirely satisfied with the university and the course. Also One major advice I would like to give is to understand the job market in the country before you come for Masters here if the job market and opportunities are less then your just wasting your money and I would definitely advice for people opting for Masters in IBM please don't come here if your choosing that course as almost all of my friends are unemployed and going back.
Likes (Value for money): The university provided a scholarship for 5000 GBP and for the modules they are teaching, the cost is very less compared to the service they are providing because there are faculty members and respective departments who will help you in each and every step for whatever problems you are facing.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The opportunities available for post study jobs are very competitive and mainly it depends on which field you are opting for because the field I have opted for has a good amount of opportunities and I am getting interviews. But many of my friends in fields like supply chain, IBM are not getting any jobs. But ultimately it depends on you that is how actively you apply for jobs every day.

A brutally honest and good review about my uni.
Tips: The staff members here are super helpful and friendly. To ask for support, "Help is given to those who ask for it". It is also very good at offering scholarships, and giving membership for sports and societies. Worth joining. Support is given, you can book meetings with your lecturers at their availability, etc.
Likes (Public transportation): Easy to access public transport, because I've experienced this before. Travelled by train, bus and cycle. You can purchase train and bus fares online and gain an e-ticket or real life ticket to use on public transport. If you live close by, you can easily walk to the campus or cycle there, which reduces the cost of travelling by public transport.
Dislikes (Internships): Not many opportunities, but to gain, it should be asked for. Although I have tried to ask for opportunities from outside of the university, it hasn't paid off, due to high competition for positions. Although it is worth trying, as it will give you loads of experience and opportunities to try.

Likes (Student Life): My experience was very nice. The environment provided a good balance between academics and personal growth; I always felt supported and engaged. A day used to include lecture group discussion and networking with fellow peers. There were regular academic workshops, cultural events, guest lectures, career fair and networking meetups.
Dislikes (Internships): For me, the internship was not satisfactory and the process is heavily dependent on their own network rather than receiving institutional support. Also, there is very much limited guidance. But there are general resources available for personalised support and mentorship.

The professors are excellent, the infrastructure is great, and the library is the best part.
Tips: Be prepared for a significant cultural difference and be open to accepting it. People here are sensitive; you should be polite and it's important to say thank you and sorry often. I received a scholarship of 5000 GBP, which I got by paying my full fees upfront. Likes (Indian Food): You can find Indian cuisine easily everywhere. Walking on any street in the UK you'll find good and cheap Indian restaurants and cafes with competitive prices. Regardless of your country of origin, you'll definitely find restaurants here. Public transportation is very good and you can commute anywhere by bus or train and it's also very cheap.
Dislikes (Internships): I've observed that only a few students secure internships. This isn't due to a lack of opportunities but rather the high level of competition. While I've only completed one semester, I believe it's not as difficult as it seems, but it's still very competitive. You need to prove yourself to get an internship. Otherwise finding part-time jobs can be challenging but you should be able to secure one within 1-2 months.

A valuable learning experience with unique challenges for international students.
Tips: The transition was generally smooth, although adapting to the academic structure and British culture took some time. The university does offer support when asked. I received the Phoenix Scholarship, which covers one year of accommodation within the student accommodation. To qualify you just need to pay 50% of the first-year fee before August for September intake. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Indian Food): I live in Coventry City Centre, which is within a 2-mile radius of the university. There are lots of restaurants to choose from, and many of them are inexpensive. South Asian food is especially popular, and it's easy to find a restaurant that serves it. I prefer to cook for myself, but I do go out to eat with friends at least twice a week.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Currently, there are no jobs, and recently the government changed some policies that affected the companies to take international students for work, as we will have 2 years of post-study work visa the employers always need at least 4 years of visa for the student to be selected.

Tips: You can contact the university about its mentoring program, where you can connect with seniors who help with academics and other matters, like city registration, the Deutschlandticket, how to apply, and all. you can also appy for deutschlandstipendium. Germany's culture and work-life balance are very good.
Likes (Public transportation): Nowadays, with the Deutschlandticket, traveling is very comfortable and cheap. The Deutschlandticket offers great accessibility to the local and regional transport systems and makes the process of commuting and traveling inside Germany very comfortable. Nowadays, travel costs are cheaper compared to 2021 because of the Deutschlandticket option.
Dislikes (Indian Food): As a vegetarian, I find food options slightly limited compared with non-vegetarian choices. There are restaurants and affordable local options, but the variety could be better. I mostly prefer cooking myself, while occasionally eating outside. Some restaurants have vegeterian option, but the taste is different then i want.

Tips: 1. You must adapt to strict punctuality, direct communication, a close shop on Sunday, and self-study, which is a must. 2. Deutschlandstipendium for 2 semesters, 300 euro / month. I got it by applying with a good motivation letter along with good grades.
Likes (Value for money): Because for our batch, the fee structure was unbeatable—paying just a 67 euro student union fee per semester and receiving high-quality competitive German education, so I would say I would not have any cheaper fee structure compared to India/the UK.
Dislikes (Indian Food): They have an Indian restaurant here, but the taste is not good. I tried ordering chicken dishes from multiple restaurants; they were in the range of 17-20 euros, but the taste was a bit sweet. So I do not order it anymore; rather, I prefer to cook by myself.

Tips: Before coming to THI, be ready to take total control of your own schedule. Professors expect serious self-study, and preparing for end-of-semester Klausuren takes months of independent prep. You'll also hit a cultural shift right away—German culture values direct communication, strict punctuality, and taking full initiative without anyone holding your hand.
While English works for lectures, learning German is pretty much essential if you want to navigate daily life in Bavaria easily and land a good Werkstudent job at companies like Audi. Overall, I'm really glad I chose THI—just come prepared to be independent from day one.
Likes (Part time work): I gave part-time work 5/5 because Ingolstadt is an industrial hub, so student job opportunities are everywhere. On campus, you can easily land HiWi (student assistant) or research lab roles through THI departments. Off campus, being in Audi's hometown means there’s a massive demand for engineering, IT, and business Werkstudenten. Even if you're still working on your German, there are plenty of mini-jobs in local retail, warehouses, and restaurants around town.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I gave Indian food a 3/5 because Ingolstadt is a smaller Bavarian city, so genuine Indian dining options are pretty limited. You’ll find a handful of Indian and Pakistani spots alongside the usual Turkish döner shops, but the flavors are often toned down and options get repetitive fast. I end up cooking at home most days after grabbing spices from local Asian or Turkish grocery stores in town—it’s way cheaper, tastes authentic, and saves money compared to eating out.

Important things to know about one of the public university in Germany
Tips: That it's an industrial city where Audit is headquartered and you don't really have the vibe of a happening city. You will also see a lot of cultural shifts. I haven't gotten any scholarships, but one can apply if their academics are good. I'm honestly satisfied with my university and my course.
Likes (Indian Food): You have all cuisines of food available, and I prefer home-cooked food. You have Indian restaurants where one dish could cost on average 15-18 euros; one can also find a lot of doner (a kind of roll), which is always student-friendly priced around 10 euros.
Dislikes (Part time work): 1100 euros per month. You would find part-time jobs in Munich, and the part-time jobs are quite manageable because as a student you are allowed to work only 20 hours per week, and the rest of the time can be spent on academics. One can expect minimum wages to be paid in odd part-time jobs.

Overall university campus and Ingolstadt city for students is very safe and relaxing clean and good
Tips: The course is great, with new thinking and new learning, more practical communication, presentation, and projects great for exposure and exploring the new studies. It's not very technical or complex or mathematical; subjects are easy to score. You need more of an extrovert personality, innovation, design thinking, mindset, communication, and leadership. These kinds of skills will be developed.
Likes (Safety): Very safe. Ingolstadt as a city is a very good place to live: relaxing, clean, and safe, with low to no crime rates and fewer illegal migrants. Mostly students, families, and working professional people are there, so it's a very good, safe environment. Ingolstadt, I would say, is a great city for students.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Fewer companies also. There is no direct placement like in India, so you have to find your own job, and I don't know about the future or past. Right now the job market is at its worst, especially if you don't have enough experience—I mean, at least 3-5 years for freshers—and especially without German skills (fluent); it's almost impossible to find a full-time job. That's a harsh reality.

Fun Learning Journey towards new technology
Tips: Be prepared for independent study, better time management, and cultural adjustment. Self-study is very important here. Research scholarship early and plan your finance carefully. Overall, my experience is positive and rewarding. Keep in mind, changing according to situation is the best defense in foreign.
Likes (Internships): I have got my internship in just two weeks, and then it will get easier for the next working student jobs. But the marketeer tighter later. Like the last working student, I have spent 3 months roughly. And the job conversion to full time is really less.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Almost no restaurant available from my country. And there are some in Munich, which takes at least one and a half hours to reach. By the way, there are some Indian shops where the taste is close but not exact. By the way, I also like to explore food from other countries.

Tips: Start learning German immediately—it's pretty much non-negotiable if you want to land a proper job here. Tips: The biggest academic shock at THI is how German exams work. Coming from systems where long, descriptive paragraphs get you marks, here it’s all about precise, one-liner facts and direct bullet points. Once you adapt to that style, it makes so much more sense.
On the personal side, I didn't get any scholarships, so I self-funded my studies, which is pretty common for international students here. The university staff and international office are super helpful whenever you hit a bump with admin work. Plus, Ingolstadt's location is a huge bonus—it's incredibly well-connected by train to Munich and Nuremberg, making travel and day trips effortless.

Likes (Safety): The city of Ingolstadt is safe for students to live in. I am not aware of the exact facilities that ensure students' safety. But when compared to Indian cities, I can say that Ingolstadt is very safe to stay in. It is especially safe for female students even at night.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I rated post-study jobs low because even though the tech roles exist on paper—like data engineer, ML engineer, and data scientist with solid starting salaries around €60k gross—actually landing one right now is brutal. Ingolstadt has big companies and visa sponsors around, but with the current market slowdown, full-time openings for new grads are extremely scarce. Most companies simply aren't hiring fresh international grads directly into full-time roles like they used to.

Likes (Part time work): I gave part-time work a full 5/5 stars because landing a student job in Ingolstadt is surprisingly smooth, especially compared to bigger, oversaturated German cities. The biggest advantage here at THI is our proximity to major industrial players like Audi and its massive ecosystem of automotive suppliers, tech firms, and engineering consultancies. They are constantly looking for Werkstudenten (working student roles) in engineering, IT, business analytics, and supply chain.
Beyond corporate roles, there are always research assistant jobs (HiWi positions) on campus, plus standard retail and service jobs around town if your German is still at a basic level. The 20-hour-per-week cap during term time makes it easy to balance work with lectures without burning out, and the pay—usually anywhere from €13 to €18+ an hour depending on the role—easily covers your monthly rent and living expenses while building solid industry experience.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I rated 3 because, although there are good opportunities after graduation, finding the right job can still take time. The availability of jobs depends on the field, experience, and German language proficiency. Overall opportunities are positive, but there are still challenges.

Highly competitive - great Location - Mildly outdated in some domains (automotive)
Tips: If you're an Indian student looking at THI, you need a serious reality check before packing your bags. First off, forget the idea that you can get by purely on an English-taught course. You absolutely must learn German up to a B2 level if you want any hope of surviving the job market here. Don't look around expecting massive scholarships either; since education in Germany is basically free, full scholarships are incredibly rare. Your only real shots are through the DAAD or checking with the local Student Service Centre on campus.
One major thing to look out for in your course details is making sure an internship or master's thesis is 100% mandatory to graduate. If it's just optional, look elsewhere. Getting actual, functional work experience in Germany before you start hunting for full-time corporate roles is your only real lifeline.
The cultural shift hits hard. A lot of Desi students end up feeling incredibly lonely, homesick, and totally overwhelmed by how direct and blunt German communication is. It takes some serious getting used to, and most people end up clinging to student-organized cricket matches, weekend beers, or local festival meetups just to stay sane.
The academic system is a completely different beast compared to back home too. The teaching style can feel pretty underwhelming or even bad if you're used to the structured spoon-feeding of the Indian education system. Professors expect you to have your fundamentals completely down from day one. None of the old rote-learning habits work here; it’s highly independent, deeply competitive, and focused entirely on practical application.
Finally, the housing crisis in Ingolstadt is an absolute nightmare. Do not just show up hoping to find a room. You need to network like crazy and have a solid temporary place sorted out with friends or seniors for at least your first two to three months while you hunt for something permanent.
Likes (Safety): Honestly, you're perfectly safe here unless you go looking for trouble or mix with the wrong crowd. There aren't really any specific security campus facilities but that's just because the area is naturally quiet. Even heading past the railway station at night or walking through empty parts of town is generally fine, though it's obviously smarter to avoid those ghost areas when the buses and trains stop running. Cycling and walking around at 3 AM is totally normal, and you don't really hear about petty crime or pickpocketing at all. Nobody here walks around paranoid because it’s just a naturally safe place, unless you do something stupid to cause a problem yourself.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I rated post-study jobs on the lower side due to a mix of the current stagnant economy and a real lack of career guidance from the university itself. While major companies are definitely present in the region and networking options are always out there if you hustle, the uni leaves you to figure out the job hunt entirely on your own. On top of that, depending on your exact course some of the modules feel incredibly generic—even when you're supposed to be studying a highly specialized, niche field. It feels like the academic tools they hand you are occasionally outdated compared to what the corporate world actually demands right now.
The other massive factor is the degree structure itself. Because THI is a Hochschule (a university of applied sciences), many master’s tracks here only give you 90 ECTS credits. If your goal is to break into deep research roles or secure a PhD, you almost always need a 120 ECTS degree. If academia or heavy research is your primary interest, you are honestly much better off looking at a traditional Technische Universität (TU), since they focus purely on research-oriented modules and offer those full 120 ECTS credits. That being said, if you just want to break straight into the corporate tech sector or automotive industry around Bavaria, a degree from THI can still get you through the door—you just have to be prepared to do all the heavy lifting yourself.

Best college best course but wrong time to look for jobs
Tips: The course at this college is pretty challenging, so be prepared to work hard. It will be fun to learn and enjoy the student life at the same time. The automotive technology is struggling; therefore, it needs to be prepared with what comes next. All the best!
Likes (Public transportation): The bus coverage is excellent. You can also travel by tram, but it is limited. There are two to three train stations within the city, so maybe I can use the train for quick travel sometimes. The reduced cost for students makes it a pretty good deal. Plus, it's a Deutschland ticket, so one can travel all around Germany using regional trains.
Dislikes (Part time work): In Germany there are no on-campus jobs; the only on-campus jobs are working as a student assistant at the university. Part-time work is manageable as long as the work is related to your academics. The current work situation in automotive engineering is pretty bad.

Great for learning but slow for success and growth
Tips: Honestly, studying at THI is a massive wake-up call that forces you to grow up overnight. You end up picking up serious patience and discipline just trying to survive the sheer amount of German bureaucracy—the endless paperwork out here is genuinely mind-numbing and will test your sanity, but it does build some major life skills. The campus vibe in Ingolstadt itself is actually great though, and it’s super easy to naturally mix with people from all over the world. But seriously, you need to be ready for a massive culture shock when it comes to how slow and drawn-out official processes are. If you’re the impatient type who needs instant results or loves a fast-paced environment, the slower, highly methodical way things move out here is going to drive you absolutely nuts at first.

Weather in Deutschland and scholarship
Tips: After coming here to Germany, summer will be a blessing, winter is manageable, and April-May is basically four seasons in a day—unpredictable. Mostly fewer people will get scholarships through the DAAD website. The allowance will depend on which scholarship you got.
Likes (Value for money): Compared to other states like Baden-Württemberg, THI has lower fees and provides strong academic knowledge as well. There'll be a social contribution of 72 euros apart from your curriculum fee. For our batch 2025-2026, the semester fee is 500. Probably for the upcoming semester, it will increase.
Dislikes (Part time work): Too many students for few vacancies. Getting a thesis or work-study is a bit difficult on campus. The opening will be posted on the university website or as posters outside labs. Off-campus, unless you have a B1 level in Germany, it is kind difficult to get in. Pay will be mostly 1500€ for part-time and around 2200€ for internship before tax.

A rewarding experience that demands high independance and German Language skills
Tips: Transitioning was quite an experience. You have to be really independent to be able to get things done, be it studies, travel, or anything. Language is a must. Though many people in larger cities speak English, that will not be the case everywhere. In order to get any kind of part-time or student position jobs, they really need you to know German. I have not availed scholarships, but getting a part-time or working student position will be really helpful for you to learn language and to extend your visa as well. I am pretty satisfied with my course content and structure. But sadly the curriculum and the structure have changed for the intake that started after us. Getting into the course itself has become really competitive now.
Likes (Public transportation): Frequent bus connectivity throughout the city is available. There are 2 train stations close to the city for easier travel to other cities. There are only taxis, rental e-scooters, public buses and trains; sadly we do not have trams here. As a student, having a Deutschland ticket is really affordable compared to the individual ticket rates for buses and trains.

Highly structured course that prepares you for the future, but you must drive your own success.
Tips: German universities are big on independent learning, so you really have to manage your own schedule, prep for lectures ahead of time, and handle your assignments with barely any hand-holding. On top of that, learning German up to a B2 level either before or while you're here is a massive help for landing good student gigs. Moving here was pretty smooth overall, though finding a place to live and dealing with the city registration (Anmeldung) can definitely feel overwhelming at first.
I didn't get a scholarship myself since my course doesn't have tuition fees anyway. Like most international students here, I just cover my living costs by working part-time student jobs. That said, there are options like DAAD or the Deutschlandstipendium out there that can help save some cash.
Honestly, I'm really happy with how things are going. The coursework is super well-structured and focuses exactly on the kind of modern tech rolling into the auto sector right now. Even though Germany is famous for being an automotive powerhouse all the recent news about the industry going through a massive shakeup can be a bit intimidating. But at the end of the day, if you have a lot of personal initiative, stay proactive, and adapt to these new technologies, it’s not that hard to bridge the gap and land some great career opportunities.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): If I decide to stay here permanently, my chances are honestly pretty high. Graduating with an automotive engineering degree from a German uni puts me right in the middle of one of the biggest sectors in the country's economy. As long as I stay proactive, land an engineering gig within my 18-month job-seeker visa window, and actually put in the effort to master the language, the visa rules make getting permanent residency super achievable.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I gave it a 3-star rating because even though the job openings are definitely out there, the market right now is super tough and competitive. The German auto industry is going through a massive shakeup at the moment, shifting away from old-school manufacturing and focusing heavily on electric cars and software. Because of that, companies have really slowed down their hiring and are being incredibly picky about who they take. Plus, while the university gives you a really solid technical foundation, actually landing a job is completely on you—it all comes down to your own networking, past experience, and German language skills.

Bittersweet way of Life.
Tips: New non-EU students have a heavy tuition fee of €1572 per semester. And for a small city like Ingolstadt, the cost of living is definitely high compared to eastern German cities. But then again, you’re in Bavaria, which is easily one of the most stunning parts of the country anyway.
Likes (Student Life): So many options to connect with students and enjoy. They organize programs every week. Lots and lots of diverse activities. Student groups and the Erasmus group are very strong here. Due to the Deutschland ticket, it is very easy to visit a lot of places in Bavaria on one-day trips, which feels straight out of Fairy Tale.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Not enough authentic restaurants. To be precise, none. But some frozen items at stores could be okay. (North Indian). Literally zero South Indian options. The restaurants we have (a pretty decent number for a small town) are around 5-6. But all of them are as bad as it gets.

A place where studies & exams are not stressful.
Tips: Indian students need to change their mentality of memorising and passing exams. In Germany professors expect you to learn everything rather than just memorize. Exams are very different in India and mainly focused on problem-solving. Aids are also provided in exams so that students won't have to remember lengthy formulas.
Likes (Value for money): There are no tuition fees at THI, but a service fee is charged, which is not much as compared to other countries or private universities in Germany. The mentioned service fees might have changed in 2025, so please check once. The facilities provided by the university totally justify the service fees.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Visa sponsorships are very rare, as the cost of a visa is not much, and one can easily handle it on their own. Permanent full-time job roles are very limited and not easily achievable. Salary packages for freshers are around 50-60k per year. Most freshers get the job roles in junior engineer positions. These jobs are often contract-based and are highly volatile in today's market. Getting a job on company payroll is extremely difficult for core engineering roles. Engineering & Management roles are easily available. The most important tip is to learn German till at least B1.
