Supportive faculty and great student life.
Tips: The transition is smooth, and support is available for both academic and personal needs. I've experienced positive cultural shifts and a welcoming environment for international students. The campus is diverse and welcoming, and while I didn't take a scholarship, the university does offer them.
Likes (Post study jobs): Student life is lively and inclusive. I enjoyed spending time in both classes and labs. The campus hosts many events for students, such as career fairs and social gatherings throughout the year, which I regularly attend. There are plenty of societies and communities.
Dislikes (Student Life): The faculty are very approachable and always willing to help students. The block teaching style is unique and makes learning more efficient and manageable. I also appreciate diversity among staff and students. Lectures from different national and academic backgrounds.

Good facilities and diverse learning opportunities.
Tips: Students should know DMU offers strong support, a diverse culture and good facilities. Transitioning involved adapting to a new education style and independent living, which is different from India. I didn't get a scholarship. Overall, I'm satisfied with the university, the course and the UK life.
Likes (Indian Food): Leicester offers diverse food from my home country, including Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi cuisines. Local restaurants range from budget takeaways to mid-range dine-ins. I enjoy both eating out and cooking, depending on time and mood.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The process can be competitive and requires meeting strict criteria, like skilled work experience or family sponsorship. My chances depend on my qualifications and work status. I'd consider setting if the opportunities align.

De Montfort University has highly experienced faculty and a diverse campus.
Tips: Before you join this college, you must be aware of a few key factors such as the academic structure, the grading system, the amount of work required, and what your professors are going to expect from you. Transitioning to a new country and university can both be exciting and challenging. When you make good friends you have a memorable time and it becomes easy to cope with academics. The work culture is also good and you earn enough to survive in the country. Just the student needs to be strong enough to handle the pressure, and I have been able to do that. The faculty is always eager to help you and very kind. They are very soft-spoken and always listen to your problems and come up with a solution. Professors also are very kind and go in-depth about the topic to get you to understand. They are very polite. Overall, I am highly satisfied with the course, university and country.

Very good faculties, supportive staffs and a good library.
Tips: Make sure you have a clear idea of the course you're going to do, book your accommodation beforehand and view your accommodation in person before you book it. There are placement years available look into those courses too and they do have a team to help you with your interview and finding part-time jobs. The faculty are helpful so you can reach out to them without any hesitation. Do participate in activities and clubs as it will help you to connect with people. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the course and country.

The university is quite good as well as the faculty.
Tips: The students should be ready for culture shock. There is a lot of cultural shift but one can do that at one's own pace. Scholarships are available up to 32500 and I am satisfied with my university. One last thing, everything boils down to you and how you do it so come prepared.

Education & Experience at DMU is worth it.
Tips: Clarity on course and career is absolutely important . DMU has vide options of subjects to offer from different fields. Students must research and understand post-study work opportunities before making decisions. DMU in general offers a very welcoming and inclusive environment to its students, making the entire transition process easier. Student communities and faculty at campus are extremely helpful and supportive. One can find a lot of Indians in general on campus and in the city. The overall experience at DMU was satisfactory and worthwhile.
Likes (Public transportation): Campus is situated at the heart of the city, well connected with various facilities in the city. Healthcare facilities can be found on campus, public transportation is easily accessible and affordable. Entertainment and shopping centres are within walking distance. Bus and train stations are easily accessible through public transportation.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): UK in general has various graduate job opportunities. Immigration and settlement opportunities depend on prevalent policies. Currently, there is 2 2-year Post-study work visa, which is favourable for students. Post masters work opportunities are relatively easier than post-bachelor.

From School to University- an experience.
Tips: Coming to DMU Dubai opened my perspective much more than school. Shifting to a UK curriculum from CBSE gave me more freedom to use my time better. Moreover, the academics were now more practically based than CBSE's typical theory. Communication with international students gives you exposure to the real world and helped me learn how to deal with people on a daily basis. I availed 30% academic scholarship for getting 90+ in boards. Moreover, they offer several school, early bird and sibling discounts as well. I'm satisfied and working to make my university as lively as possible for myself and my university fellows. As part of the student council, I work to conduct more interactive events for all students. Celebrate festivals for all cultures, hold clubs to invite other universities, we do it all. I'm satisfied with what my course is offering and the facilities given by the professors and management. From short classes to internships to workshops and seminars my course aids me to learn the best to be prepared for the outside world.
Likes (Safety): Dubai is one of the safest cities in the world. The people are very comfortable in using the campus as well as roaming the city even in late night hours. Even if you may need small help from the people in the city in case of emergency, it is very safe, for example, if you don't have a phone, strangers would be polite to offer you their phones to make calls.
Dislikes (Internships): Our university offers summer internships to support the students as well as throughout the year. However, sometimes the internships would be less compared to the people and given to the people who need the most or those who have the most experience. The internships may also be unpaid sometimes or not available if your course is a complex one.

The university is amazing because they will give you a lot of exposure about everything.
Tips: Students should know that then they should opt for genuine websites for accommodation and should not go for something from Facebook. As there are a lot of scams going around generally. There are a lot of scams going on here that they should be aware of and the police system is not doing a lot about this issue.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is just awesome and extremely supportive. They are very experienced and can give you a lot of insight. They are like mentors and not nagging teachers who're going to be at your throat. Some might be like that but so far I have not encountered someone like that in the faculty.
Dislikes (Part time work): All the students are struggling to find any part time jobs. The economy is struggling. I found a job as a student ambassador but that only gives me two hours a week and if you plan on depending on a part time job then I would suggest please don't come here.

A wonderful place to study!
Tips: De Montfort University is a wonderful place to study at. It is a very welcoming place and the lecturers/staff are very friendly and kind. The buildings are quite easy to get to but even if you can't find your way, there's always help available. There are so many societies/clubs to join, you are literally spoiled for choices. All societies are amazing and there is one for everyone to join (Although it's not a must). The campus is also quite accessible and accommodating, there are prayer rooms available and it is also made approachable for wheelchair users. The lecturers and personal supervisors are always on standby for students when they are in need of help, they're there for guidance and support, you can approach them for any matter and they will try their best to help you. Also, De Montfort university is right next to the city centre, so there is a wide range of opportunities and food options, including Indian, Chinese, Italian and so much more. It is the right place full of culture and you'll fit right in.

MSc in Forensic Investigation - Batch of 2025
Offered by University of Portsmouth

The curriculum is well-structured and aligned with industry standards.
Tips: The University of Portsmouth provides strong academic support, modern facilities, and a practical approach to forensic investigation. Internships and job opportunities exist but require proactive searching. The cost of living in Portsmouth is relatively affordable compared to London, but budgeting is important. Part-time jobs are available but competitive, especially in retail and hospitality. Weather can be gloomy so be prepared for frequent rain and could wind. The transition was smooth for me, but I can't say the same for everyone. Managing studies, cooking, and social life was a bit overwhelming at first, but I adapted quickly. The British accent and communication style took some getting used to. People here value punctuality, politeness, and personal space, which is different from home. Independence is key to handling everything alone, from bills to daily tasks, which was a big adjustment. I received the Dean's Scholarship, but it wasn't a significant amount. The university also offers other scholarships, like the Chancellor Global Academic Merit Scholarship, which provides up to 35,000 for eligible students. Overall, I am very much satisfied with the course, university and the country.
Likes (Value for money): The M.Sc. Forensic Investigation programme provides high-quality education, experienced faculty, and access to specialized forensic labs, case studies, and real-world applications. The curriculum is well-structured and aligned with industry standards, making it worth the investment. The university offers good career support, networking events, and mentorship programs like the Hampshire Constabulary programme, which add value beyond just academics. These opportunities can help students gain practical experience and improve employability. The university provides modern infrastructure, research facilities, access to forensic databases, and support services that enhance the learning experience. The overall student experience, including academic guidance and extracurricular activities, makes the tuition fee feel reasonable.
Dislikes (Internships): The university provides some level of support, but it might not be as hands-on as expected. There may be career services, job portals, and occasional workshops on CV writing or interview prep. However, students are often expected to be proactive in searching and applying for internships themselves. There might be some internships related to forensic investigation, but they are not always easy to secure. The opportunities may be more general like retail or admin roles rather than directly linked to crime scene investigation or forensic analysis. Some students might need to apply externally rather than relying solely on university-provided listings.

A great place with academic excellence and top notch education.
Tips: The University of Portsmouth is one of the top universities of the country so it takes a great academic record to get in here. First, you should have a great score in your previous qualification. Before coming here prepare yourself and write an extraordinary application. Also, look for scholarships because having a scholarship will reduce your burden. And in last get counselling from experts and former students, they will help you in getting most of the insights.
Likes (Safety): The University of Portsmouth is located in Portsmouth, the UK's only island city. The University offers a vibrant campus with great facilities for students. The campus is full of various cultural clubs which helps in finding own kind of feel in a different country. The cultural clubs organize various events. The various communities help the students with their daily problems. There are around 140 various clubs and communities. If you are coming here then it's a great choice no doubt. You will enjoy the campus.
Dislikes (Part time work): The University of Portsmouth is well known for its teaching quality and academic excellence. The faculty here is amongst the top in the country. So, no doubt the faculty is top-notch. The diversity among the teachers makes students from different countries comfortable here. The methodology is great in terms of everything. Our department has many international teachers who are well-recognised in their respective fields. Overall, it's a great place for finding top faculty in the country.

Top University for research power.
Tips: There are many things that students should keep in their mind before coming to the University of Portsmouth. They should know the entry requirements. The acceptance rate for international students is 70%. Prepare for interviews because they take interviews for some courses sometimes. They gave scholarships based on your last course percentage. I am satisfied with the university and course.
Likes (Student Life): The University of Portsmouth is pretty good for students. They provide every necessity that a student should have and the career opportunities are great. There are many events for the students. We Indians celebrate every kind of festival there. There are cultural clubs also which organize various events. There are great facilities for interactive learning and sports. In a nutshell, it is a great hub for enjoying student life.
Dislikes (Value for money): The faculty of University of Portsmouth is passionate and very helpful. They are dedicated towards the progress of students. They are always available for help. They have a unique way of teaching and the most important thing is that they teach and deliver their lectures in a well-organized way. Many teachers from different countries are there and it makes me feel good to see them teaching in their own ways.

Internships and placement opportunities are available.
Tips: No need to worry or panic before coming it is a very good place to study. Friendly, supportive and cooperative with international students because that is how this university is very diverse. No security problem and I, as a girl always feel safe even outside the campus. Library is where I spend most of my time and I feel peace there and Portsmouth is peaceful too on whole.
Likes (Internships): Work placements happen as I said before and they usually happen for 36 weeks I have read that around 17000 pounds are the average package for that regarding internships. So most of the students find themselves on the portals like jobisjob and graduatejobs bright network is another good portal for internships only.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): University organises recruitment fair and career events but these are mostly need-based, most of the time startups come to take part in the university. Also there are many jobs posted on the job board but still, like it happens in the top colleges of India it does not happen here, mega recruitment is something I have not seen as of now but I am still studying so I don't know much about it.

A university to get admitted to
Tips: The buildings of the university are scattered and not in a place so many students sometimes find it a bit difficult to move from one lecture to the other. But with me it is not the case, our school of business is unique I must say! Gym facilities are great but there can be some improvements done to student career support in terms of searching the jobs or making the most out of placement year. Student community is good no doubt and there are many research opportunities too so if you are coming from India think like you will get many opportunities.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Faculty has to be the best part of this university. So helpful and supportive even if they see an underperforming student for them everyone is equal and they also understand the shift in the education system and try to make the transition very smooth. There is a good chance to make a good bond with any professor on campus.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Before coming learn something to make simple things like tea/coffee, maybe some veggies or basic curries so very little money will be spent. Saving is the key to living a student life. Indian food is available but the restaurants are expensive nothing like the street style. I spend somewhere between 175 GBP- 200 GBP on food each month which I think is fair.

I like this university it has everything.
Tips: Many Indian and African students study in Portsmouth and it feels like home so many places to visit. There are many good architecture spots as well and many bridges and parks to enjoy. People are very nice and they greet me also. I think I got a 3000-pound scholarship and it is given to international students on grades. My course is very industry made and the tutors are also from many countries not only from the UK so they teach many things and also give examples from the countries by which they come.
Likes (Public transportation): Buses, trains, tube, bicycles, taxi every mode is there no problem to travel and public transport is not expensive. Good for students like me. University also has buses which are free of cost which goes round across Portsmouth so that is also very helpful for students.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): No complain I have on the permanent settlement. Some members from my family have already come to UK so I don't think there is any problem but a good job is necessary and internships should also be good. It is top-notch country to live in everything is first-class education, healthcare and security. Work visa for 5 years and then ILR application can be done to stay permanent so everything starts with one step.

This college is fun and good to make friends
Tips: There is an international allowance available which is about 3000-4000 Pounds. Acceptance to this university is not very tough just submit documents on time and the process should be smooth. The area is good everything is available nearby, all grocery stores are near to college also no problem with accommodation. Many Indians studying can take a shared room too which will not cost much. Cook the food yourself it will be cheap and better. Bring some spices with you as they are very cheap. Dhaniya is very costly and no chilli is free. The college campus and area have very beautiful restaurants and cafes nearby. A good university to study and make friends.

The curriculum is smartly put together.
Tips: When I thought of studying abroad, I always wanted to study somewhere beautiful and so I love being in Portsmouth. The people, the area everything is so good. The courses in this university are good which makes it a good choice. If you are from a business course you'll not have to think more about the course selection the B-school got it covered. No unnecessary modules are present. Simple, to the point and very forthcoming in the end.
Likes (Safety): The university provides free bus service which we take by just showing our student ID. Facility support is very good. No issues of security and the crime rate is also low. The college also provides housing support and this facility is also good. There are also campus emergency numbers and helplines.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is good and comes from many countries. Many guest lecturers also come and that is the best part of this course. I have not seen such jolly faculty in India anywhere. Sometimes it is not like what students say that everything is easy while talking about teaching. There are many assignments and CSE studies to do. Professors help with that but sometimes it is difficult to change from one teaching methodology to another.

It's good. The teachers are nice and really helpful. There are always events going on to enjoy.
Tips: There are fewer part time jobs available in this city while studying. I didn't have any cultural shifts because I found a lot of students here back from my home country. I am quite satisfied with the course because the teachers are quite nice and helpful.
Likes (Quality of faculty): There are less physical exams and more assignments to work on. The teachers are helpful and nice to students. The teachers are also happy to reply to the students by mail if they have any doubts about their coursework or assignments. I really enjoy their teaching style.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): If someone managers to get a sponsored job in this country then it's quite easy for them to settle. I would probably settle if I manage to get a full-time sponsored job but for me who has no previous work experience it is hard to get into a job here.

University of Portsmouth's coursework is satisfying.
Tips: To be very honest there was no cultural shifts that I experienced. Because everything is good here all the people are familiar here and want to connect with us so I like the people and their mentality because I want to adopt our culture. Before coming here every student should know about the scholarship details because there are lots of scholarship options for international students as I also avail 31400 scholarship. There are some early bird scholarships like first come first serve.
Likes (Indian Food): As in portsmouth there are lots of restaurants and cuisins some of them are Indian cuisines also in which we get all types of Indian food. Being an international student if we can find such food it is a great option. If we talk about the pricing they are not too costly and all items are within budget. I prefer cooking myself because it is a good option in comparison to eating outside.
Dislikes (Safety): As according to my experience here the university provides full privacy and security. There is a student union here to solve every problem and guide us for every step. There are anti- harassement, anti-ragging, and some student university squads to provide complete security and guidance for every student.

Beautiful scenery and good quality life in Portsmouth.
Tips: No need to worry before coming to Portsmouth. Many Indians live around Southampton or nearby areas. Many events take place around the city where we get to meet and greet people from many nationalities. A lot to do here without getting bored with anything. I live close to the town centre so no worries about shopping too. Accommodation outside is also very good. Neat and tidy rooms, nicely ventilated. The library is very spacious and has many computers to access the material. Student union and sports are excellent. It is always good to take a walk around Gunwharf Quays. It is indeed a beautiful city.
Dislikes (Internships): One good thing is that all the internships are paid which we don't see mostly in South Asia. The college helps a bit but students need to search for internships on their own mostly. For my course, it is a bit tricky to secure one because of competition in the Law field. Internships are relevant but always a tough nut to crack.

Portsmouth is a beautiful City. College is good as well.
Tips: Both faculty and students are from many countries around the world. The campus is close to many tourist spots so it is not boring. Good to enjoy with friends. The only thing that we Indians struggle with in Portsmouth is the weather. It is usually very chilly and around January, February it gets very cold but accommodations do have the necessary arrangements so one does get used to it. There are some issues related to mobile and connectivity but it is not that much it is bearable. Always look out for better SIM providers when coming to this city.
Likes (Post study jobs): More jobs than Canada are available and a sponsor visa is just what is needed. Some of my friends are working across the UK having around 25k pound package just after graduation but for that good project, reports need to be shown. The only one thing to remember is to look out for jobs early because it takes time to look for a perfect role because of competition.

Tips: Culture is good in and out of classroom. I got good professors who listen and help with assignments. More focus is given to case studies and assignments which sometimes are tricky but they have more grade points. Group assignments/team assignments make the culture good. The scholarship is not much only some bursaries are present for international Masters students but still, the college is worth it.
Likes (Safety): No problem related to safety. Students are working as part-time and even out of campus there is no issue. Just no need to indulge in wrong practices which cause problems. No one passes a judgment in Hampshire until you do your work. Meet people and be nice and you won't face any problems in future.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Many Turkish and middle eastern restaurants are present. Hallal options are also available for Muslims but as a student it gets very costly as compared to India. A simple Kebab costs around 4-5 pounds which is just 60-100 rupees in India or at max 200.

Good opportunities after graduation.
Tips: Everything is fine here. There is no cultural shift that I experienced because all the guys here are very friendly and supportive.
I avail a £1600 scholarship. This is provided by the university to mostly international students.
I am fully satisfied with University of Portsmouth, as the faculty, class time table, and job opportunities are good after graduating from here.
Dislikes (Student Life): We have three days of classes per week from morning to evening mostly. These are a mixture of lectures and seminars, the faculty is good so we enjoy every moment. There are many types of events organised by the university. For ex. weekly events, cultural events, graduation party etc. These events are very informative, helpful and fun-loving.
There is a student union in my university and an astoria club for graduation parties.

Scholarships are available on merit basis.
Tips: There was no cultural shift that I had experienced when I came here for the first time. I got a 32000 scholarship on the basis of my 12th standard marks as I scored 85% in my 12th. I am fully satisfied with my university, my course and the country as well. Because the university holds a good ranking which provides better employment opportunities.

Most of the international students can get scholarships.
Tips: I have not experienced any cultural shift as it is a very small city as compared to other cities in the UK where students usually go to study but everything is near like supermarkets etc. The campus is also not so big, the buildings are close and the staff and lecturers are also very helpful. I got a 1600 GBP scholarship which is provided to international students by the university and if you want to come here you will also get it. Placements are also good I have seen the seniors getting placed in good companies in the UK and it has a good QS world ranking. I am satisfied by getting admission here.

Best for IBS and business related courses.
Tips: There was not any cultural shift for me. Other students and staff from facilities helped me get settled very fast. I thought it would be difficult and there would be so much to adjust but it is not at all like that. People are also very friendly and supportive. I got 1600 GBP scholarship and my other Indian friends got this as well. IBM nowadays is a very popular course and many students are taking it up. If you want to study forex and import/export business this is for you. I am fully satisfied, the university has a good reputation and there are good options to get settled here after graduation.
