The faculty is extremely helpful and understanding.
Tips: I didn't face a cultural shift as such as I had done my research beforehand. People are extremely polite here so ensure that you don't disturb them in any way. Scholarships are available that the university provides based on merit. I am truly satisfied with my university, course and country so far.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is extremely helpful and understanding they will help you with any and everything. The teaching style of faculty at its core is more preference given to self study and more on academic and real world examples in class and a lot of self reading. The teaching faculty is diverse and brings varying responses and thoughts to the table.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Things are always changing here, especially with immigration, so that's why I gave it a 3. It's tough to get a permanent residency because it mostly depends on sponsorship. But I'd really love to stay here for good if I could, because I've enjoyed my time here a lot.

Tips: Students must know the fact that DCU offers a highly supportive academic environment where all the students should be prepared for a research oriented and fast paced learning.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The lecturers in my department are highly knowledgeable, well skilled and experienced. They ensure a supportive learning environment which combines a positive and inclusive classroom. The most important factor I have noticed about their teaching style is the use of practical real world case studies for discussion rather than just delivering information to the students. Since we have got lecturers from different nationalities and backgrounds, students are getting exposed to global perspectives at a higher level which prepares them professionally and academically.
Dislikes (Value for money): I feel the tuition fee to be relatively higher even though the quality of teaching, resources provided qualities are unmatched. I ensure that quality of the content and staff support are top notch. Additional student support activities can be incorporated on a regular basis.

Tips: The university offers a great learning experience with supportive faculty and diverse opportunities. Irish people are known to be warm, welcoming, and friendly. Always say "thank you" often, and avoid using "sir" for everyone; address people by their names instead. You should also remember there is not much difference in which university you join to complete your studies, since you have to do applications by yourself for jobs. Well designed to cater educational needs.
Tips: The accent was a bit challenging initially, but I eventually got used to it. I received a scholarship of 2000 euros, awarded based on my academic performance. I am satisfied with the university; it's fun and offers a good balance between part-time work and studies. The only downside is the weather.
Likes (Public transportation): It's all well-connected and well-designed, with most places offering 24/7 services. Students benefit from cheaper transportation paying just 1 euro for a 90-minute bus ride. While Ireland also has good rail and Luas systems the bus provides reliable 24/7 service.
Dislikes (Safety): Safety is everyone's utmost priority, but recently Indians have faced issues with teenagers, including bullying theft and fights. Garda is not readily available, and some loopholes favour teenagers, which are being exploited. Medical services are also not up to par.

A learning and insightful experience.
Tips: I cannot deny that there were no cultural shifts, of course, it is very different here from what we had back home, but a good experience. Of course, jobs and markets, everything is bad currently, not very pleasing, but living through it. Except that I loved the experience.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty members were really good and approachable, and their classes were helpful. We were given support whenever required. We also had tutorials which gave us additional support along with the regular classes, which made it easier for us to cope with the subjects.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The job opportunities are not many, and the market is actually very bad here now; not much available for us. And since the cost of living is high, it is difficult to manage. For the people who graduated also finding a job is being a task here; it might not be the right time to move here.

DCU is good for studies, Ireland is bad for job market.
Tips: It is not as easy as it looks. The struggle is real. Don't come here if you have a table job in India. It takes time to find a job, even a part-time one. There's a lot of competition in Dublin City University for jobs and internships because it's very popular with Indian graduates of this Master's program. Everywhere you look, you will see Indian students working part-time jobs.
Likes (Safety): There are no issues at all, so don't worry about that. It is safe enough to travel in public transport near the Dublin City University campus. There are also bars open until 12 am, and they are friendly too. There are also so many events that happen on campus, which are open to students, like movie nights.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The job market is awful, with only a few good companies available. You will be competing against a lot of people for the small number of jobs, because DCU does not have the capability to send students to many available jobs. Many of the positions are filled by EU citizens and do not allow other job-seekers from other nations. Also, the visa problem is bad. There is a skills problem as well. My Indian experience and skills are not being recognised here, which makes me sad. They don't matter. To add to this problem, there are no placement options at DCU. Internships are also very hard to find. The reference scheme isn’t working either.

Tips: I really think that I got upgraded a lot in terms of academics. Moving from Asia to Europe, there are a lot of cultural differences, but in my case, it felt okay to adjust to that, and the people were so hospitable and welcoming. I received a merit-based scholarship that was awarded based on my marks at my university.
Likes (Part time work): Here, the people value work and will get paid fairly for the job, and I am not saying it is easy to get a job, but there are chances, and we should be ready to endure different conditions and should try hard to get a good one that fits us.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The students get comparatively good time to look for a job, and at the same time, the visa process and paperwork are quite understandable. The course selection and job opportunities are important. It varies depending on the companies and the circumstances in that scenario.

For students who are just looking to obtain a degree, Dublin City University is a good choice.
Tips: After coming here, I got to learn many things about assignments, which is the easiest part in India. I didn’t get any scholarships. There's no guidance provided for finding internships, and you have to figure it out yourself. Plus, there were some career fairs, but there were not enough to accommodate all the students in the university. The career counselling team taught me how to write a good resume, though. As all the Indian students are here, the living expenses are much higher than expected.
Likes (Safety): The safety of the campus is really good. The diversity of the faculty helps students learn to respect every country. I never felt unsafe there, and student unions are always there for help. The best part is that there is no discrimination on campus.

DCU is a cool university with great student life.
Tips: The transition for me was easy, and I didn't experience any culture shock. I am also happy to have received a scholarship. I availed for scholarships and I got 2000 euros for the scholarship. I like the guest lecturers. They are all people who are actually in the industry.
Likes (Public transportation): The transportation is pretty good, although buses do sometimes run late. The Irish rail system is great because it gets you to and from the university much faster. Another great thing is that the students can change modes of transport as many times as they want within a 90-minute timeframe for only one euro.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are many restaurants, but it's quite costly, so I prefer cooking for myself. The cost ranges from 10-30 euros, and in a student budget, it isn't that easy to spend on food outside. The restaurants here have a different taste as the dishes are modified according to the Irish people's taste and don't give the exact feel of our home country.

The faculty are approachable and they have great attitude towards students.
Tips: Ireland is very different from India, be it the food, the people, or the weather. So, do your research before coming here. Scholarships are available in plenty, depending on your course. For engineering and computing courses in DCU, they have a merit scholarship which the board decides based on your SOP, academics and is offered in the admission letter.
Likes (Safety): The best thing about DCU is its open and welcoming attitude. You just feel right at home on this campus. The college student union and other clubs offer various services, conduct many different events and make the campus quite lively. It is amazing to say that there are a number of clubs ranging from Science to English anime to swimming.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The faculty members are really approachable and they have a really nice attitude towards students. They are always encouraging students to ask questions, and any questions asked are always answered, ensuring that the students understand it well. I liked the idea of 3-hour sessions weekly, ensuring they get the fundamentals but don’t feel overwhelmed with too much information. The faculty is pretty diverse.

Dislikes (Part time work): It's a little difficult to search for part-time work on campus. The population is overpopulated here, so opportunities are less, and we can easily manage the part-time work along with the classes; it will never interfere. The average payout is 13.5 for a student.

Tips: I've observed a different cultural shift, and I've had access to a scholarship of around 2000 euros through a university program. I'm satisfied with my course and university. This is because they support me through things like sports and other extracurricular activities.
Likes (Public transportation): The campus is well-connected and has lots of options available where people can reach. Buses are most likely the cheapest transport, with only 1 euro for students. And other bicycles and e -e-bikes, which could be a better choice. D-ART and Lusa are options which a little far.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): MNC companies are offering sponsor visas for work, while smaller companies are higher for contract-based jobs. These jobs are mainly in operations, with salary packages ranging from 40,000 to 60,000 Euros. However, if you have the skills and experience, those packages can be higher, and they're the most important parts of getting a good job here.

Tips: I was not happy with the hot Indian weather in Mumbai, and the first thing I really enjoyed about Ireland was the weather. I was given a scholarship of 6400 euros for my course, and it was sent with the offer letter.
Likes (Student Life): Student life is excellent in DCU. There's a lovely atmosphere, lovely people, lots of parks nearby, lots of student societies to be part of, activities like swimming, biking, rock climbing, archery clubs, and so much more. And I've been here for over six months, and I haven't experienced any racism yet.
Dislikes (Internships): Internships are available, but due to a lot of demand, only a limited people can get the opportunity to work as an intern. I believe in the field of commerce and sales, getting an internship won't be as difficult as getting one here in electronics and computer technology.

I have definitely noticed a cultural shift, but there are also many international students in the country, which is great. There are 100 clubs here, with very little payment required to participate, and student life is very good, and the clubs are good. Many students are involved and there are clubs that have an equal emphasis on both domestic and international students. This is a great opportunity for the students here. Overall, I am satisfied and enjoying my time here.
Dislikes (Internships): Dublin City University is really good. The teaching faculty members are good and helpful. I like the library here and the students' access for multiple reasons. Plus, it's great for learning. The teaching methods are great and are very helpful for learning, even for students who have a hard time studying.

Dislikes (Safety): The attacks on Indians, especially students, are increasing day by day. The college is located right in the heart of the city and poses a risk of theft, attacks, casual racism, etc., due to its proximity to the city centre. It gets a little more unsafe after dark. While I didn't receive a scholarship, securing one is highly beneficial. The university, people, and course are all excellent, and the country is great too. However, approach the job market post-graduation with an open mind and a flexible attitude, as it can be very competitive, even for part-time positions.
Likes (Indian Food): The Indian restaurants are priced in the mid to high range. I enjoy cooking myself, which influenced my rating. The raw ingredients for most Indian dishes are readily available; you just need to look for them. There are multiple options for everything, and a decent variety of places to eat, allowing for creativity and exploration of other cuisines as well.
Dislikes (Internships): There were no internships provided or easily available. The college did not help arranging those even the dissertation companies were not interested in the interaction. Basically there's no hand holding or favours. You have to be reseilient, persevere and get what you want.

Tips: There has definitely been a cultural shift. Students address teachers by their names, rather than "Sir" or "Ma'am." Students can leave class eat or drink soda without explanation. Basic civic courtesy, such as holding doors and making eye contact, is also common. Following these norms is crucial to avoid negative perceptions and the potential for increased racism.
Likes (Public transportation): There are tons of things to do. The Trinity Sports app allows participation in around 44 different sports. I enjoyed climbing the 36-foot climbing wall in the college. I also attended badminton social sessions, which occurred every two days. Apart from sports there are various social and cultural events such as "new to Dublin" events, festivals and talks. A global room hosts these events. Participating in these activities will allow you to learn a lot and have fun.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The recent unprovoked attacks on Indians are a growing concern. I haven't personally experienced any racial incidents it's been observed that local teens are essentially immune to the law. They often get away with wrongdoing without facing proper punishment. My main advice would be to stay in groups especially at odd hours.

Tips: I've transitioned to my full potential and I was a completely different person back then. Now I feel more confident interacting with people and working independently. Likes (Value for money): The quality of education is good they provide excellent education. The course is well structured and always informative. Students receive new assignments every week during their coursework. The professors are very polite and humble. It is value for money.
Dislikes (Safety): Safety is good but it is important to be vigilant. The city is safe even at night but we need to take precautions. Do not carry valuables in crowded places and avoid prolonged conversations with strangers. Following the rules is essential for staying safe.

Student life is excellent at TCD.
Tips: In the beginning, you may find it difficult to adjust to the Irish culture and the rules here, but eventually you'll get used to it. There are plenty of opportunities to avail of scholarships from TCD. Overall, the university provides a rich academic experience with a focus on extracurricular activities as well.
Likes (Student Life): Student life is excellent at TCD. I spent most of my time in lecture rooms and the library studying and completing assignments. The university also offers a wide range of options for sports enthusiasts, including a nice park, canteens, and a bar. Events organised by TCD include career fairs, induction programs, and many other events.
Dislikes (Safety): The campus is secure from outside threats, and students feel completely safe inside. It's just that certain areas around the university tend to not be safe at times. The teenagers have no laws associated with them, and they take advantage of it and try to mess with immigrants. So it's better to stay away from them if you spot them.

Do not shy away from participating in cultural and extracurricular activities in and around the college campus. The campus and library are beautiful, so spend time there. It's in the heart of the city, which makes going to class every day something to look forward to.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is excellent. Visiting faculty members are from all over the world with an enormous loads of knowledge and experience. Even Ph.D. students are very helpful. Scheduling a meeting is simple and systematic. Opportunities for Ph.D. S are also offered through faculty referrals.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian restaurants are plenty, but they are pretty expensive. These restaurants have adapted to the European taste and offer a comparatively local experience. Options are plenty, but it's better to try new cuisines. South Indian places are generally better.

Tips: Ireland has a tough market to crack, with numerous challenges, including finding a part-time job, managing studies, and applying for full-time corporate jobs. The place is overall good, people here are very friendly, they are always helpful, and there is no discrimination here are such.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transportation in Dublin is excellent. It is very cheap, the whole city is very well connected, and most routes run almost 24 hours a day. The city has three modes of public transport: LUAS (light rail), trains, and buses.
Dislikes (Internships): Not much of internship opportunities are there as a master's student. You won't be hired as an intern in Ireland. They are generally given to Bachelor's students in the penultimate year of their studies. The market is a little tough to crack at this moment.

Trinity College Dublin is great if you have your backup plan ready.
Tips: Students should know that you must have certification and prior experience ready to go through the fast-paced courses in order to succeed. Ideally, your main reason to come to Ireland would be to find a job as quickly as possible. And if you cannot find full-time work, then you should at least be prepared to work part-time to cover at least the cost of living. Keep in mind that even though the people are nice and the campus itself is welcoming, you should take your whole education very seriously.
Likes (Student Life): Trinity College Dublin is the best college in Ireland, so naturally, it also offers the best campus life in the country. Its campus is located in the city center. The campus itself is very large and very green.
Dislikes (Value for money): I am yet to find a job in finance, so I rate this place low in terms of value for money. It's not my personal experience, either. Many immigrant students from my cohort are in the same boat. Some of my friends haven't been able to find jobs, so they've gone back to India or are on their way there. Jobs are scarce, and the Trinity College Dublin tag doesn't help much.

Think twice or even thrice before joining for your good.
Tips: Students should know that there are barely any scholarships when compared to other colleges and quite a few cultural shifts. Get ready for a lot of public speaking and assignments which is a dead scene in India. College does not care about your post-graduation work. Minimum career guidance, everything is self-made and self-done here.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The market is very bad at the moment, with hardly any opportunities. Would not recommend anyone to come here at least at the moment. Sponsorship is another problem that you'll face but one good thing is that you won't need sponsorship for the first 2 years of graduation. Salaries are comparatively low in the US where a just graduation gets on average 100K Dollars but here it is around 27-32K Euros.

Fun, challenging and great learning experience.
Tips: The job market is in a pretty bad shape as of now so decide carefully if you are willing to go through that much amount of pressure and struggle. In addition, finding a part time is quite challenging as well, and have a clear picture in your mind about whether you want to settle abroad or not before going.
Likes (Safety): The country is relatively safe and peaceful. There's public transport that works all time round. And I have been home pretty late at night and it was all safe. Regardless, there are teenagers who caused trouble for a few people I knew but again it all depends on your locality.
Dislikes (Part time work): It was not easy to find a part time job in Dublin. I didn't find one as of now and I am getting rejections for those as well despite having a good CV. I will still apply though until I find one and I will advise you of the same. Go there only if you want to settle down or spend a few years, if you're confused then maybe think about other opportunities.

Excellent College, but the city is expensive.
Tips: Foreign Education differs massively from our Indian Education System. They are very liberal and open-minded towards their curriculum and have exponentially more global exposure. I wasn’t able to obtain any scholarship to study at Trinity but many students in my cohort got scholarships. I’m extremely satisfied with the University and the course, leading to both PhD and Job Opportunities, though Dublin is one of the costliest places to live in but not in the Schengen region.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty are extremely nice and open in my department. I’ve never felt out of place asking doubts or getting help from both students and professors in my class. The lectures were organised Mon-Wed to help us have a longer weekend and study better.
Dislikes (Internships): We are encouraged to apply for Internships and support is provided by the college in creating contacts with industry partners via TQA. But being a student from India has made getting Visa to work in other countries very difficult. Most of the students choose to do a PhD after this course though.

Tips: A big cultural shift is a lifestyle where we have to do everything at home, including groceries, cleaning, and cooking apart from college and assignments. There are scholarship options provided by different colleges and the government of Ireland in general, have a look at those while applying.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Great faculty at Trinity college dublin, highly qualified and approachable for any issues. Teaching methodology is great but different from how it’s done in India. Teaching here is a lot more research-oriented, need to read a lot of research papers and discuss them in class. Apart from research, there are a lot of individual and group projects on real-life research subjects.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are fairly less opportunities on campus for part time jobs, compared to the number of students/people looking for these jobs. Having said that, it is not impossible to get one, just have to be on the lookout for one when it’s available.

Tips: There is no scholarship for this course. There are no exams which is a good thing. Programming knowledge is mandatory. The faculty are current industry leaders who teach with their working experience and not with theoretical experience because of which you learn by applying what has to be thought.
Likes (Indian Food): You get everything Indian in every area of Dublin, even near the college. There is an Indian Society. The majority of the students are Indians in most of the courses. All the Indian festivals are celebrated. The Indian community here is really strong. Mini India store is near the campus.
Dislikes (Part time work): The average pay is good (12.7/hour). But finding a part time on campus or anywhere near the campus or the city centre is impossible. The process of finding a part-time job is extremely exhausting. If you do find a part-time, managing expenses and studies shouldn't be an issue.

Trinity College Dublin: The post pandemic era for Indians has opportunities given you have skills.
Tips: Keep in mind the cost of living. And personally, for the first time being outside of India there was definitely the culture shock but in a good way. Only suggestion would be to research universities based on the course that you want to take as they hold a very key role in how the course modules are set. With that being said you are going to be involved with cultures from all around the world which is a great opportunity to learn a lot about the outside world. And against popular belief in order to get a job around here is not a cakewalk, it's going to be demanding and make sure you hone the skillset and always portray yourself as the most valuable asset. Until you get into the company it's always going to be what value you are to the company and not the other way around. All serious talk side, a very good country and there's nothing a coffee can't solve. A note, the salary you might be getting right after graduation can be very much below your expectations but most companies do a regular revision of plays and you can climb up the ladder sooner than you think. But also the taxes are a bit on the higher side depending on what your salary is. I'd just recommend planning your expenses accordingly as you touch base.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): I wouldn't immigrate to this city as my main motive was to gain knowledge from what the university had to offer and explore. But comparatively, a permanent residence in Ireland is not that difficult if you are willing to put in the effort required. There are different permits which you will get to know as you get through the visa process. The first step is just getting a Stamp 1 which happens when you land a job and the company is willing to sponsor you. If your role comes under the critical skills list this is going to be the least of your worries. And from there on it's just adding more days to your residence and applying for a Stamp 4 which is equivalent to a permanent residentship and following that will be your Irish passport.
Dislikes (Safety): As it goes without saying it's going to be an entirely new city and it all boils down to being self-aware. Apart from campus security, there are going to be caretakers in case you live in a student accommodation that isn't provided by the university itself. Otherwise, you are always going to have the local cops. The city in itself is beautiful to explore and the neighbouring countries are also not that far off for a weekend trip. There are a lot of hikes around, a lot of local pubs, and a lot of activities surrounding the city. As long as you are aware of your surroundings you are going to be safe and sound. It would be a big plus if you had more people along with you.
