The Dublin City University was founded as an Irish based public research university in Dublin. It was founded in 1975 and has five campuses in total, namely Glasnevin Campus, St. Patrick's Campus, All-Hallows Campus, DCU Alpha, and the DCU Sports Campus. At Dublin City University campus, students can choose from 37 sports clubs, from indoor to outdoor and adventure to watersports. To encourage its student-athletes, the university also provides the DCU Scholarship for sports and COA Points Concession programmes. A few of the athletic facilities include DCU Sports Complex, St. Patrick's Campus Sports Complex, DCU Sports Grounds, Morton Stadium, etc.

The best thing about DCU on campus housing is that students' applications are not reviewed on a first come first servce basis and students can apply at any date until the end of March. The university's accommodation blocks are located across three campuses with good connectivity. Moreoever the DCU accommodation will come along with facilities like WiFi, shared kitchen area, shared living area, bathroom, 24/7 security, cycle storage, cafe, 24/7 laundry facilities, etc.
