Real college life abroad
Tips: Before joining, try for all their scholarship options, which are like 10000-pound scholarships. And they also accept multiple scholarships. It is mainly for business and law. If you are looking for more teaching-related colleges. I would recommend this, but it is still a good standard college. So it depends on your preference.
Likes (Student Life): I took a college accommodation. It was the best thing you could opt for if you could spend a bit high, in case university accommodation is a bit pricey compared to outside accommodation. I had classes 3 days in a week, maybe 4 sometimes. It was easy to commute to classes from my accommodation, as I stayed in the Lafrowda building, which is inside the university. And the people are very friendly, and the environment is peaceful and quiet, as it is on the south side of Devon, England.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The market is very tough to get a job in, and that itself is a sponsored job, but it's not impossible. In my opinion, develop the skills you want to get your dream job with. Start the work alongside your studies. All the companies are looking for skilled candidates, not just a degree holder with a good CGPA.

4 stars for the University of Exeter and Exeter in general
Tips: I’d definitely recommend coming here for a bachelor's instead of a master's. There’s basically zero difference in full-time job opportunities between undergrads and postgrads anyway. Plus, a bachelor's gives you way more time to land a solid on-campus gig, network, and actually prep for your career.
The transition went pretty well for me. I had to learn to cook the basics and manage my own life, which was the biggest shift. There’s no one cleaning up after you here, so you have to do literally everything yourself. Just pure independent living.
Money-wise, I scored the Exeter Excellence Scholarship for £3,000. That brought my total funding to £8,000 since the uni automatically gives a £5,000 scholarship to all Indian students.
Exeter itself is an amazing place to live and the countryside is beautiful. It’s super easy to plan trips to nearby cities too. The uni is incredibly supportive, so there’s way less exam and assignment stress compared to India. They actually give you deadline extensions and mitigations if you’re struggling. Exams are just way less brutal here. I love that the focus is on hands-on, practical stuff rather than memorizing textbook theories. The way the course is set up is just really solid and the module leaders are honestly always around to help whenever you're stuck on something.
Likes (Safety): I'd say Exeter is one of the safest cities in the UK. The university is very safe and secure with safe-zone spots present throughout the campus. Of course you can have some bad experiences from time to time (which I haven't had yet, thankfully), but as long as you know the right places to be, you should be fine. People, including girls, go on late-night walks easily.
Dislikes (Part time work): On-campus part-time jobs are highly competitive, and preference is given to undergraduate students. There are a pretty good number of off-campus opportunities available, but again, they are very competitive, and it can be quite challenging to get the appropriate role. It can be a bit tricky to manage part-time along with your studies and social events. Don't be reluctant to squeeze all 20 hours in a week. You will have lots of assignments and deadlines as well so if you manage to get 12-14 hours of part-time work that's well and good. Avg Pay: 12-12.5 per hour.

Value for money; the university offered an outstanding overall experience.
Tips: Transition was smooth, cultural shift was mild. British people are polite and reserved. I enjoyed the independence and the work-life balance. The biggest change was adapting to the food and weather initially. I secured a Global Excellence Scholarship which was a merit-based scholarship. You have to write an SOP for your course for this. I was very satisfied with my overall experience.
Likes (Value for money): Value for money because the University offered an outstanding overall experience. The faculty was excellent, the campus was very beautiful and the city of Exeter made student life truly amazing. The quality of education, practical exposure and personal growth I received made the entire investment worth it.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I could not find sponsorship in my preferred domain of management consulting. After completing my master's and working on operations for 2 years, I decided to return to India. If I had to try, the chances are low due to the high salary threshold.

It's good, but your hard work makes it even better.
Tips: I mean, you will have the calm surroundings in the beginning, but after you get used to it, you will start loving. I got the usual one, 3,000 GBP, because I was late for my application. The course is very fast paced, you won't learn much, frankly. You have to do all the things like learning by yourself no one will spoon-feed you.
Likes (Student Life): It mainly consists of lectures, and you have to walk a lot, then the assignments, and group work. I like the campus a lot. All sorts of events, from encouraging your culinary skills to the job hunt, are arranged. It depends on your course.
Dislikes (Value for money): I think if you apply early like in Feb or May, you could get a good scholarship, like 10,000 GBP then it is worth, otherwise, you should take any good course in India. Because the end goal is to get a job, and getting a job is a job in itself. So learn from India and apply it there.

Nice experience but not worth the money invested in.
Tips: From university, I applied for the scholarship. Generally, you would get around 5000 -10000 pounds of scholarship from the university. Even though you struggle with money sometimes, university helps you. They give hardship funds for students who are really struggling to cover normal expenses. If you are taking a 40 Lacs loan. It's not worth it at all; you will learn better on YouTube. Learning in the UK is all about self-study.
Likes (Safety): Exeter is one of the safest cities in the UK. If you are staying in the campus apartments or even in private apartments you will have university police. Even if you call them at any time, they will come to help you and try to solve your problem. I have done night shifts as well in part-time, I never felt any danger. Exeter is one of the safest places in the UK.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Lots of people are coming here by taking a loan of around 40 Lacs. The syllabus and study are not worth that. You can learn better on YouTube. Recently the UK government has reduced postgraduate visas from 24 months to 18 months as well they have increased the salary range to 43000 for sponsored visas. Fortunately I got the job but 90 per cent of people from my batch didn't get the jobs and they are still doing part time because they have a big loan to pay. If you are coming without loan, it's worth it to explore a new life and a new side but if you are taking a 40 Lacs loan just for study and considering the job market in the UK, it is not worth it at all. Start your own business in India within 40 Lacs that will have more Roi.

University is good and staff is experienced and very helpful.
Tips: This university is good if you are coming from any other country, as the city is friendly and you feel a lot safe and happy. The only drawback is that the social life sucks, and you can feel the difference as you can get shocked by the various culture that goes around Exeter.
Likes (Safety): The security and nature of people in Exeter are very nice. All of them are friendly and always help if they think you are in trouble, and they are very kind, so it's a lot safe in Exeter, also, at night, you don't feel threatened, only if you encounter a drunk Brit on the weekend, who will always say something or the other way around.
Dislikes (Value for money): There are many other universities that are far better than Exeter and have so much more value, like Leicester and other universities. The only positive is that it comes under the Russel group and it's quite peaceful. But the city is dead, no social life, no fun at all.

Tips: Before joining the university, please make sure you find an accommodation that is in a place and get a contact for 1 year. You can get a scholarship, but that is not too much. Please apply for it so you can get some discount. It is very expensive, just give it a thought and try for the north side universities.
Likes (Part time work): On campus jobs are hard to get, but there are a lot of other off campus jobs like cafes, bars, restaurants and all, and you can find a job here pretty easily. You just have to be presentable and make sure you know what you are doing in the interview, and you can secure a part time quickly.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): This city is great, but it doesn't have options to settle because it is one of the most expensive city to live in, and this includes transport, parking, house, food, and you don't get tasty food, it is just below average, and you have to struggle every day to do the minimum.

Tips: Search for scholarships; I received a 5,000 scholarship. Apply before the deadline. The scholarship amount will be deducted from your tuition fee. For example, my tuition fee was 27,500, and after the scholarship deduction, it became 22,500. The UK is truly a place with much to learn.
Likes (Safety): Exeter is a very safe city; in fact, Devon County is considered one of the safest regions in the UK, with a very low crime rate and no racism. I truly enjoyed my time in Exeter. As a part-time worker, I used to work as a cashier, and the people here are very polite and often offer compliments.
Dislikes (Value for money): The tuition fees are very high; don't fall for the trap of Russell groups, like I did. No one cares about which university you graduated from; ultimately, landing a job depends on how well you can showcase your skills to recruiters.

Tips: Many scholarships are available; I received the Dean's List Scholarship, a 3000 award and more options are available. The multicultural environment offers lots of growth and work opportunities. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the university; it is very professional and modern.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): The 2-year Post Graduate Work Visa requires sponsorship. While permanent immigration is possible, it's not easy. Consider the benefits of being a temporary or permanent resident. Focus on your mental health and happiness; the university offers support for various issues.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Walking is the most convenient way to get around Exeter, as buses are infrequent. The university has some shuttle options which are free that run multiple times a day from various locations.

Tips: I didn't experience a major cultural shift; everyone, including the local and university community, was welcoming and supportive, which made the transition smooth. I did not avail myself of any scholarships. Studying at the University of Exeter was both enjoyable and enriching, offering a great balance of academic and personal growth.
Likes (Value for money): The tuition fee was well justified considering the quality of education and student experience at the University of Exeter. The academic resources, Industry-relevant tools, and engaging assignments made learning effective and practical. Exeter offers great value for money and so does the university.
Dislikes (Indian Food): As an international student from India I found many culturally rich restaurants in the area including Thai, Chinese, Mexican and traditional British Cuisine. I personally found the British food a bit bland compared to what I'm used to but I thoroughly enjoyed exploring new flavours, especially Thai & Mexican dishes. Being a food enthusiast I made it to a point to try different cuisines to understand the culture better. Prices were generally reasonable for the quality and variety offered. One interesting adjustment was noticing how global chain like McDonald's and Pizza Hut have menu that cater to local taste which was not a surprise honesty as I traveled to a new country, Although I enjoy trying new food I prefer cooing at home and typically ate out only around 20% of the time.

Tips: The transition in my first year was very tough, especially because most Indian undergraduate students here come from the upper class, and there is a very visible class divide amongst them. Moreover, many home students also come from families with generational wealth, and that is a huge cultural shift after moving here. If you are from a middle-class or lower-class family, the best thing you can do is find like-minded people who would support you instead of looking down on you for wanting to be independent. That's what I did, and it worked out best for me. As for the city, I love the vibe here. I was a bit sceptical about moving to a small, quiet town as I come from Mumbai, but once I got used to it, I started to appreciate the peaceful quiet.
Likes (Safety): Exeter is a small town and one of the safest cities in the United Kingdom. It does get pretty quiet, but I personally have not felt very unsafe walking home late at night alone or with friends. There is campus security available to protect students, as well as different services for anyone walking home alone at night.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): It is very common for international students to move back to their country after their graduation from the University of Exeter or completely change their area of interest just to get a job in the United Kingdom. The most common reason for this is that the companies are reluctant to sponsor visas, especially in the current economic climate.

A top 10 campus uni in a small city in south west England
Tips: Exeter is a small city, many students who come here assume that it's gonna be as big as London which isn't the case. It is very small and you can literally walk everywhere. The population is mostly dominated by students so it is very safe that way. The faculty is excellent, and you can always reach out to them for any doubts via email or book office hours with any professor. The unique part of studying in Exeter is that the seminars are very hands-on and interactive with other peers as well as the professors.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Exeter is a small city that is easily walkable and is safe for international students. There are a few places that serve good Indian food, including Gandhi and Namaste Exeter. If you prefer to cook at home, you can find Indian groceries at Mess and Heera.

Tips: Students should be on time. Reasons won’t work here for being even 2 minutes late. People respect each other's time here, unlike back in India. Researching scholarships like Common Wealth and other university-funded scholarships will help you reduce your fees. Overall, be ready to self-learn and use university resources as much as possible.
Likes (Part time work): There are plenty of part-time jobs available on and off campus. If you can get an internship or contract work in your field, it will give you good experience and prepare you for your permanent role. You can work part-time at a warehouse, supermarket, or restaurant to cover your living expenses but don't expect to cover your tuition with your part-time earnings.
Dislikes (Public transportation): I rated low on public transportation because of randomly scheduled public bus cancellations without prior notice, thinking it would be ideal to have a private vehicle. The cost is reasonable with day passes sorting you out for part-time jobs. Weekly passes would work out if you travel as often during breaks while working full-time 40 hours.

Tips: Before joining this college, students should do some background checks and choose the right course. I received an academic scholarship of 35000. I also received a CFA scholarship from the University which helped me to add further value to my academic qualifications. I'm quite satisfied with my course and the University. The professors are very helpful and they want the best for you.
Likes (Safety): The University of Exeter has its own university bus which runs up late at night from the university to the City centre, so travelling back from the university at night was not a safety concern. Other than that, the University of Exeter also has its own night line which helps students in case of any emergencies.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Considering the market and political conditions, not many companies are keen on sponsoring international students. But based on the graduate visa one should be able to get you some relevant work experience. I'm not really sure if I want to permanently shift to the UK considering my interest in the field, and I want to work in various other countries that seem more promising than the UK.

It is a fun student life with lots of events.
Tips: Students should be aware of the culture, lifestyle and understanding the accent. My whole lifestyle has changed now. You don't have to worry about it much because you'll get used to it after coming here. The university also offers some scholarships so make sure you give your best essay and add in all those social efforts you have put in.
Likes (Student Life): Exeter is one good city for having a fun student life. There is no discrimination because when it comes to post graduation it's only international students in most of the classes so it would be pretty good. There would be a lot of events which will go in all around the year and I would suggest not to miss out on them.
Dislikes (Internships): There are guidance available but it depends on how a candidate use the available resources. There is no placement opportunity but they give good amount of guidance from the Career zone. I did not make enough use of it so it took me 8 months to land a job in the UK. But I suggest you to start working early onwards.

Tips: All students who intend to join this university in UK should do a thorough research about the specific program they are interested in. This is important as one university might have a higher rank in the university rankings for a particular course (let's say an MBA) while it might be ranked lower for an engineering program. This university is part of the Russell's group of Universities and has a good overall ranking among other universities in the UK. It's located in the South-West part of England and is not a fast-paced city like London or Manchester. This is also something one could take into consideration while applying. There are big cultural shifts you would observe here but that's alright as people are friendly here. There are scholarships available which you can avail which require mostly an SOP and some other documents.

Professors are there to guide, but students are expected to be independent, take care of their studies and be responsible for meeting deadlines. Also it is very useful to know some German for the daily life.
Likes (Value for money): The university offers an open, international, academically stimulating environment. My day is usually spent attending lectures and seminars, doing assignments or projects and studying in the library. What I like most is meeting students from different countries and having chances to work together with them.
Dislikes (Student Life): The professors and lecturers are very knowledgeable and helpful. They are, on the whole, open and friendly, and students can usually get in touch with them during office hours or by e-mail if they need academic advice. The teaching method is a mix of theory and practice.

Friendly university, good campus in Bremen
Tips: In the initial few days, it will seem very hard, with all the documentation. But you will breathe some fresh air and instantly like the feel over here. People are softer, there is less noise, and every place seems very clean (Other than Hauptbahnhof, of course). But the grey weather is something that I really hate. Although over time it will get better. Just enjoy the master's life, make some friends, study hard, and you will enjoy it here.
Likes (Value for money): Value for money because, in terms of fees, I only pay semester fees, which cover the transportation cost on public transport as well. Bremen's public transport is really good; trams are clean, and buses are on time and spacious. So, I don't mind paying around 400 euros per semester for this.
Dislikes (Part time work): Honestly, there are very few options regarding part-time work. Odd jobs are available, but the demand is increasing day by day, and it is even getting harder to get a part-time job alongside studies. I have contacted multiple professors at the university to ask if they need any student assistants, but they mostly said they don't have funds to hire me. Although I have a minijob, which pays me 603 euros per month at a 15.20 euros per hour rate.

Masters Program at Bremen: Worth It, With Some Adjustments
Tips: There is a real cultural shift: Germans are direct and formal, which took some adjusting to. The weather is grey and rainy most of the year, so prepare for that. Admin tasks like visa and registration are very slow, so start early. Overall, I am satisfied with the programme and the university.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport here is genuinely one of the best things about living in Bremen. The tram and bus network (BSAG) connects campus to pretty much everywhere in the city; the buses/tram come frequently, so you are rarely waiting long. As a student, the semester ticket covers all public transport, so I don't pay anything extra to get around, which honestly makes a huge difference for the budget. It is clean, reliable, and easy to navigate even if you are new to the city. Whether it is going to the supermarket, city centre, or just exploring on weekends, I never feel like I need a car here.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Honestly, Indian food options here are pretty limited and expensive. There are a couple of Indian restaurants near the city center, but eating out regularly there costs around 12 to 18 EUR per meal, which adds up fast on a student budget. There is no proper Indian grocery store super close to campus either, so I usually take the tram into town to get spices and lentils from an Asian store, which is a bit of a hassle. Because of this, I end up cooking for myself almost every day rather than eating out, since it is way cheaper and I can actually make food that tastes like home. It would be great if there were more affordable Indian or South Asian options closer to the accommodation.

Cool college to study in
Tips: Uni Bremen is honestly a solid spot to study. The campus layout is super convenient, professors are actually approachable, and the overall student culture is very laid-back. Tips: Moving to Germany and starting at the University of Bremen definitely comes with a sharp learning curve. You aren't just adjusting to a different lifestyle and culture in Northern Germany—you also have to adapt to an academic system that demands total self-reliance and independent time management.
That initial transition can feel overwhelming during your first semester, but it's 100% worth it. One huge advantage here is the internship setup. Because the campus is right next to the Technologiepark—and Bremen has massive industry ties in aerospace, logistics, and tech—finding relevant Werkstudent (working student) positions or research internships is very doable once you settle in. The university provides a solid platform, provided you're ready to embrace the culture shock and take charge of your own studies.

A great place to learn, grow and explore
Tips: Moving from India to Germany is a big transition, especially adapting to a new academic system and more independent lifestyle. Communication style between professors and students is more friendly and equal-colleagues-like than a superior-inferior dynamic, and routines are more chill and easy-paced than how courses are usually in India. Over time I became more comfortable and particularly like the work-life balance here. - I did not avail of any scholarship. However, DAAD and other such sites do provide good scholarships especially for international students (NOTE: they can be quite competitive so it is important to research and apply early) -Overall. I am quite satisfied with my experience here. I particularly appreciate the research-oriented environment and the opportunities to gain practical experience. Also, Germany has given me a good balance of academia along with independence and building a good career & life.
Likes (Public transportation): For a city that is not as metropolitan as Hamburg, the city connection is pretty good, with trams and buses working through the night as well until 1:30 a.m. The next connection starts from 3:30 a.m. on weekdays and weekends. The city is well connected through trams, buses, and regional trains, and there are also e-bikes and e-scooters available for shorter distances. - Public transport is free if you have the university semester ticket or the Deutschland Ticket (50 euros) and is affordable and very convenient.
Dislikes (Internships): Guidance for finding scholarships depends on mentors. It is not always necessary that every department faculty member be enthusiastic about mentoring regarding this matter. In most cases, searching for internships falls on one's own shoulders. However, networking through online sites like LinkedIn and amongst colleagues always helps. - Available internships need to be researched throughout Germany, as just within the city of Bremen is not enough. However, I did find relevant internships here and across Germany.

Worth it. Not easy. I like it, you might not if you're aren't rigorous and intense yourself
Tips: Freedom of choice (a bit too much). Offices and bureaucratic processes were delayed and understaffed. Scholarships available but very rare. Depend on social or local political contributions, which require a high German-speaking level. I am satisfied, but not everyone's cup of tea. Don't risk it just for the sake of it.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Approachable during lectures. Very busy otherwise. Great structure in teaching. Use examples from your own field of work. Sometimes boring and repetitive within different modules. Everyone has a different style. It is not easy to score high grades. All faculty are Germans or, at the maximum, Italians.
Dislikes (Internships): You have to get the internships yourself; nobody is going to guide you to them. Also, it is technically illegal to work full-time while being a student. No provisions for internships within the course. Can only do so for the thesis. Moreover, there is a lot of competition for few positions; it's a good idea to have German-speaking skills to be able to work with technicians or support staff.

Freedom, flexibility, figure out on your own
Tips: Expect taking longer to finish the degree than expected. University offers a lot of freedom and flexibility. There would be a lot of international students in your class; Germans usually take courses provided in the German language. Overall being proactive and organized will make things work your way.
Likes (Public transportation): Very well connected to anywhere in the city even on weekends and also to the other nearby cities with regional trains. Also, night connections to your home anywhere in the city. Not just one but multiple connections to the university from your place of residence.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Not many Indian stores. Even if there are, they are small and mostly international and not specifically Indian stores. Although you might find most of the stuff you need, it's not as good as the Indian stores in other cities. Not many cheap varieties of restaurants either.

Welcoming university and friendly city Bremen
Tips: The cultural shifts were expected, as I knew before coming, but still adapting to those was a little hard initially, but as time passed, everyone adapted to them. Germans are very direct in conversations and very punctual. On Sundays, supermarkets are closed, and probably it was the biggest shift that I had to learn. Usually in India, on Sundays, people go out to buy things. I did not have any scholarships, and I didn't apply for one as well. But, anyway, I am very satisfied with the university; students are friendly, and everyone minds their own business without judging others. Although studies are expected to be totally self-sufficient. But adapting to these becomes easy within a few months. 100% recommended.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transport in Bremen is far better compared to other similar cities in Bremen. The tram/bus is frequent and well connected to every location. Even during nighttime, the N-buses are available throughout the city. Thanks to the semester ticket, we don't have to pay separately for tickets, so it's easy on the pockets. But the semester fees have increased too much in the last 2 semesters.
Dislikes (Safety): I had some bad experiences in Bremen regarding safety; I lost my phones, and even after knowing the location of the phones, the police failed to recover them. Although it is not the university's fault and it's not like everyone had the same experience, it is what I felt. Apart from campus security, there is a student union called Asta, which helps in several issues.

Tips: Coming from West Bengal, the biggest adjustment for me was getting used to the quieter lifestyle, colder weather, and doing everything independently. It took some time to feel comfortable, but meeting other international students and joining university activities helped. I did not receive a scholarship, so I would suggest planning finance carefully and checking scholarship options early. Overall, I am satisfied with the university and course, although learning some German makes everyday life and social interactions much easier.
Likes (Public transportation): I gave transport top marks because getting to campus and moving around Bremen on the BSAG network is super easy. Tram 6 drops you directly at the uni, and as a female student, I feel completely safe riding trams and buses alone—whether I'm heading to classes, grabbing groceries, or meeting friends in the Viertel. The student semester ticket covers everything, so you don't have to worry about individual fares. Late-night N-buses run a bit less often, but daytime service is super reliable.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are a few Indian restaurants in Bremen, but proper Bengal food is quite difficult to find. Eating at Indian restaurants regularly can also be expensive for a student, with a meal generally costing around 12 EUR to 20 EUR. I usually prefer cooking at home because it is cheaper and allows me to prepare familiar Bengal dishes according to my taste. Indian and Asian grocery stores make it possible to find most of the basic spices and ingredients.

I self-funded my degree without a scholarship, so budgeting carefully before landing in Germany is non-negotiable. Overall, I’m happy with my choice—you just have to take initiative and actually put yourself out there.
Likes (Public transportation): The University of Bremen is very well connected to the rest of the city through trams and buses. Public transport is frequent, reliable and makes it easy to reach the campus. The semester ticket also makes traveling quite affordable for us. Overall, transportation is convenient for attending classes as well as exploring Bremen and nearby places, which is why I rated it 5.
Dislikes (Part time work): I gave part-time work a 2/5 because finding a decent student job in Bremen is really tough if you don't speak fluent German. Most mini-jobs or Werkstudent roles—even basic customer service or café work—require at least B1/B2 German, so English-only opportunities fill up instantly. While I still want to settle in Germany long-term after graduation for the quality of life, finding part-time work to cover monthly expenses right now takes months of endless applications."

Tips: Yes, there were cultural differences; acceptance and patience help. Change is good. No. For my course, 6.5/10, other specializations could be included in the course; the course is more learned towards robotics. They could include more computer vision and other domains of GenAI.
Likes (Safety): It feels safe; everyone minds their own business, and be mindful of your surroundings. I've had friends who have gotten robbed in the city, so always be aware of your surroundings; don't make an absent-minded mistake. No bad experiences in the city.
Dislikes (Part time work): It is difficult to find. Depending on the place, it varies from €13.90 to €16.00. A referral helps a lot here; use the bulletin board from the university. You need to reach out and be out of your comfort zone, mail professors, or go ask restaurants for open positions.

German University at it's best.
Tips: 1. Every class has a lecture class as well as a tutorial class, and tutorials are taken by Ph.D. students. Deadlines are important, and late submissions are not considered. 2. No, I do not have any scholarships. 3. Very satisfied with my university because the university organizes so many events to interact with everyone. The course is difficult, but seniors and tutors still help a lot. The country is very nice, peaceful, and relaxing.
Likes (Indian Food): I usually prefer cooking myself, and almost everything is available in German supermarkets and Indian stores. The restaurants have few Indian foods, but we learn a lot by cooking ourselves. Restaurants are both costly and affordable; we get rolls, pizza, burgers, and we're done.
Dislikes (Internships): Not much guidance is available for internships. Everything should be done on your own. Internships are there, but you need to search a lot. People need to search for the job opening on company and research institute websites or directly approach their professors.

Quality education with Great Student Life
Tips: If you're coming to Bremen for AI, the degree quality and research projects are great, but you need to prepare for life outside the classroom. Learn as much German as you can before landing—you can survive on campus with English, but basic German is a lifesaver for supermarket runs, admin paperwork, and finding student jobs. Also, start spamming WG-Gesucht for accommodation months in advance because the Bremen housing market gets crowded fast.
The academic system here requires total self-discipline. Professors won't babysit you, so balancing self-study for AI project work alongside cooking and cleaning takes real effort. Culturally, the strict punctuality and German respect for personal space felt a bit distant at first coming from India, but after a couple of months, you adapt. I didn't get any scholarships, but landing a HiWi job on campus covers my monthly living costs just fine. Between the strong AI research focus, reliable BSAG public transport, and high safety, it's definitely worth it.

The city of peace and opportunities.
Tips: As a student, I am happy with as of now and am easy going and able to adapt quite easily and I didn’t avail any scholarships but options are there. Living as a student here in Bremen is easy but as a student, it is always our efforts to stand out.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Faculties are experienced and expressive. They do not hesitate and are able to clear whatever students have in the topics and regarding the subject. It is easy to get an appointment with the faculty. The teaching is quite unique and they explain concepts compared to real life scenarios which makes it understandable for students. No diversity at all and all are treated the same way.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Our home country's food options are expensive here and students can’t eat frequently and have to manage with the limited varieties. If the students are earning part time, the amount would be sufficient and they would be able to afford otherwise it is expensive. I mostly do not eat outside and eat only once or twice a month and I like to cook by myself.
