MSc in Business Management - Batch of 2024
3.9
College is good. All private universities are the same, just look out for fee structure.
Tips: Students should know that public universities would be better to join. Also, learn German before arriving. The university is good and the course is nice. No allowance is provided and no cultural shift is needed. You will have to find your own part-time and internship opportunities. For Indians, the food options are limited, but a healthy lifestyle can be achieved here. It's a good experience, and there are many types of restaurants here, including Asian, Indian, Vietnamese, German and Turkish, which offer a variety of foods. I am satisfied with the university and the country.

The university is on the outskirts of Berlin. Good environment for students to focus on studies.
Tips: When you walk down the street, people will often smile at you and say hello or Guten Morgan which is good morning in German. At first, it's a bit shocking, but you get used to it and it feels nice. When you decide you can do it alone you become very strong and sometimes students might feel homesick and it can really make you fragile at times but for all, it's worth it you'll be successful and can bring your parents abroad with you. I applied early and got a 25% scholarship on the fee structure. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the experiences here.
Likes (Part time work): I have 3 days of lecture a week and the rest days I do my part-time job. I think student life balance is pretty good here this year the average payout changed from 12 to 13 euros.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I cook daily Indian authentic meals because even if you go to Indian restaurants you won't get the proper taste like in India. There are a lot of restaurants though people here prefer donors a lot Turkish wrap and it tastes nice. Start learning how to cook and I believe you would want to have some dal and rice when you are abroad.

MSc in International Business Management - Batch of 2026

An enriching, fast-paced journey in a global environment.
Tips: Before joining Gisma, students should be ready for a fast-paced, international environment that values time management and adaptability. The cultural shift, especially around punctuality and direct communication, has been enriching. The faculty are very understanding and highly educated and helped us throughout the semester. I'm satisfied with my M.Sc. programme, and Germany's opportunities make the experience worthwhile.

A place to start you sustainable career
Tips: Know about the major differences in the country, difference between Hochschule and Private universities. It is often difficult to mix up between regular private universities which don't offer the best education. Choose only and only universities of applied sciences or hochschule that are a bridge between public and private universities.
Likes (Safety): For an MBA degree finishing the accreditation is important. GISMA is AMBA certified and the fee is quite low than their nearest accredited competition. Finding jobs is quite a challenge in Germany if you don't speak the language so keep fees lower to not have the burden post academics. The ROI is under 5 months for my course.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food is all germanized, so it is difficult to find authentic food. We need to get it aligned with the chef. I often go to the restaurants that I am aware of and always make my rapport thereby getting the food made as per the desi style. Pakistanis restaurants are way better than regular Indian restaurants.

Eye-opening, and life-changing challenges.
Tips: Firstly if your primary goal is to earn money please reconsider and allow a more deserving student to take the place. Secondly adhere to the rules as they are in place for a reason. Don't even consider pirating anything. You'll be fine with 900 euros. Scholarships are unnecessary. German universities have minimal fees. For instance, I pay 72 euros per semester, whereas I previously paid 700 euros monthly at NIT Calicut. Prepare thoroughly for your lectures, as materials are provided one week in advance. Do not attend lectures unprepared, as German professors will not hesitate to embarrass you.
Likes (Student Life): I graduated from NIT Calicut in India with a B.Tech degree and compared to that life here in Germany is at least 1000 times better. Libraries don't run out of books at the beginning of the semester professors aren't arrogant. You get licenses for 100 software programs to learn you can approach the student council if you have problems most events are free to participate and some paid events have minimal fees. You can join many communities and experience a lot more than you ever could in India.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I am in contact with over 20 companies that align with my interests and course. Regarding salary you can expect around 3000 euros per month upon joining with opportunities for significant experience and growth later. My advice is to focus on gaining experience and improving your German and English skills.

4.3
An academically oriented campus where you meet many like minded people from different cultures.
Tips: The cultural shift in my university is all inclusive of the German culture in general. A person who has transitioned themselves already in order to fit into the German culture can easily integrate themselves within the campus premises. There will be orientation or evening get-togethers where you can make friends from different backgrounds, understand their culture, play and eat along with them. It makes your university experience worthwhile.
Likes (Public transportation): You will get the option of buses locally and regular trains if you come from a nearby town. Since the university is near the city centre, it is easy to get there. And the university being close to the main railway station, you can easily walk to your campus.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The majority of the international students come here with the hope of settling down or getting a job without having proper knowledge of the local language. And since they spend most of their time earning or studying their English-taught course, they never get time to pursue learning German or even upskill themselves, which is why they eventually have to return to their own country.
