MSc in Data Science, AI & Digital Business - Batch of 2027
4.4
Happy and easy going only when social and adaptive.
Tips: To do comprehensive research about the tasks to be done after landing here. - Don't be overwhelmed when getting appointments, it takes time. - Don't search for part-time work the first thing after coming for the first time. - University doesn't have its own part-time or internship roles. - Scholarships are based on previous marks and the fee payment structure.
Likes (Student Life): It is also sociable and has low-stress levels. Being a peer leader, I get an opportunity of arranging fun campus activities and assist students clear their queries regarding academics and other aspects of college life. Despite the fact that there is no campus library, it is very easy to network and interact owing to vibrant student clubs and community support.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Finding a variety of vegetables is tough, as the population here depends on salads and bread rather than Indian cuisine. Indian stores are mainly in the centre of the city, making it a long trip for Indian groceries. Cooking yourself might help in saving money, as the restaurants are costlier. If an individual spends 7 euros on food from a restaurant, that same 7 euros might get them basic groceries for the week! - Döner is very famous in Germany and is budget-friendly for students, but only once in a while. - Bakery items are cheap in supermarkets.

I wish i knew what i signed up for
Tips: Know that you sign up to lose money, be stressed, and learn new adjectives to describe a shit university and experience, I had scholarship but I paid more than some people who didn't had scholarship and some people paid more who applied with a scholarship but before me, not at all satisfied with the university but good that I learned in the 2 classes they arranged in a week.
Likes (Public transportation): Berlin connectivity is amazing, 40min travel is considered to be close and that was a shock but you get used to it. University-provided tickets are a good deal, go for that and also go around the city. In the initial days, when you run here and there for a million registrations, you will get used to it. Good luck.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): No support from the admin, and you cannot expect off-office help/support as they always run short on staff, and a 0 for management; what can you expect from a university that makes mistakes in exam regulations and printing a degree, which I paid for, but teachers are good, except they have 2-3 classes in a week or sometimes in a month.

BEng in Software Engineering - Batch of 2026

A Candid Review of Student Life and Learning
Tips: There was no transition per se, as it was just introductory sessions, then classes, exams, thesis, and graduation. It was not a huge cultural shift coming from an international school, but the university provided cultural seminars as well. Depending on the circumstances, the university does provide scholarships to students, as I was offered one. I would say I am pleased with my university, course, and country of choice.
Likes (Post study jobs): Around 30,000+ jobs in Germany provide support for visa and relocation purposes. Some of the available jobs include AI Technician, Full-Stack, Front-end, Back-end, and Cloud Engineer. The salary offered depends on the individual as well as the company, but usually falls in the range of 65,000 to 75,000 euros per year.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are many Indian restaurants in Berlin, namely India Club, Amrit, Haveli, Aapka, Vedis, Maharadscha, Naveenapath, and Namaste. Food can cost about 15-20 euros, depending on the number of dishes ordered. Depending on the mood and occasion, on average, I eat out 4 times a month and cook at home the rest of the time.

MSc in Data Science, AI & Digital Business - Batch of 2026

I am satisfied with the knowledge i gained but it could have been better.
Tips: At present not much cultural difference, many students came from my country of origin. I am satisfied with the average outcome from the university. The course I took felt like a rush through the subjects, some basics were not covered, and advanced topics were covered, due to which many students faced difficulty understanding many things.
Likes (Safety): I have traveled for my university classes, so been through different cities, the overall safety in Germany is good. The police patrol and the public transport are all safe. You can return from work at midnight without any concerns. In big cities, I heard that one needs to take a few more precautions, but overall it's safe.
Dislikes (Value for money): The study fee is approximately 12 lakhs per year, but the faculty and administration are both downsides. Some professors are good and have an excellent teaching method, but the majority of the professors I had for my subjects were not very good. Also, some subjects were taught, but the related basics were not covered.

MSc in Business Management - Batch of 2024

College is good. All private universities are the same, just look out for fee structure.
Tips: Students should know that public universities would be better to join. Also, learn German before arriving. The university is good and the course is nice. No allowance is provided and no cultural shift is needed. You will have to find your own part-time and internship opportunities. For Indians, the food options are limited, but a healthy lifestyle can be achieved here. It's a good experience, and there are many types of restaurants here, including Asian, Indian, Vietnamese, German and Turkish, which offer a variety of foods. I am satisfied with the university and the country.

The university is on the outskirts of Berlin. Good environment for students to focus on studies.
Tips: When you walk down the street, people will often smile at you and say hello or Guten Morgan which is good morning in German. At first, it's a bit shocking, but you get used to it and it feels nice. When you decide you can do it alone you become very strong and sometimes students might feel homesick and it can really make you fragile at times but for all, it's worth it you'll be successful and can bring your parents abroad with you. I applied early and got a 25% scholarship on the fee structure. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the experiences here.
Likes (Part time work): I have 3 days of lecture a week and the rest days I do my part-time job. I think student life balance is pretty good here this year the average payout changed from 12 to 13 euros.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I cook daily Indian authentic meals because even if you go to Indian restaurants you won't get the proper taste like in India. There are a lot of restaurants though people here prefer donors a lot Turkish wrap and it tastes nice. Start learning how to cook and I believe you would want to have some dal and rice when you are abroad.

An enriching, fast-paced journey in a global environment.
Tips: Before joining Gisma, students should be ready for a fast-paced, international environment that values time management and adaptability. The cultural shift, especially around punctuality and direct communication, has been enriching. The faculty are very understanding and highly educated and helped us throughout the semester. I'm satisfied with my M.Sc. programme, and Germany's opportunities make the experience worthwhile.

Global MBA - Batch of 2022

A place to start you sustainable career
Tips: Know about the major differences in the country, difference between Hochschule and Private universities. It is often difficult to mix up between regular private universities which don't offer the best education. Choose only and only universities of applied sciences or hochschule that are a bridge between public and private universities.
Likes (Safety): For an MBA degree finishing the accreditation is important. GISMA is AMBA certified and the fee is quite low than their nearest accredited competition. Finding jobs is quite a challenge in Germany if you don't speak the language so keep fees lower to not have the burden post academics. The ROI is under 5 months for my course.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food is all germanized, so it is difficult to find authentic food. We need to get it aligned with the chef. I often go to the restaurants that I am aware of and always make my rapport thereby getting the food made as per the desi style. Pakistanis restaurants are way better than regular Indian restaurants.

A Great Learning Experience in a Welcoming International Environment.
Tips: Living in Germany has not been an easy task; however, adaptation into the cultural system has been an easy task. Generally, I have found it comfortable living in Germany. For other students, my advice would be to learn basic German before settling in Germany.
Likes (Student Life): I like the small parties arranged by the ASTA committee at the university. This is an excellent chance to come into contact with international students and make friends. This brings a positive and welcoming environment within the university, making student life more exciting.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Opportunities look really bright. I would recommend learning German language to the best of your ability before you arrive at Germany and also keep on improving yourself in your studies. As far as the Pharma Biotech area is concerned, starting salary packages are approximately 30,000 euros annually, which may differ from company to company.

International friendly and worth having
Tips: While joining, make sure that your mind goes towards the management because the course is completely towards the management side. There is no cultural shift because the majority of the people are from India. I'm not sure about the scholarship programme I have never heard of it. I am having a good time here.
Likes (Indian Food): If I talk about my place, Cologne, which is also considered a popular tourist destination in Germany, the options are vast, and lots of different origin restaurants you can choose from here. Personally, I prefer cooking at home instead of spending a lot on outside food.
Dislikes (Part time work): On-campus jobs are very few and require German at least at B1 level. Off-campus opportunities are at present not that much available due to the current market scenario. But if you have the skills that the organisation need then hiring chances might go up.

Safe, secure and friendly university.
Tips: Try applying to public universities. Apply for a German scholarship. At least learn an A1 language. Work on the accommodation prior to joining.
Focus on core subjects in which you want to work. Try to gain experience in college days such as doing internships or jobs.
Likes (Safety): The public transport is high frequency and the streets are under surveillance. They have helpline services which are 24/7. Also the police are on patrol very often so we can contact them if there's any problem. Very friendly and helpful nature of each citizen.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Various stores such as Lidl and Edeka are there but they lack Indian food products such as Price, Dal, Masala and Tea powder. You can get those in city stores but for that you need to travel at least an hour for it. I prefer cooking at home instead of eating outside.

The best private university with highly qualified faculty and a vibrant student life.
Tips: There are get-togethers for all students, seniors and juniors. I didn't receive any scholarships; my father sponsored my entire tuition fees. I am satisfied with my university; it is good, and the lecturers are very friendly. So, if you are planning on attending a private university, this is the best one.

Easy going and manageable for sure.
Tips: Students should carefully consider the subjects within the courses they are enrolling in as the subject matter is more important than the course title. They should also assess whether the investment is likely to yield a good return. Students should proactively seek out part time work and internship opportunities as university support in this area may be limited.
Likes (Public transportation): Berlin's public transportation is excellent. While there can be some delays the SBahn, UBahn, and bus services are generally very good. You can easily access everything. This is particularly true in larger cities like Berlin and Munich. Smaller cities don't usually have such effective transport systems.
Dislikes (Part time work): The university itself doesn't offer many part-time job opportunities, as it's located in a small two story building. There are no cafe options and there are no assistant professor positions available for part time work. Therefore students need to find their own part time work.
