Master of Science in Money and Finance - Batch of 2026
4.4
Good university, even better location
Tips: There were very few Indians in my batch, 5 out of 50, and in the next batch, just 1 out of 50. So it can be quite overwhelming at first since very few Indian students are accepted for this course. I got the Deutschlandstipendium in my first year. I got 300 euros every month for the full year, so in total 3600 euros. I got it based on my bachelor's marks and voluntary activities. I am quite satisfied with my university because the location is great for students who want to pursue finance, as Frankfurt is the financial capital.
Likes (Value for money): The tuition fee for my course was around 350-400 per semester. I find that quite justified because you are also getting free transportation, access to so many Goethe libraries, and free access to Frankfurt Zoo and Palmengarten with the Goethe ID. Also, I got a stay in the FDH dormitory, so my rent is just 337 euros. That's why if we add everything, I find it a real value for money.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian restaurants here are quite expensive. Also, the authentic Indian taste can't be matched. Dishes, which can be made with way less money, are found to be easily for 15-16 euros, and as a student, you don't want to spend that much often. I prefer cooking food at home, but once every week, I go out to eat.

Social Policy, MA - Batch of 2025
Offered by Bangor University
3.7
Bangor University is easy going and has qualified and highly knowledgeable faculty.
Tips: Coming to the UK was a dream come true for me. After arriving, it was an eye-opening experience for several reasons. Initially, it was difficult to deal with the different cultures, people, and climates, but I slowly started to learn from it. I came here as a government-sponsored student and also received a scholarship from the university. I am doing a Master's in social policy. Our course is not that complicated, so we don't have exams. Instead, we have assessments for each subject in each semester. My course is very easygoing, and the faculty members are very friendly and accessible. Classes are held three days a week, which allows me to work part-time and attend to personal matters. Overall, I am very happy and satisfied with my experience as an international student. Of course, there are challenges along the way, but they are good for our personal development and future happiness.
Likes (Public transportation): I live in university accommodation, so I don't need to take transportation to campus. I walk. When I go to my part-time job, I take the bus. Public transportation is comfortable and affordable, especially if you buy a daily ticket. Students also get a discount on tickets.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are restaurants and cafes on campus that serve Western cuisine, so it is difficult to find food that is familiar to me. I prefer to cook my own food when I feel like eating something from my home country. Food items that I am familiar with are available in nearby stores, but they are expensive.

MSc Agroforestry and Food Security - Batch of 2025
Offered by Bangor University
3.8
Bangor University is the best place for forestry related studies.
Tips: Students should understand the modules really well before joining. If you like the subject, you can enjoy learning it. I am happy to do this course because I like the subject. My communication skills have improved a lot because it is a multicultural university, and my class has students from 16 countries. This allows me to hear a worldly perspective every day in class. I am self-funded, but there are opportunities to avail scholarships. There is a student union called UNDEB that works year-round to improve the student experience. UNDEB sponsors activities for students, such as volunteering and a student fair. There are also many activities sponsored by student societies. The only downside is that if you are taking an intensive course, you may miss out on some of the fun aspects of university life. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my course, country and the university.
Dislikes (Part time work): The city of Bangor is very small and mostly comprises students. Its an apt nickname as a student city. While there are internship opportunities, finding part-time work is difficult. There are cities nearby where you can apply for jobs, but travel can be a bit tricky.

MBA in Management - Batch of 2025
Offered by Bangor University
4.1
Bangor University: A safe and supportive community for students.
Tips: Before joining Bangor University the student should be aware it is a peaceful close knit environment with a strong focus on research and excellent support services. The transition to Bangor may involve a cultural shift especially for those coming from big cities as it is a quieter and nature friendly town. Scholarships are available on academic merit and financial needs with allowances that cover partial or full tuition fees. The university staff is supportive.
Likes (Safety): Bangor is rated highly for safety due to its low crime rate and peaceful, community-oriented environment. This small city is closely knit creating a secure atmosphere for both residents and students. Bangor is a safe and welcoming place to live and study.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I'm yet to fall in the PSW category and start the hunt. The course will be over for me in January 2025 as of now I have not started the application process and am unaware of the post study jobs. This period will be crucial for me as I am still assessing the job market and trying to align my academics with the market demand especially in my field of study. It is the phase that requires careful planning and preparations.
