Amazing student life and friendly people.
Tips: Students should know that the admissions process is straightforward and that all the necessary information is available on the college website. Choose the course wisely, and reach out to the college helpline in case of help. Although most of the courses are diplomas, there are a few scholarship options that are listed on the website. The cultural drift is the limelight. Overall, I feel satisfied and confident.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): If you have a good profile before you immigrate, Humber can help you get a decent job, leading to permanent immigration. Given the quality of life in Canada, I would prefer to stay there. Don't leave right after your undergraduate or school studies. If you're planning to go to Canada, make sure you complete your profile-building activities.
Dislikes (Value for money): It's a great school if you want an old-school vibe with a campus on the lakeshore. However, the fees are comparatively higher than other institutions. Also, considering the latest government regulations and current job scenarios, I would rather prefer to get a master's degree or a course without Co-op requirements.

Placements are not provided at all in Humber College.
Tips: I returned to India after completing my three-year course in Canada. I applied for scholarships but was rejected because they were reserved for Indigenous Canadians. I got minimum-wage jobs despite having interned at a government body in Canada. The college didn't help with placement at all. The job market is unkind to Indians who want to hold a respectable post. The only jobs open to immigrants are blue-collar jobs. Even for on-campus opportunities, only citizens are considered. Paying off my own fees was almost impossible with the meagre salary I earned. I leave it to decision-makers to decide what's best for them, but I wouldn't recommend moving abroad without full financial support and mental health considerations.
Likes (Safety): I felt safe while I was in the city, which has a reputation for proper implementation of women's safety measures. However, there are a few localities where racism is still prevalent. Also, there is a lot of community discrimination internally within Indian immigrants. So, safety can be a concern sometimes.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): My experience was bad as the companies that sponsor visas often offer low-paying, bond-based, or contractual jobs that are not relevant to the field of study. The jobs offered are typically blue-collar and have no relation to the skills of the person being offered the job.

Difficult to find accommodation in Lakeshore.
Tips: The accommodation situation near Lakeshore campus is extremely bad. Make sure that you have contacts already who are willing to help you with the transition. The college will give you many assignments from the first week itself that it will be difficult to focus on any other thing after the beginning of classes. So, the best thing is to apply for part-time jobs and find a place to live before your classes begin. Arrive at least 10 days before the college starts so that you are comfortable and don't have to rush during the college hours.
Likes (Indian Food): You find quite a decent number of options for Indian food but it will burn a hole in your pocket and it is not suggested. But there shall be a difference in taste as compared to the food available in the country and it is suggested that you try everything to not get homesick.
Dislikes (Student Life): The college has little options whereby an international student can approach for help. Moreover, finding decent accommodation in the vicinity of college is a huge task and the rents asked by the landlords are through the roof. The assignments and part time opportunities are very cut throat too.

Humber College is a great experience!
Tips: Things to know before joining Humber College, North Campus is that
Canada is very cold and you will need to bring a lot of winter clothes before joining this college.
Most of the food options at the campus are non-vegetarian. If you're a vegetarian, make arrangements accordingly. If you're non-vegetarian, you're up for a feast.
All the best for the rest.
Likes (Student Life): Student life at Humber College, North Campus is full of a mixed crowd. Most of the students studying at Humber College come from diverse backgrounds and countries. For an Indian student, you're not going to feel lonely at all, as the college will have enough people to offer comfort and support to you.
Dislikes (Internships): Despite being a 4/5 on internships, the college promotes and motivates its students to seek internships on their own. However, the course curriculum and teaching pedagogy train its students to be industry-ready at the end of the programme. There are multiple opportunities for internships outside the college.

Vibrant and diverse learning environment.
Tips: On my first day, I was provided with a campus tour by the staff. It was a great way to learn about each and every corner of the college, like the lecture halls, canteen, assignment lab, etc. This really made me feel happy and very grateful to the staff who are so supportive and accommodating. As we know, there are a lot of companies that guarantee to hire freshers upon completing a course with new technologies. At this moment, many companies are looking for people with artificial intelligence knowledge. This is the age of technology, so it is beneficial for students to enroll and gain some knowledge and experience in this field.
Dislikes (Part time work): These days, it is difficult to find a job. Whenever I search for a job, all the positions are full. I know from talking with other students that the average part-time job pays around $12 to $15 per hour. We can find help on some online platforms.

Interactional and qualitative academics with industry level assignments.
Tips: The faculty is great, and everyone is very friendly. The professors that teach us here are actually working professionals in their field, so it really helps in bringing forward the real-world implications and perspectives. Humber is pretty hectic otherwise in comparison to other colleges. There is a lot of work, but it really pays off in the end. Overall, I am satisfied with the course and the country.

Multicultural and unique.
Tips: It is important that you have an open-minded approach as you will be exposed to a variety of cultures, opportunities and people. Make sure you are safety conscious and be aware of your surroundings when outside campus. Moreover give yourself time to settle.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part time work options are limited as you need to adhere to your visa regulations and work permit, and the university has a few options although they are somewhat limited. Moreover it is important to strike a balance between your work and academics which can be somewhat challenging.

Excellent experience and amazing life .
Tips: After coming here as such there are no changes other than the cultural change.
We get to experience new cultures and tend to be like them. The way they dress and talk. It’s in total a different vibe. I am totally satisfied with my college as it’s given me a new experience and a new way to live.
Likes (Internships): The best part about college is that you get to meet new people from around the world and get to gain new experiences from different people.
Different events are like Halloween and more they even celebrate Indian festivals. People here are very generous.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are world class facilities in the college and the faculties over there are very helpful with any doubts or questions.
The faculty teaches in a different way with examples of videos and practical examples.
The teachers in total are from different countries so there is no discrimination.

Strict college but has good opportunities for degree class
Tips: One should know that if we choose diploma then we always have less opportunities as compared to degree so it’s very important to know that opportunities will be less if you are going for settlement then must go for degree. I suggest this but everybody have their own choices.
Likes (Safety): Because it’s located in the heart of Toronto and Toronto is very safe area also it’s very comfortable for girls. All transport facilities available till late night and there is a safety persons on the road every time because of main area crime rate is very low.
Dislikes (Internships): I rated 2 because college do not provide much options after diploma they give value to the students who did bachelors so and they charge extra for trainings and don’t pay anything for Indian student it’s very difficult to manage all expenses so I recommend degree course.

The job market is down across Canada, so getting a placement is a hassle.
Tips: Students should research their programme and understand the course structure. It's important to plan accommodation as early as possible. I experienced a slight cultural shift, but it was positive. I could not get any scholarships, but there are plenty to grab. Additionally, there are a lot of TA and RA opportunities, which will help the students financially. I also worked as a TA. Overall, I was satisfied with my university experience; it also depends on the courses you take to gain skills and knowledge.
Likes (Public transportation): Ottawa has a lot of transport options, and transport to Ottawa has a train that enters the university premises. The transport is affordable because the University of Ottawa provides a pass, which helps us to travel anywhere within Ottawa without paying a bus or train fee.

A prestigious institute at the capital
Tips: The University of Ottawa is excellent institute in terms of world ranking. You will find an amazing faculty here. The social and cultural events are add-ons. They celebrate some of the Indian festivals at the campus like Holi party. It has good public transportation services. UOttawa has a train station inside the campus and you can travel for free anywhere in the city from the pass provided by the university.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty of University of ottawa is great. All the professors hold Ph.D. degrees and are very knowledgeable in their respective subjects. Mostly all the professors have 10+ years of field experience which is very helpful in favour of the students. Also, the course curriculum depends upon the professor.
Dislikes (Internships): For MEng Civil Engineering, University of ottawa is not offering any co-op terms. You have to find the internship by yourself and apply for co-op permit if you get the internship. However, the university will help you in the process but you have to spend some extra money for that.

Exciting and fun environment to deepen your knowledge and build relationships.
Tips: Be open to any challenges to face here, sometimes you will have to manage all your expenses and food, and at times you might even feel lonely. But during these hard times, you will have to go through this with the utmost sheer will. Come prepared when coming for international studies, such as the accommodation, roommates, and other documents needed here so that you won't get stranded when the time comes.
Through social platforms like LinkedIn and WhatsApp contact persons who already went there for additional information or if possible maybe related to your programme as well.
Likes (Value for money): The overall course structure has many practical components such as projects and assignments relevant to the industry standards which benefits students who are applying for jobs. The part-time available positions are high in number so at least the expenses will be covered. Even though the job market is a little low now due to the recession, many postings and opportunities are coming our way.
Dislikes (Safety): There is always police surveillance throughout the area. There are few specific streets to avoid as they are filled with people who are on not trustworthy. But overall at least where I am living the safety measures taken by the government are actually good.

One must choose this university.
Tips: Should be fully prepared to be independent. Accept that leaving out of home is gonna be challenging. Yet it's gonna be alright. Prepare for the course as much as possible before even it starts. Find some friends who are studying the same course. Build your connections. Do your own research.
Likes (Part time work): I was able to find part jobs within 14 days of landing. Build a Canadian-style resume. Apply for part jobs on online website like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, indeed etc. I even went to each store in malls and handed out my resume personally to the managers.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer to eat home-cooked meals as outside foods are very expensive and have very less vegetarian options. But outside food here is clean and has a lot of Indian restaurants. For me, food was never a problem. I could easily manage cooking although I never cooked my own food in India.

University of Ottawa is better for Masters
Tips: Before enrolling in university, students should conduct thorough research, focus on the available courses in their field of interest, co-op prospects, and TA positions. I was fortunate to secure a $500 allowance. Adjusting to climate change might present some challenges, but with proper preparation and resources, it can be manageable.
Likes (Part time work): There are many part-time opportunities on and off campus which offers flexibility and easy balance work with studies. Average pay is 16.55/hr and it's even higher around 18-21$/hr for security and TA positions. Coming to the on-campus jobs there are many administrative and office jobs for students. For off-campus they can work in retail, walmart/grocery stores and the food industry too.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I'm not sure about the companies that sponsor visas but there are many opportunities for IT people, especially in networking and development fields. For core, there are opportunities in embedded systems. As I said earlier the jobs for freshers would be more in networking, embedded etc. The salaries range from 70k-100k (CAD). If one is developed and experienced, the salary can be more than that.

Well organized and world’s largest bilingual university
Tips: It is a bit tough in the starting phase as you will face homesickness. The best advice I can give is to study before you come to study as the education level is well advanced. There are no scholarships for international students that you can get.
I am satisfied with my coursework and university programme.
Likes (Public transportation): Well, the transportation service is actually good. There are options of buses and metro which are connected to even corners of cities. The timing interval between buses is also max. 20 minutes which will help you to reach your desired destination. It is very good.
Dislikes (Internships): In Master programme there are no internships. So there is nothing you can do to save your fees but if you perform well there are chances that you can avail internship. In Bachelor you can get it but not in the master programme. The University website has described everything.

My university is fun, challenging and provides opportunities
Tips: You should come here prepared as the education style is completely different and just passing the exam is not going to get decent grades in your course. You need to focus on projects, assignments as in India we take all these lightly and tend to complete them just before the submission date, that’s not going to work here as the assignments are challenging and require in-depth knowledge of the course that you are pursuing.
Likes (Post study jobs): The market here is full of opportunities and one has to grab them by keep on applying for jobs. My seniors also gave me positive feedback about the same. Also, the Canadian job market requires you to network with the people that are already in the market so it’s important to connect to them through LinkedIn.
Dislikes (Internships): My course doesn’t have a CO-OP so it will be a little hard to get an internship. But nevertheless one can get internship if he applies through company portal and if he manages to get an internship the university does back that job offer with a support letter which helps in getting visa to start working as full time in Canada.
