Very good university for an MBA.
Tips: Students should understand that they are going for a higher studies abroad, meaning they are gonna move, stay, study and probably work part-time as well. So the transition is not gonna be easy. Also, it isn't tough given the seriousness of the student to take up the opportunity for moving to pursue higher education. There is learning in every phase of an international student. There are scholarships available but since it's Germany, there will be a lot of paperwork (bureaucracy). I am very satisfied with my university, course and Germany. Also, I received a dual degree from London South Bank University. I am very glad about it.
Likes (Public transportation): Berlin is the capital of Germany. Therefore, you won't find any trouble travelling within the city. The public transportation offers various modes of transport at an affordable rate but students can travel free of cost as their travel is already included in the Semester ticket which is to be paid to the university semi-annually.
Dislikes (Internships): You have limited guidance on finding or applying for internships. Of course, you can go through mentoring and/or using the power of the internet to find and apply relevant internship opportunities in Germany. Yes, there are enough internship opportunities available but I would say that most of them would be in the German language and/or the organisation or nature of the position will demand fluent German language skills to undertake the role.

Average private university.
Tips: About the reputation of the university, its course curriculum and how much faculty support students to find jobs. They offer scholarships at the start if you are taking admission directly without any third parties. I would prefer to go to a public university instead of a private one.
Likes (Public transportation): My university offers a student ticket on which I can use all public transportation for free. There are U-bahn S-bahn and trams in the whole Berlin. You can use anything with a student ticket that which university provides you at cheap prices. Sometimes in winter you will face some issues but not for a long time.
Dislikes (Value for money): As part of a private university, the tuition I am paying isn't worth. All private universities only care about money but after that, you have to face many issues like support from faculty regarding your course problems or anything. The university has one major issue is every process is online. You have to mail just to get in touch with the faculty.

Tips:
Adapting to Germany’s punctual and disciplined culture was enriching. I didn’t get a scholarship. I’m very satisfied with the course, university, and life in Germany.
Likes (Safety): Berlin feels very safe and well-organized. Apart from campus security, public transport is well-lit and monitored, emergency services respond quickly, and the city has a strong sense of community.
Dislikes (Internships): The internship experience was quite disappointing. There was very little guidance or mentorship, and the tasks assigned lacked clarity and purpose. The absence of structured learning opportunities and feedback made it hard to gain any real skills or growth.

Job market is tough currently.
Tips: Research is the biggest key to know about anything abroad. Just research well on how to deal with everything when you are abroad, as it might get tough at one point.
It would be brand new for an individual to adjust here with the cultural shifts.
About internships, work experience works here if you have one, you might land somewhere. Tough for a fresher like me to survive.
The university is not really up to the mark regarding everything, as it is facing an issue.
Likes (Safety): Berlin is safe, every city has its own downfalls in a few places, but at the end, it is safe to travel here regardless of any gender, boy or a girl, to travel during the day or at night.
It’s fine to travel at night if you're thinking, some places are unsafe in Berlin, but you could always move to a new place, so not to worry.
Dislikes (Internships): The situation currently in Germany is quite tough for the job market, as students and working professionals as well are finding it hard to land any internships or jobs, as most of the universities won’t spoon feed you on the internships or work to find out.

There are several public universities, try to get admission there.
Tips: Currently, my university student is facing lots of issues related to Visa immigration. And, I saw many students who got reactions from the visa extension. And after all this happened University couldn't help much. Students who paniced face trouble finding jobs. It was so stressful for the students. Berlin is a good place with well structured city as well as cheap transportation.
Dislikes (Value for money): Because I faced lots of issues related to university. The university is not very helpful. Without my concern, they deferred my admission. I tried my best to communicate with them, and I landed in Berlin. After that, they didn't even help me, even though I spent 3 months without papers and documents in Berlin.

Stressful, poor academics.
Tips: This is the worst possible university in Berlin. A lot of discrimination takes place here. Professors are not interested in teaching. You will learn nothing here. The acceptance rate is high as they are going bankrupt.
Likes (Public transportation): My student life was non existent as teachers were never ready to teach. The campus has 0 events. It is a host town. If you want an actual college experience, go somewhere else; you have been warned. IU is poor in every standard and does not even have a real campus.
Dislikes (Value for money): Faculty is the worst, unresponsive, no support. Teaching is monotonous and boring, and lecturers are often underqualified. The only diversity in students is Indians and Pakistanis, same goes for the faculty. Professors are often racist towards students.

Inexpensive university with public university benefits.
Tips: There is an early bird discount, not sure whether it's still available or not. Cultural shift was of course there but with STW and other student organisation, it gets easier to settle down. For scholarships, one can apply to DAAD, which provides a lot of scholarships, even Erasmus.
Likes (Public transportation): Even though trains are cancelled or delayed most of the times, but it is very convenient to travel across Berlin, especially as a student, you get discounted tickets with which you can travel all over Germany. Discounted tickets are 29 euros but students will get them only if they belong to a public university, and the university itself provides the ticket.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Currently in Germany, it is very difficult to find a job. There are openings but there is a big mismatch between supply and demand. It's mostly because of the language barrier. They expect immigrants to speak native level German even for jobs where English can work perfectly. Universities abroad don't provide placements like in India, there are job fairs where you can connect with companies and people. To find a job, it's all about networking.

Tips: I strongly advise students to have a solid financial base as there are significant costs involved including semester tickets, tuition fees and health insurance. I recommend exploring education loan options to cover these expenses everything else is manageable.
Likes (Student Life): The university is located in a very good location with excellent transportation and comfortable accommodations. The spacious, well lit campus, coupled with friendly staff is a major plus. Living in Berlin itself is also a significant advantage as locals are very friendly and respectful.
Dislikes (Indian Food): It's quite difficult to find authentic Indian restaurants in Berlin. Some are overpriced, while others aren't even Indian. There are also very few vegetarian options. I recommend that people cook their own meals most of the time and eat out only 1 to 2 times a week.

It is a good option for entry to Germany.
Tips: Before coming to Germany, make sure you have good language skills and financial backup. If you don't get a job, you'll need to survive after your blocked funds are used up. Due to the economic crisis, newly arrived students are experiencing cost-cutting measures that make survival difficult.
Likes (Safety): It's been 6 months in Berlin, and I've travelled here every hour, even at midnight, and there's nothing to worry about. On weekends, Berlin is more lively and vibrant, so no need to worry about safety. Here, on the street, you can find many beggars, but they won't harm you, and there's police available within a minute.
Dislikes (Part time work): The university campus has a high volume of English speaking students making it difficult for me to find a part time job on campus. I was already finding it hard to find work anywhere in Berlin before coming here. I have to learn some skills in the job market of my field before I can come here. If I learn some German I might have better luck.

Tips: Before joining this university, I would recommend checking online reviews and the alumni of the university on LinkedIn. It’s also important to talk to someone who is currently studying there to find out how they’re managing their studies and what problems they might be facing in their career path and at the university.
Likes (Public transportation): There is a U-Bahn underground train station close to the university and bus stops nearby, making it convenient to access the central train station. The campus is also walkable and accessible by bicycle.
Dislikes (Internships): The college is not helping its students find internships. If they were, then it would be easier for students to get jobs, and easier to advance on their career paths. They should form a network of alumni who have found jobs and can guide current students in the process.

There aren't many internship opportunities available on campus.
Tips: There hasn't been much of a cultural shift since I moved from India, mainly because IU is about 90% Indian students. That gives us a strong sense of being at home here. I didn't receive any scholarship, as None were available at the time. I'm very satisfied with the country—Germany—and the city, Berlin. As for IU, I'm somewhat satisfied, not completely, because in most public universities, you can get admission for free.
Likes (Post study jobs): In Germany, there is no concept of on-campus jobs, so everyone has to find jobs on their own, whether you are from the Technical University of Munich, BSBI, or IU. There are countless opportunities available, but the job roles you are eligible for and the salary packages generally depend on your qualifications, experience, and GPA. Plus, once you start working, you will be provided with a work visa. After five years or three, in the past, you could apply for permanent residence. The only condition is that you must be proficient in German at the C1 level or higher, which could be either C1 or C2.
Dislikes (Internships): At IU, there aren't many internship opportunities available on campus because the teachers aren't permanent and often change. As a result, there isn't a consistent teaching assistant or support staff in place. That's why most students look for work opportunities outside the university. If you're studying Computer Science, you'd search for internships related to your field, and the same goes for BBA and other programs. As I mentioned earlier, the internships can be relevant to your field, as long as you choose the right one.

IUBH with an Indian mindset.
Tips: Most of the students at IU are Indian, so for me, there was not much of a transition. Because of the high Indian students, there are a lot of good Indian restaurants in the area. I did not avail any scholarship. I love it here, except for the harsh language, which I am not used to, but I believe I'll be fine. As the university is for three days a week, it is quite manageable to study and work. There are lots of cafes, restaurants, and places where you can work part-time to earn a living, with potential for 12-30 euros per hour. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Dislikes (Internships): Not a lot of on-campus internships available, but there is a placement cell in the university for jobs and internships. However, the placement cell's prime focus is on jobs rather than internships. Various off-campus internships align with your field of study. I recommend doing your research to find them.

Tips: I would definitely go for permanent residence if I get the chance. Learning German is crucial, C1 level to be exact. The majority of the students are Indian at IU, so I did not face a lot of cultural shift. I also didn't get any scholarships. But I am very satisfied with Berlin and Germany on the whole, and IU offers exactly what they promote on their social media pages and website.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are not a lot of on-campus opportunities, such as teaching assistants and other internships, but on the bright side, the university is located in the prime area of Berlin, so there are a lot of off-campus part-time jobs. The part-time jobs are quite manageable, as you're allowed to work 20 hours a week.

Diverse culture and academics at IU.
Tips: Obviously, there is a cultural shift for you. You are moving here for two years, and you will definitely miss your home culture. But here in Germany, there are many Indians here which will fill that gap.
Likes (Public transportation): The transport system in Germany is easy to navigate and affordable. The metro system is very well connected, and as a student, you'll get many discounts on travel. If you have your own bicycle, you can easily manage the cost of transportation.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are very few on-campus job opportunities, such as student advisory or student representatives. This means there are very few chances to get one of these jobs. As for off-campus jobs, there are internships and jobs at Amazon warehouses. They are pretty manageable, and the average pay is about 12 to 15 euros per hour. I don't have any scholarships, but I'm very satisfied right now.

A place to explore culture and education simultaneously.
Tips: Students should have a good plan for how they will manage their expenses and because the university provides so many facilities students should know how to use them and take advantage of them efficiently. Also the university provides the opportunity to socialise and meet new people, so students should try to take advantage of that as well. Every place is well connected and since I have my student ID, I can travel freely to some extent and visit different places, all at affordable prices. I don’t mind paying a set fare if it means that I can travel to different places safely. Also, the travel from my room to university takes a minimum amount of time and the trains are available at every moment.

It's a wonderful college and provides a lot of work experience.
Tips: I didn't get any scholarships. As a student from India, the cultural differences are big. As it's an international university, the immigration support is great from the University end, and the procedures done are fast enough, the support system is reliable on an overall basis. But as an online student, you can feel a little delay while communicating directly with the university. I'm satisfied with the country and city, but the university could be better. Overall, though, I am happy with the opportunities I have found here.
Dislikes (Part time work): The part-time job support from the university is not all that great, and all you can expect are references or LORs from professors. The course is, however, relevant, so you can expect to find employment after you graduate.

Not too competitive, a laid-back environment that still allows you to compete on a global scale.
Tips: For those who can afford the upfront costs, studying at IU International University of Applied Sciences can be a valuable experience. Knowing German will really help. The university is nice, but you'll get some culture shock, and money matters. At least try and pay the first year's tuition. Part-time jobs might be a little hard to find. Germany takes its students seriously. As a student here, you must be diligent in your academics. The university has a competitive educational environment. However, with strong credentials and skills, you may get sponsorship from the school and the salary is dependent on your degree level. Learn any skills you can, as this will enhance your resume.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Eating out at restaurants in Germany is quite expensive, so eating out only once or twice a week is probably a better option. If you know how to cook, eating in might be cheaper, and this is especially true if you are a Muslim. While you might have some trouble eating at the halal restaurant, there are some good options out there. Be aware that German food may not be to everyone's taste, but some Indian stores offer a nice change of pace from the usual German fare.

Flexible university and great faculty.
Tips: Students must know about the university and the place. The university is situated in Berlin, which is a pretty good place for international exposure. If I say about the culture-shift experience, I had a pretty good experience because in India we don't do much interaction with others because we know our country well. However, in Germany, you need to interact with others and make good networks to get a good job or get personal experiences. Plus, I didn't get a scholarship. I got in just by the grades I had in high school. But I am satisfied with my university, the course, and the country.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport in Berlin is very cheap, and if you get lucky, you get a semester discount on a ticket. The fare is around 50 euros for the general public, but for students, it's around 25 to 30 euros, which is very cheap. With this discount, you can travel around for free for a month all over Germany. The campus is well-connected to the city and everywhere students would want to go, so you are covered by this great deal.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The food in Berlin isn't that spicy, which as an Indian is something I get a little used to. It's pretty good as far as fast food goes, but not that healthy. I prefer to cook for myself, as it's cheaper and healthier than eating out.

Dresden is a hub for the semiconductor industry.
Tips: It is a great opportunity to connect with international students and the research oriented faculty. There are many opportunities to grow at the university in whichever direction you want to go. The curriculum is revised every year to include new courses that are beneficial for students in the long term. Students without prior industrial experience can also gain experience through working student roles at the university and research institutes. Students who secure a good GPA of 9 and above (Indian grading system) can apply for scholarships. I am very satisfied with my university and the opportunities it provided me to learn, explore and grow. The course is quite good and you have access to industrial tools to get good exposure during the masters programme. This helps you in getting internships and other rules while studying. Germany is quite welcoming and I am happy to be here.
Likes (Post study jobs): The university is located in Saxony state in Germany. There are a lot of opportunities in the semiconductor domain as there are multiple startups, university spinoffs and MNCs. Dresden is a hub for the semiconductor industry as it plays a pivotal role being part of Silicon Saxony. Analogue and digital design, verification, research and semiconductor technology related jobs are available once you complete the masters programme in Nanoelectronic systems. Salary packages vary from company to company, roughly between 50,000 - 75,000 per annum. Salary is negotiable based on your skill set and experience in the domain in which you will be working.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer cooking food myself as there are less options in finding Indian cuisine. It is quite expensive to have food from restaurants while you are in student. There are restaurants providing Italian, Mexican, Greek, Indian, Asian and other European cuisines. Rates vary from restaurant to restaurant, depending on the dish you order. A dish can cost you anywhere between 5-30 roughly.

Amazing university for Nanoelectronics students.
Tips: There are multiple scholarships and programs available for building a network which helps a lot to find part time job and even full time job. Networking plays a major role. The course is easy if you regularly study and do not study just during exams, like an Indian college's approach.
Likes (Value for money): It's a public university, therefore there is no tuition fee and the fee we pay during the semester is for a semester ticket, which is used for public transport all over Germany. You dont have to pay any exam fee or utilities fees so basically the education you acquire is completely free of charge.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian restaurants are very few and among them, only 1 or 2 are worth the money therefore I prefer to try different cuisines outside such as Italian, Mexican, etc or else prefer to cook all by myself an Indian food, which makes it worth the taste.

Tips: For the ones who have lived all their life in India, cultural shift will definitely be there. But it is also based on how much open one is to the experience and well as flexible to trying new things and adjusting to it, while also remaining their core values. The first semester goes on very quickly, so people need to stick to their routine and not get carried away by the external things too much. Enjoyment is good, but if the goal is for a good education and a job afterwards, then it needs to be focused. There are several scholarships like DAAD, Erasmus Mundus. They usually pay for everything, although it is competitive. There are some partial scholarship as well which can be availed once someone gets enrolled to support their traineeship/internship, semester abroad, supporting master's thesis, buying laptops etc. The course is very multi dimensional so if you need to get specified knowledge in one field, you need to pick your electives wisely and opt for a semester abroad, if possible.
Likes (Public transportation): The entire city is well connected with public transport. Plus now, the deutschland ticket provides access to all local and regional trains (except high-speed ones), buses, tram, ferries, ropeways etc. throughout Germany. As a student, the amount is within the semester contribution, so one does not have to pay anything extra, after that it's about 60 euros/month.
Dislikes (Part time work): I rated 4 because part time jobs are available, but most of them require at least basic German language skills, specially the ones involving customer interaction. A part time job of 10 -20 hours/week is quite manageable, if one plans their schedule well and follows a structured timetable. There are several options of finding part-time work: TU Dresden job portals like STAV, and external job agencies like Nexgenjobs, eBay Klienenzeigen etc.

Tips: The city is good for international students and has Indian communities too for support. There are many incoming international students; thus, it's a friendly and student-loving city. The cost of living is average and manageable for students with the salary they get.
Likes (Value for money): There is no tuition fee at TU Dresden, as it is a public university. Also, it is one of the top 9 technical universities in Germany, making it the best university for international students. There are many English courses available, with great support from the university.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The market is a little tough to crack at this moment. The job postings do have a lot of jobs, but they are primarily jobs in the electronics industry. For some roles, you might be able to negotiate an internship that could eventually be a full-time job, or you might be able to find a student job and later negotiate a full-time position with that company. Additionally, if you can manage to learn some German, it would give you a leg up on the competition.

There's an Indian association to help you with your accommodation and university boarding.
Tips: The transition was smooth. People here are independent, punctual, reserved, polite, friendly and welcoming. There are cultural differences, and it took time to adapt. I didn't get a scholarship because my university is free.
Likes (Safety): Germany is, in itself, a safe country. There are emergency helpline numbers for various concerns, such as well-lit street lights and an emergency department at the university. If we have any safety, mental, or health concerns, we can easily go to them. Police patrol the street, and I haven't encountered any accidents yet. Most of the people I've met here are kind and helpful to outsiders. In every city, there's an Indian association, just like in Dresden when I first arrived. I was a new student, and a study buddy was assigned to me. He literally helped me with everything, from accommodation to my university boarding.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are various types of restaurants around, including Indian, Turkish, Italian, and various fast-food options. The price range is from 5 to 15 euros per meal, depending on the type of restaurant. I prefer cooking for myself because it is more affordable and healthier than eating out.

Stressful and highly demanding coursework.
Tips: If you really feel you can opt for research-oriented programs, please go for it. This program demands high prerequisite knowledge. I did apply for a scholarship, and for that, you need a couple of prerequisites. Do not come in the mindset that you can finish your master’s in 2 years. It’s a myth. The trams and bus connections are very well connected and organised. From my dorm, I need to go 45 minutes to my university. The tram connections are usually great. You get buses and trams immediately, and the wait time is comparatively low. This is especially true on weekdays, but weekend service is much less reliable.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer cooking by myself as I am able to cut down a lot of living expenses through that. The restaurants around my locality start from 10 euros minimum per meal, which is basically my half-week or a week's worth of grocery money. Try to save up as much money as possible, but don't be frugal in food.

Student life is great at Technical University of Dresden.
Tips: It is really easy to come and live in Germany as a student. The city of Dresden is filled with students of various cultural backgrounds. As a student, you will always have someone to ask for help. TUD is brilliant and there is a lot of room for students to explore before choosing their desired course of study.
