MBA in International Business Consulting (IBC) - Batch of 2026
3.1
New place, new life gradually will start feeling like HOME.
Tips: Every country has its own culture, and the location of this university makes it more culturally rich. The new comers should stay flexible and accepting and try to assimilate into the local culture. Winters can be depressing here, and summers are indeed beautiful, especially when living in the Black Forest region. Overall if you want a transition in your life, GO FOR IT. This country tests your patience, but the results will surely be worthy.
Likes (Safety): The crime incidents are really rare in occurrence. The city is really peaceful, and most of the people are kind and helpful. The university also organizes a seminar with the city police for awareness to stay safe, especially in student life. The homeless and drug addicts are almost invisible, unlike in other big cities.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are no on-campus part-time jobs. In the winter season the opportunities for part-time jobs are extremely limited. The summer season opens a lot of jobs. The city is small, because of which most of the part-time jobs require at least conversational-level German language skills. The academic schedule was tightly planned, which made it tough to maintain a balance between studies and a part-time job.

Review about Offenburg University of Applied Sciences
Tips: Before coming to Offenburg, you need to know that studying at a German Fachhochschule means total independence—nobody is going to hold your hand or track your daily progress. Moving to Germany was definitely the right choice, but adapting to the German academic system, culture, and language takes real effort initially. The upside is that Hochschule Offenburg has a huge international student community, which makes settling in, finding friends, and navigating local life way easier.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Faculty gets a full 5/5 because Offenburg is a smaller university where professors actually know your name. You aren't stuck in massive, anonymous lecture halls here. Most of the professors spent years working in German industry before teaching, so their project guidance is totally practical rather than just theory from a textbook. Whether you need help with lab work or career advice, you can literally just walk up to them or send a quick email to set up a meeting.

University advise for newbies
Tips: Classes can be demanding and independent learning is required Exams are very practical and understanding-oriented and different from India's. Learn German. Use student discounts and don't hesitate to enjoy meeting new people and joining new events on campus.
Likes (Student Life): Student life is amazing. You get to experience a lot of activity experiences and sports and meet a lot of people, and it makes you feel different, and there are options to take multiple courses, and they are good professors, and it's an international environment, which is amazing.
Dislikes (Indian Food): It's Germany, and you don't get Indian food in Offenburg. There isn't even an Indian restaurant there. But you can go to nearby cities for that. You can also cook it yourself. It's Indian food, and not a lot of people who live here in this not-so-big German city eat Indian food.

College is good. All private universities are the same, just look out for fee structure.
Tips: Students should know that public universities would be better to join. Also, learn German before arriving. The university is good and the course is nice. No allowance is provided and no cultural shift is needed. You will have to find your own part-time and internship opportunities. For Indians, the food options are limited, but a healthy lifestyle can be achieved here. It's a good experience, and there are many types of restaurants here, including Asian, Indian, Vietnamese, German and Turkish, which offer a variety of foods. I am satisfied with the university and the country.

The university is on the outskirts of Berlin. Good environment for students to focus on studies.
Tips: When you walk down the street, people will often smile at you and say hello or Guten Morgan which is good morning in German. At first, it's a bit shocking, but you get used to it and it feels nice. When you decide you can do it alone you become very strong and sometimes students might feel homesick and it can really make you fragile at times but for all, it's worth it you'll be successful and can bring your parents abroad with you. I applied early and got a 25% scholarship on the fee structure. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the experiences here.
Likes (Part time work): I have 3 days of lecture a week and the rest days I do my part-time job. I think student life balance is pretty good here this year the average payout changed from 12 to 13 euros.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I cook daily Indian authentic meals because even if you go to Indian restaurants you won't get the proper taste like in India. There are a lot of restaurants though people here prefer donors a lot Turkish wrap and it tastes nice. Start learning how to cook and I believe you would want to have some dal and rice when you are abroad.

An enriching, fast-paced journey in a global environment.
Tips: Before joining Gisma, students should be ready for a fast-paced, international environment that values time management and adaptability. The cultural shift, especially around punctuality and direct communication, has been enriching. The faculty are very understanding and highly educated and helped us throughout the semester. I'm satisfied with my M.Sc. programme, and Germany's opportunities make the experience worthwhile.

A place to start you sustainable career
Tips: Know about the major differences in the country, difference between Hochschule and Private universities. It is often difficult to mix up between regular private universities which don't offer the best education. Choose only and only universities of applied sciences or hochschule that are a bridge between public and private universities.
Likes (Safety): For an MBA degree finishing the accreditation is important. GISMA is AMBA certified and the fee is quite low than their nearest accredited competition. Finding jobs is quite a challenge in Germany if you don't speak the language so keep fees lower to not have the burden post academics. The ROI is under 5 months for my course.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food is all germanized, so it is difficult to find authentic food. We need to get it aligned with the chef. I often go to the restaurants that I am aware of and always make my rapport thereby getting the food made as per the desi style. Pakistanis restaurants are way better than regular Indian restaurants.
