Great campus, vibrant student life and many events.
Tips: Something that surprised me here was how much importance is given to group projects and participating in classes, not just speaking and representing, but also being an active listener. The faculty also encourages us to actively participate in events and clubs. I also spend time playing intramural football, which gives me a set routine and has helped me make good friends. Participate in everything you can, and you'll not feel like you're missing out.

Learn about the Mid Western culture before coming
Tips: The mid-western culture is a very courteous but close culture. So be ready to be warmly welcomed as a guest to begin with, but it's very difficult if not impossible to become a part of them, except if you learn basketball and soccer. As an MBA, you will find a lot of networking options, if you are smart about using these opportunities to mix with them, then you will may find your way into being accepted.
Likes (Safety): The place is pretty safe and easy to move around. There are certain areas that you must avoid, but you will find such areas few in number. Overall a very safe place. I haven't heard of or come across instances of unsafe behaviour. The east side of the university is not considered safe while the West side is safe and residential.
Dislikes (Value for money): Like every other school, there's significant scope for improvement in the MBA programme of the Ohio State University - Fisher College of Business. The college's lack of investment in student success is evident in its internal politics and bureaucratic hurdles, which hinder progress. The system is set to favour the few and there's a noticeable bias towards the Midwest, neglecting global perspectives. The programme's diversity is limited to local Ohio students or veterans, along with a few Indian and Nigerian students, highlighting a lack of inclusive culture and management of diversity.

Ohio State University- it's pretty great
Tips: It's super easy for international students to get used to the new climate, thanks to a lot of international organisations for students from other countries. Scholarships are plenty, and working on a project as a master's student can help you in getting a GRA, waiving your tuition for 1-2 semesters.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Extremely good with teaching new concepts, patient with students and understanding of our situation/difficulties. It's a paradigm shift in the professor-student relationship when compared to the hierarchical nature of professor-student relationships in India. You can approach your professors if you have any questions/advice regarding the course. They are usually extremely friendly and understanding.
Dislikes (Internships): Extremely hard for international students to get internships for the summer. This could be due to the economic downturn in the summer during my specific course, but I did notice that a lot of students were finding it hard to get into an internship for the summer.

Tips: If you are enrolling in this college, it's important to grasp the cultural and academic environment. Be ready for a possible change in culture when coming to the USA. Tips: The faculty is very good. Also, there will be a lot of sports activities that you can participate in. They have many organizations that you can be a part of. This university is academically good. Course structure and resources are available easily for free.
Likes (Safety): The college campus is very secure and has emergency buttons built at many places throughout the college. Also, the police are very active in this college as this is a state university and they cannot afford any type of criminal activity in this university.
Dislikes (Value for money): The original cost of this university is very high compared to other universities. I got a research assistantship so I didn't have to pay my tuition fees. But normally the college fees compared to other college is high because it is under top 50 universities.

The economic crisis and policy changes concerning immigration have made living more challenging.
Tips: The culture here is both inclusive and accepting. You will be a part of some of the most culturally rich environments, with clubs and societies ranging from dramatics to artificial intelligence to sports and so much more. I was given a merit-based scholarship that reduced my tuition by 8,500, which has been helpful. Since this is a big campus, getting a bike would really save time.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Living in the United States these days has become a very far-fetched idea. The economic crisis and policy changes concerning immigration have made living here more challenging. It is even more difficult because student visas have been revoked in some cases.

Tips: Students should be prepared to go through a lot of work at once. Unfortunately, UC Davis has a quarter system, which means there's no break from rigorous academics. Unlike other schools that have semester systems, we go through a lot of work at once. The only advantage is you get a lot of time off. Time management is key when at UC Davis. Students enjoy attending various extracurricular activities organized by the college, including a career and internship fair. The campus provides many places to spend the day attending lectures and completing assignments. The faculty is good. They will help you with assignments and are very approachable. Tips: The campus is beautiful and there is a lot of space to study or unwind especially outdoors. Finally, one of the biggest assets of studying here would be its reputation as a teaching hub and the windows of opportunities present.
Likes (Indian Food): I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of Indian restaurants within the vicinity and how popular the cuisine is here. You will never feel out of place and there are specific restaurants for different states such as South Indian, Gujarat, etc. Most of them are pretty reasonable and the Indian grocery stores are quite popular as well.

Tips: Before joining students should know that UC Davis is an expensive place to pursue their higher education so it would make more sense to come here with a scholarship or at least if you are keen on pursuing a degree which is more probable to land you a job. I would recommend you experiment with your electives and participate in cross-cultural events as those are a lot of fun. Tips: I initially found it tricky to settle into the college mainly because I did not have a bank account or a credit card which could be used here since most of the transactions that take place are cashless. Hence, when you get time to settled on campus, make sure you book an appointment with a local bank and the student services who will be very helpful at this time. Side from this, the students are very supportive and the campus hosts a number of sporting events which are very popular here. Finally, it has been a wonderful experience and I am very satisfied with the experiences.

Tips: The food habits and managing finance are two things I notice that are very different from my home country. Having said that once you get habituated, it is not a big deal to survive. UC Davis has very good TA opportunities and other scholarships that can be utilised for paying the bills and fees. I am very satisfied with my university and the course I am taking. The research opportunities are good. UC Davis has a great bicycle culture. So you will not see much vehicle pollution in Davis. It is a calm and serene college town.

Tips: The engineering and economics programs are renowned here and my program in particular, is quite challenging but also equally rewarding. My class is competitive, so relative grading is a bit of a disadvantage here and there are scholarships which one can secure if they have gotten at least 92% in 12th along with some extra-curriculars to show. All in all, it is a good place to learn and I would recommend it to others.
