Master of Science in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2027
4.2
A demanding but rewarding experience at Politecnico Di Milano.
Tips: Before joining Politecnico di Milano, students should know that courses are demanding and require self-discipline. Basic Italian helps a lot in daily life outside the university. The education system is different, with more focus on independent learning. Transition will be challenging but manageable. I got the DSU scholarship, which covers 95% of your expenses throughout your university journey.
Likes (Safety): My overall experience in Milan has been very positive in terms of feeling secure. The city is generally peaceful, and I have not faced any situations where I felt unsafe, even when travelling alone at night. Public transport is well managed and feels safe for use. Politecnico di Milano also takes student safety seriously. One thing I would suggest is that you be a bit more attentive to your belongings when you are at some tourist places, as I have heard about snatching incidents, but I have never witnessed any.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Living in Milan has many positives, like a good work-life balance, rich culture, global-level interactions, and a peaceful lifestyle. The cost of living is quite high, so this can be difficult, especially for students. Another important factor is language barrier. Without adequate Italian, it can be challenging to find part-time work or even jobs after completing your degree, as it limits access to many opportunities, even if you have strong qualifications. My chance of permanent settlement depends on my ability to improve my Italian skills, and if I find any good opportunities, I think I will take them without thinking twice.

Most part-time jobs require fluent Italian, which is difficult for an international students.
Tips: Being very academically focused means that you will need to study for more than 8 hours a day. Most part-time jobs in and outside campus require fluent Italian, which is not possible for an international student. Some students here do try to deliver food as a part-time job, which is a bit hard, but the pay is good. Most students are eligible for full scholarships. I got a DSU full scholarship, which provides for my accommodation, college fees, and food. The catch is that I have to satisfy a yearly credit requirement. If I don’t, I will have to pay for everything they provided up to that point.

Master of Science in Production Engineering and Management - Batch of 2026
Offered by KTH Royal Institute of Technology
4.2
Technicalities, invention and innovation.
Tips: Before planning to join this university you should have better grades in your Bachelors as getting into KTH is not as easy as it is one of the top technical universities in the world. We have to change ourselves after our arrival here especially in terms of food, culture and lifestyle. Getting a scholarship is a stuffed thing here. If any incidents happen inside the campus they will be covered by the insurance provided by the university. If anything happens outside then you should be covered with insurance before your arrival. Transportation is available for 24 hours so you can travel even during nights without any hesitation as the cameras are installed in the vehicles. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with my choice of choosing KTH as my destination for my master's.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Even though many Indian restaurants are available they are too costly when compared to Swedish restaurants. You should learn a few things to cook as it will be fun and make you feel at home at least as I say. A lot of stores are available so, there won't be a problem with spices, snacks, and other groceries.

MSc Smart Electrical Networks and Systems (EIT InnoEnergy) - Batch of 2022
Offered by KTH Royal Institute of Technology
4.2
The best university for electrical engineering and amazing professors with industry knowledge.
Tips: Before joining this college, students should be well-prepared in the basics and familiar with tools like Matlab. They should also be good at Python, as they will be required to complete assignments using Python and Matlab. In addition, students should be proficient in data analytics and presentation, as well as have good report-writing skills. The professors at this university were world-class and had written many books. The coursework was challenging and required a lot of critical thinking. The PhD program had a lot of high-quality output. Sometimes you could work on projects with PhD students. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the course, university and the country.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There is only one canteen on campus, and it is located in the library. It offers a limited selection of food. There is a Taiwanese restaurant across the street from the university, but it is expensive. Fortunately, you can cook your own meals in the kitchen in your room and pack a lunch.

Sustainability and Innovation are at the core of KTH Royal Institute.
Tips: It's a beautiful city, the English language is spoken here in contrast to other European countries. There is more system based approach to teaching rather than pure science. Very accommodating for international students, a great platform for meeting people and pushing innovations. However, weather, the cold, and short/ long days can be very difficult to adjust to initially.

MSc Smart Electrical Networks and Systems (EIT InnoEnergy) - Batch of 2022
Offered by KTH Royal Institute of Technology
3.9
Marvelous research based university.
Tips: Students should know that the knowledge level transition is very significant. There are no scholarships. Overall, I am very much satisfied with the university course but the director's reach is very slow and sometimes not guiding well and it is very casual especially since the MSc SENSE course planning was not that good but the courses are very good with the professor's knowledge.
Likes (Safety): I felt safe on campus because everything was well organized, and there was support from student organizations. Sweden is a good country that is well-developed. However, the university did not provide any dedicated safety guides, assuming that students could handle themselves.
Dislikes (Internships): Sometimes it is very difficult to find internships and no guidance is given for the internships. There are no webinars regarding the internships. We need to search for internships. Sometimes professors can be impressed and can get the opportunity.
