Good place for growth.
Tips: Santa Clara provides a balance of academics and ethics along the way. You can learn a lot if you are proactive and my experience included learning outside of classrooms as well. People are friendly and politically correct so you'll have to be respectful as well. Good place for those interested in technical fields although the job scenario is unpredictable. A lot of independence is expected from students as well but part time jobs on campus are limited so be quick to act if you're interested.

Enriching experience here.
Tips: Very supportive environment and everyone plays a role in your education here. The city is quite safe and peaceful with plenty of Indian restaurants and items available but the rent near campus can be a bit much. Not worth coming without a scholarship or work possibilities.
Likes (Safety): I've never really had to worry too much about safety while on campus. The space is enclosed and there's an app for emergencies and alerts. The campus shuttle also works till late and I've spent hours in the library and left at 1 am absolutely fine and safe.

Good place for a college experience.
Tips: My first impression about the university was that its campus is quite charming and the community is close knit yet welcoming. Adequate Indian representation and the international student services organise a lot of mixers and events which help in socialising. Good for teaching exposure although placements could be better.

Great student life in California.
Tips: The lessons and teaching style were very different from what I was used to. Here the interaction is way more multifaceted and assignments expect a lot of originality and creativity especially if you are pursuing a liberal arts degree. The weather is slightly dry but beautiful almost all year long and the Indian student community is very strong and present. Keep an eye out for deadline and campus events.

Great place to grow as a person.
Tips: Coursework here is challenging and heavily application based. The learning environment is supportive and engaging and you're expected to think out of the box. The best thing about SCU is the location as you're right in the hub of teach. Cost of rent and living is quite high so consider coming if you have strong internship or job prospects here.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Great professors and very involved faculty. I have greatly enjoyed my lessons and learnt way more than I had anticipated because of them and what I like the most is that they bring very real and relevant experience to the table which helps in giving us a real image of what to expect after university.

Good for STEM exposure.
Tips: Santa Clara has a very widespread student community and there are students from all over the country and the world giving you a very wide perspective on things. I got a scholarship based on merit and that helped cover some part of the tuition which can otherwise be a little expensive. Placements can be tricky but being near Silicon Valley can be a huge asset.

My life in California.
Tips: The culture here is very fascinating and people both in and outside of the university are very hardworking. Lots of acceptance and diversity, so plenty of Indian representation, especially in terms of festivals, food and more. Some parts of the city are more expensive, especially when it comes to rent, so be prepared, and there are a lot of networking prospects if you find like minded individuals.

My college experience has been a great one. The faculty are nice and always ready to help.
Tips: Since I live and commute from outside off campus, the traffic and time can be a bit overwhelming. It does make me feel like I am missing out on a lot going on on campus. To compensate, I have joined some of the clubs that help me feel involved and engaged. Engage with your peers and enrol in outside-of-classroom programs to experience true learning.

Tips: The diversity is commendable and you're sure to find your tribe. There are a number of mental health resources that have been helpful for me and you can take advantage of these as they respect your autonomy and have truly been helpful. I have also observed that our classes focus on social responsibility along with core courses which certainly has impacted the campus in a good way. Tips: I have liked the accommodation and university quite a bit so far but I feel there could have been more options for meal plans especially as I am a vegetarian and it can become tricky to find more options. There are a lot of inter-college games that keep happening and is fun to look forward to. Sign up for a variety of different courses so you can get an organic experience. Tips: One of the key reasons why I have joined Santa Clara University is because of the freedom I get to experiment and explore my passion such as the environment by joining the environment club. There are a lot of environment drives and campaigns and you will get a variety of networking opportunities through activities such as this. The faculty here are very helpful, and interactive and will suggest and guide you to take part in several activities to grow. Overall, I am happy with my experience.

The city is expensive but beautiful.
Tips: Campus is beautiful as is the city but it's not what it used to be a decade or so ago. Things have changed and a lot of people are moving out because of the lack of jobs and stability especially as an international student. Professors are sympathetic and knowledgable and people around are impressive as well. They can help you out with referrals and recommendations as well. Keep in mind the living costs before committing.

Strong internship support with room for improvement.
Tips: The campus is very good, and it has a strong academic environment. The university is research-focused. The support for internships is good, but there is definitely room for improvement in that area. This is a good school, and in this area, I think it's the best. The career fairs and job fairs provide a good way to find internships, and the school provides a lot of support. It's cool that Career Connect can help students find good internships and help students with their resumes.

Tips: I came here with a number of expectations and the university did not disappoint. The community abroad is friendly, inclusive, yet individualistic, so it's important that you learn how to respect boundaries while also involving yourself in activities and sports that would give you a real sense of the college spirit. The engineering programs have some renewed faculty, and students are encouraged to think out of the box and participate as much as they can. Lots of learning and growth with diverse faculty and supportive peers.
Tips: The culture of Colorado is extremely immersive even though it takes a while to settle in so I would recommend one to arrive on campus before the orientation so they can truly understand what is needed and what to expect. As an undergrad, your SAT scores can determine whether you get in or not but once you've arrived, you are expected to contribute to society in non-academic ways as well which makes this truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The faculty are helpful and understanding so feel free to reach out to them in case of any queries or doubts. Also, try to contribute in classes and be creative. It’s a good university but it is very difficult to find part time and internship.
Tips: You will need to hustle a lot for internships and part-time as there are many international students and foreigners and it's quite competitive. I recommend starting searching for it as soon as you come to the university and from the first day of your classes only. The country and the university are quite safe because of the continuous patrolling and security presence. There are security guards at the train station and emergency security guards on campus, which helps students feel safe and surrounded by people.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are very few part-time jobs available, and students are quite competitive. Even internships are hard to come by. If you don't get an internship, you might have to pay extra for summer classes.

A multicultural learning hub in Downtown Denver
Tips: I have started interacting with people from diverse backgrounds. This has made me more confident. People here enjoy privacy and usually like to be left alone. You need to maintain basic etiquette in public spaces. You need to follow rules all the time. I am getting a stipend for the role of teaching assistant. I got the role by contacting my graduate advisor. I am satisfied with the course and university because of the personalized attention that professors give me. They help you to really learn and become successful.
Likes (Indian Food): There are Mexican, Indian, Chinese, and Thai joints almost everywhere. Downtown Denver has many fast-food chains as well. I cook on weekdays. i.e outside once a week. The cost of per meal outside for one person is around $10 to $20. You also get a variety of food stores within the campus.
Dislikes (Value for money): The tuition fees is on the higher side for international students. Each 3-credit course is around $4200. The average cost per semester is around $12000. However, students can manage the cost with part-time work and scholarships. Students have access to various facilities such as a gym, library, printing services, medical services etc.

Eventful University experience wrapped in decent city vibes.
Tips: Though the University experience is decent, getting scholarships or financial aid is a little tricky here. The first semester, especially if you do not know anyone here could be challenging to figure out things. Denver as a city is nice, and worth the living cost.
Likes (Indian Food): There are a handful of Indian restaurants and grocery stores. I prefer cooking by myself. There are also Middle Eastern places that serve good food. Konark Grocers has all Indian grocery items including vegetables, biscuits and snacks.
Dislikes (Internships): To secure an internship, one needs to actively apply from the second semester onwards. Though there are career fairs at school, the applying part is totally on the student. We have a career center that helps with resumes. Not much guidance is provided by the University.
