Good experience with lots of learnings.
Tips: Texas is a very widespread campus with diverse students and faculty and you'll not take too long to adjust. People are easy going and classes are experiential with multi faceted conversations forming a central theme. In terms of post graduation work opportunities, things are becoming increasingly restrictive, but if you form good connections with your professors, you can avail benefits in the form of LORs and projects and even use them as references.

Tips: You should be prepared to be in the midst of a lot of activity and hustle and bustle, as this is a very happening campus. There are people from all parts of the world, so keep your interactions culturally aware and mindful. Classes are not easy going and a lot of independent thinking will be required out of the textbooks. The job market is increasingly competitive and applications start months in advance.

Tips: My transition was gradual, and all my inhibitions and worries disappeared quite quickly after being on campus for at least two to three weeks. The campus is full of life and quite outdoorsy as well, so if you have wished to pick up a sport, you have the perfect opportunity to do so here. Rent is more reasonable here compared to a lot of other cities, and in class grading is subject to various parameters, not simply your performance on exams. This also depends on your classes and professors and what their basis of grading is.

Tips: Everything here is truly an experience, and courses are very research-oriented. Networking opportunities and practical exposure are a big plus, and the community is very student-oriented. Tips: The campus is very accepting, and there are plenty of international students as well. Try to be a part of the campus events and games to get a sense of the Texas state culture. There are research positions on campus, fewer outside. The admission process is fairly straightforward, and I managed to get an early admission, which made my decision quite easy. There are also plenty of Indian restaurants around; in fact, some of the popular ones are right around campus.

Tips: Texas State is a very big, diverse and happening university, so it is easy to get a little astray, but the level of competencies required is high to cope. Limited part-time opportunities, but scholarships are available if you have a solid SOP and a decent GPA. Friendly state, but try not to get too caught up in the chaos.

Tips: Texas State is a very social and fun-loving university. There's a lot to expect when you come here, and a lot of things that constantly happen in and around campus. Learn how to manage your time and finances, as no one else is gonna do it for you. Professors are helpful, but expect quality work in return, and you will have to advocate for yourself when you need help, as learning is not what it's like back home. Job prospects have become limited, so only come here if you see value in the long term; otherwise, don't waste your money.

Part-time jobs are not available for international students.
Tips: Culture shifts are there, but Texas has a lot of Indian representation, so at least your culture is somewhat reserved, and there are food options and Indian restaurants around. Part-time jobs are not for international students so you'll have to rely on saving and budgeting instead. I received a merit based scholarship which ease out the cost of tuition a bit although the cost of living isn't covered. Lots of parties and events are constant here throughout the year so you can expect a breather when classes get too hectic.

Tips: Be prepared for a lot of walking and socialising, while often feeling rushed. International students support each other, and though homesickness is normal, you'll adjust faster than you think. Learning and growth has been constant.
Tips: So the courses and academics are quite difficult which I had naturally expected but some of the professors can be really demanding which makes it really hard to balance at times. You can also your student ID to get a number of discounts such as during grocery shopping, at tourist locations and most importantly while computing. There are many events as well held on campus so do participate in it. Overall, I am quite with my experience here.

Tips: I feel that studying at Florida International University has been transformative for me both personally and academically. This transformation has been consistent as well. Tips: There are very limited options for transportation so prepare to have everything (groceries) delivered or buy a car.
Getting things delivered is not as expensive, I currently use Walmart + which is $100 a year and you get free shipping, free grocery deliveries, and other perks
Likes (Value for money): This school is full of international students and they offer a variety of funding options such as scholarships, jobs, paid volunteering, etc.
Besides, compared to other 4-year universities FIUs price tuition is relatively inexpensive. I would argue that you are even getting more for your money
Dislikes (Indian Food): They don’t have many Mexican options but they do have Latin American foods throughout the campus.
They have many fast food places such as Starbucks, dunkin, chick fil A, Taco Bell, and many others throughout the campus. They also have their own food court which offers pasta, wok bowls, salad bar, desserts, etc.
