Good Education, Tough Job Market.
Tips: The transition was difficult at first. Adapting to an independent lifestyle, a new academic system, and a language took time. Finding accommodation was the biggest challenge, but I was glad to get a dorm later. I did not avail of any scholarship. I'm quite satisfied with my university, course, and country. TUM offers good academic exposure, and Germany provides good opportunities if you have strong German language skills and relevant experience. The job market is currently challenging, though.
Likes (Value for money): Value for money still gets a full 5/5 from me, even with Munich’s notoriously high rent and TUM’s non-EU tuition fees. You're paying more than at other German universities, but the return on investment is massive. The network here is unreal—direct links to giants like BMW, Siemens, and tech startups mean you get top-tier working student (Werkstudent) roles while studying. Combined with world-class campus facilities and instant global brand recognition on your resume, every euro spent feels justified.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Getting a job (including Werkstudent) mostly depends on your German language skills; B2 is the minimum for my field. University reputation does not guarantee a job. There is also no direct campus placement system like in India, so students need to apply independent. Having relevant work experience can help a bit.

Learn the language for a career
Tips: The main difference is knowing the language. If you learn and come here, everything becomes easy. If not, it is very difficult to get jobs and network. I don't know much about the scholarships. I am satisfied with everything, but the job market is very hard.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Very approachable, a little late in replying. Mostly theoretical teaching. Very diverse and qualified. It is very difficult to pass the exams if we leave everything to the last minute. It's very hard to find a thesis professor if it's not planned well. The 1st year is pretty standard. In the 3rd semester you can choose your seminars, and the 4th semester is thesis work. You can extend another 2 semesters.
Dislikes (Part time work): There aren't many on-campus jobs. Off-campus jobs are hard to get due to language. If we have a part-time job, it is easy to manage because it's only 20 hours. The minimum payout is 13.90. Average 15 euros. The main difference is learning the language. It will take around an average of 1 year to get a working student.

TUM: looks fancy on paper, but can get stressful really fast.
Tips: This is not an easy place to be. I would really advise thinking twice about joining TUM. Academics are genuinely pretty hard. I wouldn’t say that I’m satisfied with my decision; however, if I do complete it, the rewards are still substantial. However, if I knew what I know now while making my decision, I probably would’ve headed somewhere else.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is pretty good all across Europe. Trains connect all parts pretty well. Accessibility-wise, I’d give it a full score; however, reaching places does take time, and the German transportation system has historically always been subject to delays.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I’m from India, and I must say that Indian food options are pretty mediocre at best in Munich. There are many Indians running these restaurants; however, taste gets lost in translation, and you end up with bland, unseasoned, and sometimes even incorrect versions of the food. For example, I got some naan from a highly reviewed restaurant, and it was about a centimeter thick and raw.

Tips: Extremely satisfied with the university. Getting into TUM is easy, but graduation is hard. You get a maximum duration of 8 semesters where you have to complete 180 ECTS; otherwise you're exmatriculated and barred from pursuing that study program anywhere else in the country.
Likes (Indian Food): Amazing Indian restaurants available. Many Indian stores also sell Indian snacks. I prefer eating outside or cooking for myself here and there. I love the food and beer scene in Munich in general. Also a big enough Indian diaspora to go out together to eat some local butter chicken :).
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The German job market, and the overall European market in general, are experiencing a downturn. Would recommend new students find working student jobs and try to get a permanent position after graduation. Many teach roles available at legacy companies, and many automobile giants have their headquarters in Munich.

TU Munich Bachelor Informatik review
Tips: If you're joining TUM for Informatik (Computer Science), the biggest piece of advice is to tackle housing months before your semester starts. Munich’s rental market is brutal, private student dorms fill up fast, and the Studierendenwerk dorm waitlist can take several semesters. Start hunting on WG-Gesucht as soon as you get your admission offer.
On the academic side, TUM’s Informatik curriculum is world-class, but it’s exceptionally rigorous. You'll be spending most of your time out at the Garching campus, and passing initial orientation exams (GOP) requires serious effort from day one. To help with Munich's high cost of living, definitely apply for the Deutschlandstipendium—it’s 300€ a month and provides a huge financial cushion if you land it. Overall, the degree is intense, but the reputation and career doors it opens are well worth it.

My experience at Technical University of Munich - inside and outside the campus.
Tips: Munich is an expensive city, plus the introduction of very high tuition fees for non-EU students is really difficult to manage. Always look for alternative universities with similar courses and scholarships as well. TUM is also a bit hectic with the classes.
Likes (Public transportation): We have many different types of public transport, and they are very reliable. In case some line is not working, replacement buses are provided. The frequency of metros, suburban trains, buses, and trams is also very good. There are night buses and trams also available. You don't need to walk more than 10 minutes for the nearest public transport.
Dislikes (Value for money): Because it's really expensive and most part-time jobs require German. Also, 6000 euros a semester (1000 a month) plus 1000 euros on living expenses is really a big financial burden. Sometimes it feels like going and settling in a smaller city would have been a better option.

TU Munich and Life in Germany
Tips: A lot of things change after you step out of your comfort zone, your home. There is definitely a huge cultural shift, unlike India. The food, the weather, the people you meet, the place you live and share and most importantly, the language. Everything here is in German: road signs, grocery, announcements, etc. Knowing a little bit of knowledge in advance helps a lot and makes things easier! I didn't avail myself of any scholarships, as my university didn't charge any fee for the degree; however, DAAD offers information about all the courses, their admission requirements, all universities, as well as the scholarships available and their deadlines. Germany in general loves paperwork, so if you are interested, brace yourself, as you'll need a lot of documentation to apply. I am personally grateful that I chose this university, as it gave a lot of opportunities to work in different settings, from academic labs to company internships to hospital experience. I worked everywhere and also had the freedom to choose what I wanted to study which subjects to take and what to major in for my degree! It was a wholesome experience! I would definitely recommend it!
Likes (Quality of faculty): You can always approach the faculty during the lecture period and also afterwards regarding internship opportunities; however, you have to be aware, as there is a lot of competition. The teaching method that I personally admire is them giving real-time information on the recent research and the work done, rather than a typical syllabus method where interactive learning happens because of the curiosity! They offer some diversity with mostly German teachers along with guest speakers and lecturers from all over the world.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I gave post-study jobs a low rating because even though Germany is supposed to have great career prospects, actually landing a job after graduating is a massive uphill battle. People think having TUM on their resume means companies will just fight over them because of the uni's huge reputation and industry ties, but that’s not how it works at all—you still have to grind incredibly hard. Everything boils down to your German fluency, how much past experience you have, and honestly, how bad the market is at the moment. Most of the roles you end up seeing are things like research assistants, lab scientists, tech assistants, or maybe project coordination if you get lucky. Plus, the starting pay usually hovers around €43k to €55k depending on where you land, which isn't mind-blowing considering how insanely expensive it is to live in Munich while you're hunting for work.

Its a Great University and a great course.
Tips: Must learn German at least B1/2 before coming to Germany in general. Cities are much cleaner and more organized. Prices might look way higher on groceries. Satisfied with everything, but the job market is too bad, and getting a job is extremely hard, so be prepared for this.
Likes (Public transportation): It's great! A 49 euro ticket is enough to travel anywhere inside the state. For students it's a really good travel option. Trains, trams, buses, U-bahns, and S-bahns are available options, and all important places are very well connected with great frequencies of transport.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Food is just a variety of breads here. You really miss Indian food, sweets, and snacks here. I generally cook for myself, as it's way cheaper and tastier. Most of the groceries are available in local markets, but if you need Indian dal and spices, you need to get them from Indian markets, which are a bit farther.

TUM -Every student's dream university
Tips: Honestly, making the move out here was pretty smooth overall, but you definitely need a minute to adjust to the local way of doing things. Getting used to that legendary German punctuality and the incredibly blunt, direct communication style is a real trip at first and takes some serious getting used to. On the financial side, I was lucky enough to snag a merit-based scholarship through my home institution back home, which takes a massive weight off your shoulders. Looking back, I’m seriously happy with choosing the Biology Master's program at the TUM Freising campus. The research opportunities out here are absolutely top-tier, and the whole student environment is incredibly international, so you never feel like the odd one out while you're grinding through your lab work.

The academic setup here is an entirely different beast compared to what we're used to in the Indian education system—there’s zero rote learning or spoon-feeding. Because this is a top-tier technical university, the entire focus is stripped back to pure research and hardcore technical applications. You’ve got to be prepared to shift your whole mindset from just passing exams to actually understanding how to apply the theory in a lab or a project, otherwise, the fast pace will leave you behind.

Tips: I was awarded the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship and got the information via the internet. I am very much satisfied with the university, but the course could be more in-depth. I have transitioned a lot with the system, day-to-day life, by observing the people and learning from them.
Likes (Student Life): In the morning we would attend the lectures and then mostly chill out or catch up with friends, doing project work or part-time job depending on the schedule. There are a lot of student clubs and communities where people can participate. The course also has a WhatsApp group that organizes a few events.
Dislikes (Internships): You need to find your own internship via applying directly on the company portal. There are a few positions also posted on the university page or via email. Yes, you can get the internship in the field of study. Sometimes it's easy to get the internship if you know German.

Fulfilling University Experience with Personal Growth
Tips: I have transitioned a lot. I have experienced a huge cultural shift. I have become more disciplined and independent. No, I had no scholarships. I applied on my own through the portals (no agent involved). I am fully satisfied with the educational prospect of my university. It provided me with a lot of internships and practical courses. Germany can make you feel lonely, but then you learn a lot about yourself. Overall, I am happy with whatever this country has offered.
Likes (Indian Food): Now we have 100s of options for Indian food! There is no scarcity of Indian restaurants or Indian grocery stores. In the locality, the food prices range from 15 to 20 euro/meal for one person. Depending on your location you can find all different cuisines but Asian and Turkish are the prominent ones. I prefer eating inside and I like to cook my own food.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Since the job market is currently going through a rough phase (due to the geopolitical situation), securing a full-time job is not an easy task. We do have more than 500 companies offering sponsor visas for work. Research associate—45000-50k/year (gross); technician/lab assistant—38k-42k (gross) per year.

Tips: Students should know TUM is academically demanding and Munich is one of the most expensive cities to live in, so plan their studies and finance well. Transition is quite smooth as German culture is more independent and punctual. I was admitted in the W-2023 intake which led to tuition feels being < 100/semester. Overall, I'm more than satisfied with TUM, my course and Germany.
Likes (Public transportation): TUM is well connected by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, Tram and Bus. Travel is convenient across Munich and Germany. Students get a discounted Deutschlandticket, around 43/month in 2026, making transport affordable. Kudos to Deutsche Bahn or rather Delay Bahn.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part-time jobs at TUM/Munich are available but very competitive. On-campus HiWi roles are limited, require German and off-campus roles are cumbersome. TUM academics are heavily demanding, so work is hard to manage. The average pay is 15/hr.

Likes (Public transportation): There are student discounts for all of the tickets we buy for travel. I needed around 200-300 euros per 6 months for buying the ticket for travel in Munich. There is also a day trip ticket, a weekly ticket and hour based tickets, Bayern ticket etc for facilitating travel.
Dislikes (Part time work): German knowledge is a must. It becomes difficult to secure a spot in most part time jobs without that. The part time position can be done up to 20 hours per week and the pay depends on whether it is technical or non technical. Takes a few months to secure a job.

Tips: TUM is a highly demanding academically and the students who want to join needs to keep that in mind. With the new fees it is also competitive and expects students to be proactive. There are many research projects, collaborations, job fairs and events but you must actively seek them out. You also need to improve your networking as you will surely meet international students and they will be your support systems until your collage life. The TUM degree will surely offer excellent resources and career prospects but depends largely your initiative and willingness to learn the language as well as stepping outside your comfort zone
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport is one of the best way to travel to and from the university. As the university is in the middle of the city, there are lot of option for travelling. It is also inexpensive as there is a Germany wide ticket that can be brought at student prices.
Dislikes (Internships): In Germany, universities generally do not provide structured guidance or support for internships, as there are not a mandatory requirement. However, students who are interested in pursuing one must find opportunities independently. For these positions, there are numerous job fairs and similar events that help students connect with potential employers.

Hardships for a better future.
Tips: Cultural shift will be there for food and lifestyle but it's not difficult to get used to that. I did not avail any scholarship but people can apply for that and can get up to 300 euros/month. I'm very satisfied with my university, course and the country definitely.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): For the current regulations of the German government its easier to get permanent immigration because now you have to stay at least 5 years for that including your Master's degree so you can work after your degree for 2 years or 3, then you can apply for citizenship here.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Not all companies will do that, also German language is compulsory for that but you can also learn it within 8 months at least up to B2 levels, Analyst or Research Assistant posts are offered with 2000/ month for my course in Biology but if you go into technical lies that's also possible.

A Practical and International Learning Experience in the Heart of Frankfurt
Tips: Before joining Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, students should understand that it is a university of applied sciences (Fachhochschule), so the teaching has a strong practical and application-oriented focus. The university currently has more than 15,000 students from over 100 nations, four faculty members, and around 72 degree programs. This makes the environment quite international and diverse. One important thing to know is that studying in Germany requires a lot of self-responsibility. Professors are generally supportive, but you cannot expect them to constantly remind you about assignments, exams, or deadlines. You have to keep track of everything yourself and take responsibility for your studies. For international students, I would also strongly recommend learning at least some German, even if your program is taught in English. Frankfurt is a very international city, but German becomes important for everyday life, dealing with authorities, finding certain jobs, and communication outside the university. Another major point is finance. Frankfurt is an expensive city. Frankfurt UAS itself states that students should realistically plan around €1,000–€1,200 per month for living expenses, in addition to the semester contribution. There are no regular tuition fees at the university, but students still need to budget carefully for accommodation, health insurance, food, transportation, and other expenses.

Balanced and Supportive institute to experience new paths
Tips: Before coming to Frankfurt UAS, the main thing to know is that they do a really solid job of getting you settled in right from day one. Their orientation setup (Einführungswoche) is well-organized—they take you on campus tours, walk you through all the labs, library systems, and facilities, and break down how to handle your course registration so you're not totally lost.
When it comes to financial support, there are actually quite a few scholarship avenues depending on your academic record or background, like the Deutschlandstipendium or DAAD funding opportunities, which can take a huge chunk of financial stress off your shoulders. As for the academics, the curriculum is well-structured, but keep in mind that many programs lean quite broad and generalist rather than super-niche. It gives you a strong, versatile foundation across multiple core areas, but if you want to specialize heavily in one specific subfield, you'll need to use your elective modules and practical projects to carve out that focus yourself.
Likes (Indian Food): We have plenty of restaurants with Indian food options with minimum rates of 10 euros, as well as Asian and Indian grocery shops. Generally I prefer to cook the food at home, and also we make arrangements where friends meet together at one's house and have small get-togethers.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are a number of companies available for computer science fields, but it depends on getting a job and how good you are with German. In Frankfurt, there are so many options to work part-time along with studying, and basic pay starts with a minimum of 13-15 euros per hour.

A rewarding Academic and Student Life Experience
Tips: If you're heading to Frankfurt UAS, the biggest thing you need to wrap your head around is the sheer level of independence expected here. Coming into the German academic system is a real culture shock at first. Nobody is going to hold your hand, remind you of project deadlines, or chase you down for assignments—you are 100% responsible for your own schedule, registration, and exam prep.
Navigating German bureaucracy (Bürokratie) for things like your residence permit (Ausländerbehörde), health insurance, and uni registration takes a serious amount of patience and adjustment. I paid full price for my degree without any scholarships, but looking back, I'm genuinely glad I did it. The hands-on, practical style of the courses at Frankfurt UAS combined with living in such a vibrant, central city makes the steep learning curve completely worth it. Once you get past that initial wave of admin stress, overall life here is fantastic.
Likes (Student Life): I gave student life a full 5 out of 5 because the vibe on campus completely surprised me in the best way possible. A lot of people think studying engineering or business in Germany is just pure grind and no fun, but Frankfurt UAS actually gets the balance right. The professors are super approachable, so working late on team projects in the labs never feels like a nightmare.
Outside the classroom, there’s always something going on. You’ve got people from over a hundred different countries here, so whether you’re grabbing a cheap lunch at the Mensa, hitting up the international student nights, or joining one of the tech clubs, it’s ridiculously easy to build a solid group of friends. Plus, being right in the heart of Frankfurt means you can easily jump on the U-Bahn after lectures and head straight into the city for networking events or just to hang out by the Main River. It really feels like a proper community where you’re learning a lot without burning out.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I gave post-study job opportunities a middle-of-the-road 3 out of 5 because the language barrier is a huge reality check here. You’d think being in a massive global financial hub like Frankfurt would mean tons of English-speaking roles, but that's just not how the local market works. Almost every solid entry-level job or corporate position requires C1 or even fluent native-level German.
If you only speak English, your options get cut down drastically to a few niche startup roles or international supply chain gigs, which are insanely competitive. Frankfurt UAS gives you a solid applied education, but the degree alone won't bypass the language requirement. Unless you’re actively grind-learning German alongside your studies, getting your foot in the door after graduation is an uphill battle.

Tips: Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences is a little bit hard for Indian students because of your writing exam assignment submission and oral exam, so as an Indian student, it’s a little bit difficult. And when you come to Germany, before you learn at least the B1 GERMAN language, I highly recommend learning the German language without the German language. You can’t find your dream job, and also you can’t find a student job.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): When it comes to permanent immigration, I rated it highly because the pathway from being a student here to getting your permanent residency (PR) is incredibly straightforward. Look at the reality of day-to-day student life while doing a Master's at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences: the fact that the state provides tuition-free education completely removes the financial dread you’d face in places like the UK or the US. On top of that, our semester ticket covers free public transportation, which is huge when you're living in a major transit hub like Frankfurt.
Because you aren't drowning in massive tuition debt, balancing your classes with a part-time job is actually manageable rather than an exhausting nightmare. And since FRA-UAS is right in the heart of Frankfurt, you are surrounded by endless corporate offices, banks, and startups, meaning finding a solid Werkstudent role is super easy. Germany isn't just taking your money and kicking you out; they actually want to keep you here. By the time you graduate, you’ve already integrated, saved money, and built local work experience. Once you transition into a full-time job after your Master's, the clock to permanent residency ticks way faster, making the whole immigration setup an absolute jackpot.
Dislikes (Safety): The German government provides every student free education as well as free transportation for students, and when you complete your master's degree and bachelor's degree, you definitely get your dream job, but the main thing is you must learn at least B1 German language.

Frankfurt is a great place to live and study.
Tips: Be ready for hard work. Submit the assignments on time. Late submissions are not considered. Study regularly and keep your mind engaged in winter, as winters are tough. Going to lectures, then going to the library, and going to the cafe for a coffee sometimes. A fresher party is organised whenever a new batch joins, especially in winter. I like to study as well as party, then it's a great place for such students, but also keep in mind only come if you're serious about doing Master's.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The is only one food canteen here in the University, where people can come for breakfast and lunch. There are some cafes in the nearby building, and one in the architecture building. There are shops nearby by like Rewe, Lidl, where you can buy groceries as well, ready to go in Rewe.

Students should select universities preferably in a city to have more opportunities for work.
Tips: The studying pattern is totally different. They should study regularly if they want to pass the examination. Last minute studies dont help.
I am quite satisfied with the university. We had ample opportunities for internships or part time jobs. But you have to search for it yourself. The university is not responsible for jobs or internships.
Likes (Internships): There are job fairs hosted by the univ, you have to submit a resume in case you are interested.
Possibly, there could also be interviews if someone really likes your profile.
Other than that, you could apply through LinkedIn or other job search engines.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are a lot of Indian restaurants, but as a student, you cannot afford them since they are too costly.
For eg, dal tadka is priced at 13€, which is about Rs. 1300. Most of my Indian friends preferred cooking for ourselves than eating out. It is cost efficient.

Great learning experience.
Tips: The subjects are tough and need to put constant effort to clear the exams. It can't be done by studying overnight like in India. Exams will be in such a way that they test if we have understood the concepts. I had more Indians in my course, so I had good company but it also led to some problems.
Likes (Indian Food): Because Frankfurt is a big city, it has options for Indian food. But cost wise cooking by ourselves is economical. When compared to small cities, Frankfurt has options for all Asian foods. But it will be costlier and won't taste as good as India. Once in a while is okay.
Dislikes (Internships): There are many options, but unlike in India, companies don't come to campus. You have to apply and find them. I landed an internship with the help of my professor. Based on my performance, I was offered a master's thesis topic in the company itself, Daimler Trucks.

Germany has the best transportation system.
Tips: Coming to Germany is the best decision I've ever made. Of course like any other country, living alone gives you strength and independence. If you're someone who can adapt and enjoy exploring other cultures and systems, you'd definitely have fun. I didn't apply for any scholarships but there are many scholarships available for students. One has to research on their own to know about it. Very much satisfied.
Likes (Public transportation): Germany has the best transportation system. One can rely on public transportation for their whole life without the need to depend on cars, but the only thing needed is to be punctual and plan to travel in advance. The university was very well located in the central part of Frankfurt and there are various options like U bahn, Sbahn, trams and buses of course 24/7. And when it comes to cost, only 59 Deutschland tickets per month to be bought by anyone to travel all over Germany. And for students, the reduced/free fee will be paid along with the semester contribution. So it's very cheap.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): In terms of availability, of course, they're not always available and could be visited by taking an appointment just like any others in Germany. Teaching methodology could be felt very different, since they expect you to also learn some things before having those lectures and discuss if you're finding it difficult anywhere, that's a very practical way to learn something together. And it's definitely the best method so that everyone will put an effort to learn. In terms of diversity, there are no others except Germans, at least in my department.

It will be tough initially but if you can still adapt and learn.
Tips: Students should be aware that they gonna face difficulty in academic wise. Students don't have freedom of voice. Every day, a student survives with academic chaos. Unexpected results in academics lead to isolation from the university. Students face criticism a lot every day is a chaotic challenge.
If you bring up something to the professor, if that goes against anyone's point of view, then for sure that particular student will be targeted, pointed out, insulted, holding them back from academic. In this case, none of the students feels motivated.
The university provides insufficient practical knowledge.
Chaos on assignment deadlines, a lot of partiality in students. If you want to clear all academics, then you should be nice to the professor otherwise students gonna face a lot of downs in academics. More like revenge. Regarding culture shift, about social norms and lifestyle. I didn't apply for any scholarship.
Dislikes (Internships): Finding an internship bit difficult because the guidance from the university is limited. It's more on the student's responsibility to find / hunt for the vacancy. Most of the time, students struggle to find jobs they lose focus on academics.
From the university's point of view, they post availability in the German language, moreover, we don't have direct mail access notification. It's hard to catch notifications.
Most internships are available not familiar with the course of study and many opportunities are very general which is not useful.

Expertise for a master’s degree and studies.
Tips: There is a lot to learn and we need to collaborate with the people, they are very polite and dignified and they always try to ask questions or thoughts straight forward so be prepared. I missed the deadline for the scholarship so we need to apply very early. I am well satisfied with the university, course and country.
Likes (Safety): Apart from campus security, we have really good public security. We have police protection every few kilometres and there are some strict rules. We can even come out at midnight. There are a few migrants near the Bahnhof areas so be a bit careful there.
Dislikes (Internships): There are lots of internships available in our relevant field and we also have really good career guidance from the university. So use the university for the guidance but we need to apply very early and also we have some job marathons, make sure you don't miss them.

Great learning environment with room to improve.
Tips: A big cultural shift would be no supermarkets on Sundays. Usually education is free in Germany. I am so happy and proud that I made the decision to study Master's in Frankfurt University of Applied Science, Germany, as I learnt a lot from that. It was the best decision in my life.
Likes (Public transportation): The connection throughout the city is so good and the frequency is also nice. It's very comfortable to use public transportation. We have U-Bahn, Tram and Bus connections within the city and S-Bahn for outside of the city. Public transportation is free for students.
Dislikes (Part time work): Most of the students in Germany used to get 'WerkStudent' jobs which are like we can work 20 hours a week. So I did not hear anyone working on-campus part time jobs. McDonald's, KFC etc., opportunities are there for off-campus but you need German to deal with customers. It is very manageable, even though you have to go to college whole week, you still have time for part-time jobs. The pay usually starts with a minimum wage at most places for part-time jobs.

Amazing university and experience.
Tips: Before joining the college or the course it's better to know the subjects taught. Students will be able to download the subjects taught in the course via brochure which will be available on the website. And try to get in touch with the students who are already studying at the university to get a perspective on the university. Getting in touch with the seniors will help students prepare well for the subjects. Students will come to know which subject needs more effort and which don't need much.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The faculty at the university are very helpful and dedicated. The teaching methodology was first theory and then there will be practical sessions as well. All the faculty were from different nationalities, German, Italian Spanish etc. Teaching methodology of each professor is different.

Tips: Make sure you like the course structure and its relevance to your interests. It's going to be hard and make sure to be mentally prepared. Apply for part time as soon as you come here. Try to learn German. Try to equip yourself or else you will be under depression.
Likes (Public transportation): A semester ticket will give you the benefit of a DB ticket in which you can travel everywhere in Germany apart from ICE and other fast trains. In Germany, being a student, the biggest benefit is the DB ticket where we can travel everywhere for free with the ID card we have.
Dislikes (Value for money): The university is small and relies on a couple of professors. Too much diverse content where you won't be a master at anything but knowing everything. I feel like the Masters are currently getting not much of recognition in the German market. At the end, it's also like a degree but outside of India.

Easy and average courses. Good entry point in Germany.
Tips: To integrate in Germany, you need to learn German at least to B1, as it increases your job options. Public universities in Germany have free education, except for a minimal fee per semester for administrative work and transport. The country is good, depending on what kind of job you get and where you settle.
Likes (Public transportation): Germany has good public transport. The transport is available 24 hours and there is a monthly ticket which costs around 65 euros, with which you can use any public transport except IC and ICE. modes of public transport - buses, Ubhan, Trams, REs, RBs, IC, ICE, Sprinters. Travel between EU countries is fairly easy as well.
Dislikes (Part time work): The tech market in Germany/Europe is tough, there is more talent than the jobs. You should be able to do your college work in 20 -25 hours a week and you will be able to do 20 hours of part time work. If you know German, the options of part time work increase as it's easy to get a job in any place after that. Otherwise having a tech background and experience can help you get a job in any company and later it can be converted to a full time contract as well. On average, you can get 12-18 euros per hour during part time job, which is enough to make a living as a student per month.

The university and course are demanding and stressful.
Tips: The transition was a huge cultural shift; Indian and German cultures are very different. I didn't apply for scholarships. I am content with the country, but the university and course are demanding and stressful. However, if you can balance work, studies, and life, it will be manageable. You'll have a great experience if you understand their language and culture.
Likes (Public transportation): Tram lines run throughout the city. Every place is well-connected. There are also e-scooters stationed at various hotspots throughout the city. City trains and subway trains are also available throughout the city. If none of this works for you, Frankfurt also has buses in case of disruptions.
