On-campus paid part-time jobs are very limited and competitive.
Tips: There will be a significant cultural shift for those coming from India; from the weather to the people and food, everything is quite different and new in a positive way. UCD offers numerous scholarships, and students can apply through the online portals; I know many students who got them.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Public transportation in Dublin is good, with numerous buses serving the campus. A nearby D-ART station also makes the long commute easier for students. The campus is well-connected, and students can obtain a student Leap card valid for all public transport, costing just 1 euro for a single journey.
Dislikes (Part time work): On-campus paid part-time jobs are very limited and competitive. Most students, around 90% find jobs off-campus in retail, grocery stores, schools, etc. With this course, a 20-hour part-time job is manageable, with an average payout ranging from 12e to 15e.

Likes (Safety): I have never felt unsafe on campus. It's a welcoming environment, and everyone is treated equally, regardless of their country of origin. Irish people are very welcoming, and UCD has students from almost every country, treating everyone well.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I find food to be quite expensive. However, there are many options available, including several Indian restaurants. Personally, I prefer home-cooked meals, so I cook most of the time. I can find everything I need at affordable prices in stores like Tesco and Aldi.

Likes (Public transportation): The campus has an extensive road network. The 39a bus runs 24/7, and the S6 and S4 buses also operate within the campus. While the college is a bit outside the city centre, transportation to and from the college is good.
Dislikes (Internships): The MSc Information Systems program doesn't include an integrated internship, unlike other courses. While the college organises career events, I didn't find them particularly helpful. Ultimately, securing an internship is the student's responsibility, but the UCD Career Network provides useful information.

There are various clubs and societies for student well-being, and the UCD student union is very active and supportive.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transportation is good. 24/7 bus services. I particularly enjoy the Luas/Tram, which I find to be safe, well-organised, and affordable with a student Leap card. It connects to both the city and surrounding areas, and I can reliably use the buses daily, especially with the real-time tracking feature, which makes everything stress-free.
Dislikes (Internships): The recruiters prioritise EU citizens and students from specific courses with excellent skills. While there are decent industry links, and some programs offer placements dependent on faculty, many students secure internships independently. The support systems could be more robust and proactive.

Tips: It's a very diverse campus with friendly staff. I'm quite satisfied with the quality of teaching and staff overall. However, the course I took wasn't well-structured. As it was also for students without an IT background, it was quite basic to start with. There was more theory knowledge than practical application.
Likes (Safety): Very safe, and it's possible to walk around even late at night. There are guards at all major bus stops across the university after peak hours, and the same is true across the city. The luas have security and ticket checkers to ensure passenger safety and maintain discipline.
Dislikes (Internships): There isn't much assistance available for finding internships. Students need to search and apply independently. The college does have processes in place to review CVs, offer feedback, and conduct interview practice sessions. However, even securing an appointment is difficult, and it's easier for students in the Belfield campus compared to Smurfit.

Tips: UCD is a reputable university, and students who are coming for my course should consider having enough savings to survive for a minimum of 3 months because the starting 1st semester will be too hectic and you won't have time to work part-time. I did not avail of any scholarships. No one in my course got any scholarships. I am very much satisfied with my course, university and country.
Likes (Safety): There are boards displaying that bullying is offensive, and everyone here is friendly. There are lots of different societies here where you can easily reach out for help. There is a student union as well, where we can select someone as the president, and they later try to solve any problems we have. The city is against racism, and people here are friendly.
Dislikes (Internships): There are some opportunities available, but not a lot for our course. UCD offers proper internships to computer science negotiated learning students. It is student-driven; we have to find internships on our own from the career website of UCD. The available internships are relevant to my field of study.

Transition was smooth, but it takes time, and it is culturally different with classes being more interactive, and a lot of self-preparation and learning is required. I didn't get the scholarship, but it is available for some particular courses. Overall, I am satisfied with the course, university and life in Ireland.
Likes (Indian Food): There are plenty of Indian food options available, from casual takeaways to proper dine-in restaurants. In the area, you can find Indian, Asian, Middle Eastern and European restaurants. Pricing varies as a quick meal or takeaway is 10-15 Euros per person, whereas takeaway is 15-25 euros. I usually prefer cooking for myself as it is more cost-effective.
Dislikes (Internships): While the university provides good guidance for preparing applications, the responsibility to search for and apply for internships falls on the student. Courses that have internships as a mandatory part of their curriculum receive more structured support compared to others that get less direct help. There are a lot of internships relevant to my field of study, but they are very competitive, so securing one depends heavily on individual effort.

Tips: Students should know that Ireland, especially Dublin, is an expensive place, and accommodation struggles are real. So plan everything carefully. Moreover, it's important to be proactive in networking in your class and beyond, as many opportunities in Ireland come through connections or referrals. The transition was a mix of adjustment and excitement. Academically, the structure was more discussion- and research-based, which is very different from what we are used to in India. Culturally, Irish people are usually a bit loud, informal and often friendly, which took a little time to get used to. I am quite satisfied; it gave exposure to a global peer group and provided a strong academic foundation. My course aligned with my interests. Ireland is a safe and easy-to-navigate country for students.
Likes (Indian Food): All types of raw ingredients available in Ireland are also commonly found in India. There are plenty of Indian stores and restaurants catering to specific Indian taste buds, and for preparing meals. The usual pricing is 10 euros per person if eating out. I preferred making my meals at home.
Dislikes (Value for money): The course material, basically their modules, can be easily studied online or at another college for less money. The course doesn't cover any technical aspects of Scrum, nor does it offer free certifications like PRINCE, which are often required for PM jobs.

Tips: If you’re joining this college, you'd better learn good English communication skills because there will be a lot of group work. You should also learn to cook. Be open to meeting new friends and, most importantly, don't work too many part-time jobs, and prioritise your school work. Try to connect and socialise with as many people as you can. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): I would not immigrate to this country. Firstly, the housing price is very high here, so I would have to share a room or a house with others. Secondly, companies here prefer to hire local or European people, so I don't think I would be able to find a job. Lastly, I miss my hometown, and there are more job opportunities there.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer eating at the school canteen or cooking for myself. The Confucius College on the main campus has a great Chinese restaurant with delicious, diverse food at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, the restaurants off campus are quite expensive, costing more than 25 euros per meal.

It was a good experience. Made new friends and got to know Irish culture, and studied something new.
Tips: Since I found it very difficult to submit my application on time, I recommend that you get started with your application as early as possible, ideally in February. The application process can be long, and it would be sad to be late to the party and then find that you don’t get the scholarship that could help you cover a lot of those costs. So make sure to get started early.
Likes (Indian Food): There are a lot of Indian restaurants around here. Plus, there are many Asian markets with exclusive Indian spices that aren't available at the standard grocery stores. I like going to Brey because there are many good Indian restaurants and it's got a great beach vibe.
Dislikes (Part time work): Sometimes it’s difficult to find a part-time job, and it also clashes with our college schedule, which might be problematic as we need to study hard. Also, in part-time jobs, we usually get €13.5 per hour, but I think it should be more, as sometimes it’s hard to manage our expenses.

Tips: Working hard and staying focused are important. There is an endless amount of studying to do, and some weeks you may even spend 30 hours studying. There is no time to relax. If you do take a week or two off, it will be hard to get back in the groove and catch up to everyone else. So I try to do all of my work before the deadlines so I'm never rushing and feeling behind. The faculty are highly knowledgeable and experienced in their field. They even provide us with industrial insight and case studies. The university is very student-friendly. We have different varieties of events and activities held on campus. Public transportation is highly accessible, affordable and convenient. In addition, it only takes about 40 euros per month for travel expenses.

Great academic environment with a diverse culture and supportive faculty.
Tips: Transitioning to UCD was a big step, but a rewarding one. Initially, I did experience a culture shock, especially in how people interact and how independent student life is here. However, everyone is very welcoming, and it becomes easier to adjust once you get involved in student activities and clubs. I personally did not apply for scholarships, but UCD offered me one based on how well I wrote my SOP. I know that UCD offers a few options that you can explore while applying. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with my course, the faculty and the exposure I'm getting. Ireland as a country is beautiful, safe and offers a lot of opportunities for international students, especially in tech.
Likes (Safety): Dublin, especially the areas around campus, feels very secure. There are emergency contact numbers and 24/7 surveillance on and around the premises. Public transport is generally reliable and safe, and I often see Gardai (Police officers) patrolling the city. The presence of well-lit streets, helpful local and clear signage adds to the sense of safety. I've walked home late at night a few times and have never felt unsafe. But towards the north side of the city, people have faced robberies. Overall, Dublin is a really safe city to live in.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Dublin has a lot of options when it comes to Indian restaurants. Several great places serve authentic Indian food across different price ranges. Popular options include Doolally, Andhra Bhavan, Little Yeti and Spice Village. I enjoy exploring these places on weekends, but I also like cooking Indian food at home. Sometimes, specific regional Indian dishes can be hard to find or may not taste exactly like back home.

Tips: There will be no part-time work available, so if you need to work to support yourself, you should not come to this university. Also, never stay with your friends, as everyone becomes selfish after coming here. And you will be broken. Please get a loan and study hard. Maintain your expenses.
Likes (Safety): Our university is very safe because it is near the right state base area so it is very secure. There is always a police presence in the area. Also, the university provides a shuttle service to grocery stores near the university. Additionally, most of the people who live in the area are students, so you will get to meet a lot of international students.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): It is very difficult to get a job in the United States as an international student. Most people here have US citizenship, so there is a lot of competition for jobs. To get a job, you need to network a lot.

Likes (Value for money): The tuition fee for my course is justified. I got an international graduate scholarship of 10,000 USD. This is a budget-friendly university. I think you can't find any university with the state of the art facilities at a minimum tuition fee that also provides merit-based scholarships.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Chances on permanent settlement take time and it is mostly delayed. To get a permanent settlement, you need a green card. My plans are different I'm just here for my studies once, it is done I'll move back to India. To start my own start-up where I'll be using these skills.

Tips: There was a lot of cultural shift. I have transitioned a lot on the basis of discipline and management between college work and household work. I love spending my time in college so much. There are many places to spend time at. I spend most time at the RUSS building, student union and library. I enjoy the diversity in the college. There are so many events organized in the college like cultural events, sports, women empowerment, fun events, and many more. I often participate in them. There are so many clubs and each nationality has its own club and other than that there are many clubs for sports, support, transfers, culture etc. I got a scholarship of 10,000 USD for my whole course. It was based on of merit student scholarship. I'm well satisfied with my course and university and the country.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The faculty is the thing I look forward to most in my university. The faculty is amazing. They are very approachable and accessible. Students can meet them in their rooms or they will just be a mail away. The teaching methodology here is mostly hands-on based and flexible. College is great with strict ethics and values.
Tips: I experienced a lot of culture shock when I first arrived at Wright State University, especially with regard to housing, food habits, and driving. However, I was able to adjust fairly quickly, and overall I am very satisfied with my experience at Wright State. I also received a merit-based scholarship, which requires a GPA of 3.0 or above.
Likes (Indian Food): There are Indian restaurants in the area, but they are expensive. There are more Indian stores where Americans will buy stuff at a higher price than we do. I prefer to cook at home because fresh chicken is available at the nearby market. We can afford to eat biryani, which is my favourite dish.
Dislikes (Public transportation): There are few options for transport at Wright State University. There is a bus that takes students from nearby on- and off-campus housing. The bus schedule is posted, and buses run approximately every 15 minutes. To travel in the city, there is a bus stop at the college that students can use.

Tips: Do not join Right State University unless you are a remarkable student. As a head-up, international students are not offered any internships here. No on-campus job will be offered unless you got contacts or references in the work you want to do. Likes (Permanent Immigration): Ohio is definitely good for business; consider Cincinnati, OH. A field job in CS West Cost is good. Rating post-study jobs poorly could be due to several factors. This limitation can significantly narrow down the job opportunities for international graduates, making it challenging for them to secure employment in their desired field or location.

Tips: One semester is all it takes to adjust here, don't lose hope. Pack some winter clothes because it is cold here. As soon as you land here start networking. And before you come here to sort out your accommodation, look out for Meadowruns it's the closest place to live.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Professors are very supportive, they are just an email away and do not take stress. The coursework is pretty relaxing you will easily score good marks. The teaching style here is very different as compared to other countries you will have assignments due every week.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Takes a lot of time to settle down in the US for Indian students as there are a lot of Indians here. For settlement, it is completely an individual's choice that you want to study here and work or leave as soon as you are done with your education. Take some time to decide.

Tips: Be prepared to study hard. No copying assignments or exams and study hard. If you attend classes, it's helpful. Staying close to the university is good. I got a scholarship from the department. It's 10000 USD (2500 for 4 terms). I like my university. Getting part-time is hard.

Adjustable environment of college for new international students
Tips: So if you are afraid of joining a university where there are many Americans and you feel you cannot adjust to such university, then this will be a good fit for you. Here the percentage of Indian students is good so you can easily adjust. Also maximum faculty for computer science is Indian. So if you feel you may face difficulty in studying with an American accent, then this can be a good option for you.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is good here. They are supportive of any kind of interest you have regarding any research or subject. They solve all doubts nicely plus their lectures are very interactive. I am doing machine learning under a professor and she teaches very well. Also my other professors are very supportive.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Well I will be graduated in 2024 so I am not very sure about this but the recent batch that passed is still looking for jobs. Maybe the reason is the market crash but still even at career fairs they hire people with green cards only. It's hard to get into a job from career fairs.

Mini world to explore and to chase our dreams
Tips: Students must know the course curriculum and fee structure. And mainly the opportunities after the master's. They need to focus on their strengths and weaknesses to survive abroad. They must know the facilities available near the campus and must have an idea about the expenses. So they can manage everything better. It's better to learn to drive in your home country, it helps us a lot here.
Likes (Student Life): Student life is so good and everyone is helpful. As an international student, I never find any difficulty. No discrimination and everyone supports with their best. Students have a lot of opportunities here to improve their skills and knowledge in different fields. There are a lot of cultural events and organizations to participate in and resemble the Desi style.
Dislikes (Internships): I feel that it's hard to get on campus internship here. The competition is too high and we need to work hard to get one. Every international student feels the same, but don't give up keep trying. Getting internship while studying is a good opportunity to improve the knowledge in that specific field.

Research oriented for medical and CS students
Tips: I can tell you that the courses here and the faculty are renowned. You can come here if you are by any chance interested in medical field with computer science. There are many ongoing research projects on this topic and we have a lot of funding for such.
Likes (Quality of faculty): So for computer science, the faculty is very strict. There are very renowned professors from Indian origin who teach core subjects and are pass out from IIT and IISC Bangalore campus from India. Their research work is very fascinating. I like their teaching style.
Dislikes (Indian Food): So our college have cafeterias but we don't have food options from India. We have Chipotle, pizza hut , sushi, wraps, burgers, pizza but no option for Indian food. We have to go out only for eating or take our own lunch to university. Although you can choose to eat these foods while you are on campus.

Research your course well before joining
Tips: I would suggest one should know details about their course well before joining. Just go through the course structure and the subjects listed on the website for the course you are planning to take at wright state university. Secondly, if you are interested for PhD get an understanding of the research going on.
Likes (Safety): Safety is good here. There is a police office built inside the campus. You will see cars patrolling often. There are emergency buttons for everyone on campus. Till date, I have not heard of anyone who has suffered from stealing or robbing. Even if you lose something you will get it in lost and found easily.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are less part time available on campus and as international students we can only work for 20 hrs per week. Minimum pay is 10.10$ per hour which is just enough for your living and food expenses for a month. Mostly if you get GTA or ra it's good because your tuition fees are covered there.

Good college life and study
Tips: Before joining one should know that this college course is tough and has a lot of assignments to do. In my course, the assignments are interesting and fun. You will actually enjoy these assignments. Also if you want a nice college life do come to this college.
Likes (Public transportation): So the student life is quite good. A lot of events happen throughout the campus. There are different courses one can take and can join in different organizations. There are people who will help you and support you. I like the way people enjoy here. We have a nice cafeteria too.
Dislikes (Internships): The faculty here is good. Although the rating of this college is not good, the quality of the faculty is very good. They all will clear your doubts and give you a lot of time personally. Assignments are relatable and very good. I also love the course structure and the way questions are asked in the assessment.

Home far away from India.
Tips: This university is good and huge in area. I would suggest that people should apply only after giving Duolingo as this university accepts that. There is no need to give any other exams. Environment is good. I feel there are many international students from India, especially south India. So you will feel at home.
Likes (Safety): So throughout the campus, there are many emergency buttons. Also, I have seen police patrolling almost every day when I went to college. Along with that, there have been no cases of harassment or anything inside campus. There are emergency buttons inside the tunnels too.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Looking at current graduating students, they are not getting jobs also career fairs do not bring more companies for international students. They all require US citizenship. I believe in other colleges, career fairs are a good opportunity to get job after graduation.

Not a touristy place. People visit for good landscape and some fun
Tips: Students should know that the facilities are good at this university. Moreover it is very cheap compared to other places as well as in tuition fee. Living expenses are comparatively low here. I would say that if you want to roam you have to go downtown.
Likes (Part time work): I am working in recreation center on front desk. I would say getting part time job is easy only when you have any referrals for these jobs. This matters a lot. The workload is almost none. But you can get it easily by contacting hiring managers and through a handshake
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I am in final semester and still I didn't get any job yet. Even my seniors are struggling to get a job. Maybe it is the recession but college sometimes has career fares, however, they are mostly for US citizens only. This eliminates our chances of going in a good company.

Nice college with good facilities
Tips: It's a good college but be prepared for feeling homesick. We have to do jobs that we had never done before so be prepared for that as well. Also, there are many Indian students so we don't get a lot of respect. They give importance to American students in everything.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): Settling here was easy as an international student. I faced some problems because I came here too early before I was allotted a room to live in and was not allowed to move in before the date of my joining. I had to look for temporary accommodation but got it easily as a lot of international students from India are here staying near the university.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Food options for Indian food are almost none. Although you will find other countries' food options like sushi, pasta and pizza but no Indian dishes are there. You will have to prepare food before going on campus or attending college.

Eventful and friendly college
Tips: Before joining the college one should know that most of the students will be Indians only. Wright state accepts a large percentage of Indians and academically, it's very good. The faculty is amazing in my department plus they focus on each student. Also you will enjoy college life here. There are multiple events in the college.
Likes (Public transportation): The transportation service is good and free of cost. College buses run throughout the campus, free for everyone. Even if you live outside there is a bus service available. Also wright state provides free cab service to grocery stores on Saturdays which we have to book in advance.
Dislikes (Part time work): There is very less part time work available for international students. It's very hard to get on campus jobs. Most of the jobs are given to American students only. The day I came to USA, some of my friends got jobs on campus but not any from my department. We have to wait for 1 semester at least for jobs.

Good college with good professors
Tips: No on-campus jobs are provided for international students and so it is very hard to get jobs around here. Your resumes will be reviewed but they don't hire easily.
Likes (Post study jobs): We can explore a lot in the campus and there are many opportunities to grab.
Students can get exposure to many things.
Nice university for international students. Faculty is very good in computer science department. Although the curriculum is a little tough but overall very informative.
Dislikes (Student Life): Students get good faculty support. The professors are easy to contact and they respond quickly when we have any doubts. They teach well and make sure we are taking the classes properly. We follow a perfect schedule. Students can get support easily from the college through e-mails.

Dislikes (Public transportation): University transportation is good, however, the availability of it not so much. In Dayton, the culture is different from India. Here people don't take OLA rides, rather they prefer taking help from friends at the university.

Tips: This college is pretty great for our course and one can join it if they want to learn about industrial and supply chain management. Our course is good with fewer students so the faculty gives importance to all the students. That's good if you really want to explore and learn.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculties are very helpful and not very strict compared to other courses. There are less students in this course so the quality of education is good. Mostly the coursework will be relevant and not just some quizzes. Study is good for the learning we expect from studying abroad.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Post study jobs are fewer because there are less companies that come for our course in career fare. The only option left with us is to go for consultancy as it is difficult to secure a full time job after college in my field. I attended career fares in our college, although the opportunity is more you might have to work more to find jobs.

Many Indian students are present. Good curriculum for computer science
Tips: The course curriculum for computer science is a bit tough. It's hard to get subjects of your choice because there are a lot of Indian students. Also, a lot of south Indian students are there so if you know Telugu you are good to go. North Indians are comparatively less.
Likes (Part time work): It's easy to get part time jobs. I got one even before coming here. Plus the workload is very less so I like the job. All the jobs are easy and no one puts a lot of work pressure. They understand if you have assignments and deadlines to follow. They match up their schedule based on your course schedule so they are very flexible.
Dislikes (Value for money): It is quite costly compared to other colleges available for this course as the course is the same and the university is not that recognized. Other than that, the location is remote in the outskirts. No outside fun or life, for everything you need to travel downtown however University of Dayton is in downtown.
