LLM (Master of Laws) - Batch of 2026
4.4
Good for personal growth.
Tips: Know what you want to do. Start applying early on. Get your application right. It’s not that easy to get admission here. Once you come here you’ll be overwhelmed by the sheer vastness of the city and the uni, but do not let it intimidate you. Strive to do your best and aim to work here after graduation, so that it’s all worth it.
Likes (Student Life): From classes to pubs to society activities, it’s all great. You get to explore central London, which has a rustic yet modern feel to it. The east campus is in Canary Wharf, the business district, so that you get the corporate feel. The faculty is one of the best in the world, ranking is good, academically oriented and produces future assets, i.e., the graduates.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Chances are low because of the new and stricter immigration rules. Since the new rules introduced in July 2025 made it more difficult for companies to sponsor visas for jobs, it’s gonna be very hard to secure a permanent role after graduation. But you still have to try.

An adventurous year in London and UCL.
Tips: UCL is a highly competitive university, and one has to work twice as hard to score well in comparison to an Indian university. Also, there are 3 terms in a year - this means that classes will be held in the first 2 terms, and the last term is for exams/final assessment and research essay. UCL is also strict about the usage of AI or ChatGPT for assignments.
Likes (Quality of faculty): UCL is one of the oldest institutions in the UK, so all the professors are highly educated and accomplished in their fields. In the law faculty, I have seen the Law Commission as a professor; the lawyer of the Queen is also a professor. So, you don't have to worry about the quality of education here as it will be world-class, and the employers recognise this institute and give preference to the UCL students.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I don't know much about the permanent settlement or immigration information in the UK, as I am a current student at UCL and I don't wish to apply for the same, but I hope that whoever wishes to apply for it does not get disappointed about the same. But the facilities here are easy to use, and people are quite friendly, so you can get more information after reaching London.

My college has been a transformative experience so far, shaping both academic and career growth.
Tips: My transition was particularly from Mumbai to London, so I didn't really have problem adjusting to the fast paced life here. I did get an internal scholarship of 50 percent, your SOP is very critical for that. The university offers multiple modules to choose from. It is ranked as one of the top most universities in the world and it couldn't get better than that.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is way more approachable and helpful. You can always visit them during office hours or drop an email. The course is content heavy and mostly your understanding of the class depends on how well you have completed the readings that were offered to you prior. Solicitors and barristers from around the world are teaching the course and UCL has a big alumni base.
Dislikes (Safety): The campus is around Central London and not the Gate. There have been instances of theft. The campus security is top notch but they themselves can't do a lot about the outside situation. One has to be careful walking in these areas. Also, avoid travelling alone initially.

Avoid studying in high ranked universities in places like London
Tips: Avoid coming to the United Kingdom or London, there is a housing and eco-crisis going on currently, opportunities are very limited. Go to places like the Netherlands or Germany instead. There are hardly opportunities for everyone. There is no global exposure also, UK is filled with Indians.
Dislikes (Value for money): Definitely not a value for money, professors arena like the Indians ones, everything needs to be done on our own! Engagement opportunities are minimal, it's just restricted to two floors. Lack of practical exposure and you still get tested based on examinations.

Excellent master's programme, with a strong quantitative bent.
Tips: The programme is very intense and students spend at least 60-70 hours per week on the programme. It is an excellent programme that will benefit students for many years to come. Obtaining a scholarship can greatly help in managing expenses. Nevertheless, I find such a programme a good investment as it will benefit students in diverse career trajectories throughout their careers.

UCL – A world-class experience in the heart of London.
Tips: If you're looking for world-class education, unforgettable experiences, and career-ready skills, you've come to the right place. UCL is the launching pad for success in London. Beyond academics, extracurricular activities thrive here. There are more than 200 student societies, including the Afghan Society, AIESEC, and Amateur Boxing Club. With the variety of activities available here, there is something for everyone. Cultural fests, hackathons, and guest lectures keep campus life vibrant, so you will always have something to do outside of class.
Likes (Safety): UCL has strong industry ties, and its career support helps students land roles at top firms worldwide. In addition, the fact that the university is situated in London opens doors to a wealth of networking opportunities with startups, multinationals, and research institutions. In terms of facilities, the campus infrastructure is phenomenal, with top-notch offerings across the board. It's a place that makes the most of the space, from the historic Bloomsbury campus to the cutting-edge UCL East at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The libraries, labs, and collaborative workspaces provide an environment that encourages innovation, while the brand-new Marshgate building provides top-of-the-line labs for students in fields such as engineering and robotics.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): Studying at University College London (UCL) has been an incredible journey! The faculty here is truly supportive. Professors are not just experts in their fields but also approachable mentors who encourage critical thinking and hands-on learning. Whether it's through office hours or interactive lectures, they make sure students grasp complex concepts with ease.

UCL demands academic rigor, fosters global opportunities, diverse culture, with high London costs.
Tips: Before joining UCL, students should know that UCL demands high academic rigour, a global reputation, and a diverse, international community. Located in central London, living costs are high, and independent learning is key. UCL also offers many extracurricular and career opportunities frequently and I advise the students to participate in it and try to build connections as it will significantly help for professional growth. Overall, I am satisfied with the course, university and the country.

Strong internship support with room for improvement.
Tips: The campus is very good, and it has a strong academic environment. The university is research-focused. The support for internships is good, but there is definitely room for improvement in that area. This is a good school, and in this area, I think it's the best. The career fairs and job fairs provide a good way to find internships, and the school provides a lot of support. It's cool that Career Connect can help students find good internships and help students with their resumes.

The University of Colorado Denver has good research-oriented programs.
Tips: The University of Colorado Denver has good research-oriented programs, and is also a good place for someone who is passionate about research and has personal projects of their own. I have enjoyed my courses quite a lot as I am very dedicated in learning about environmental sustainability, and this campus has provided me with the perfect place to explore my potential. The vibe is quite relaxed and it is a peaceful place to live in. Public transportation is highly accessible and affordable, and with the help of a bus card, you can save a lot of money. I had so far enjoyed my time here.

Tips: As a business student, the overall experience and exposure I have gotten here has been both helpful and one of a kind. The student body is very diverse, and I have fostered connections that would last a lifetime. There are a number of fellow Indians as well, and the food options have been great too. This is a good place to further your education if you are an innovative and curious individual.

Great place to explore and find your potential.
Tips: I came here with a number of expectations and the university did not disappoint. The community abroad is friendly, inclusive, yet individualistic, so it's important that you learn how to respect boundaries while also involving yourself in activities and sports that would give you a real sense of the college spirit. The engineering programs have some renewed faculty, and students are encouraged to think out of the box and participate as much as they can. Also, make sure to build some connections as it will significantly help you to grow professionally. Overall, I am highly satisfied with the course, university and the country.

It has been a great learning process. The campus is diverse and vibrant.
Tips: I have grown a lot as an individual and become much more self-reliant than I could have ever imagined after coming here. The people have been kind and the campus has some scenic views to enjoy as well. The weather is quite perfect if you are an outdoorsy individual, and there are regular celebrations for Indian students organised by the international student community such as for Diwali, Holi, etc. Faculty are highly qualified and understanding. The classes are fun, interactive, and engaging. Overall, I have had a great experience studying here so far.

University of Colorado Denver provides good opportunity to grow.
Tips: The initial few weeks of college will be spent in getting to know the place, people, and adjusting to the time difference. If you are staying on campus, then make it a point to introduce yourself to the president counselor who will help you out with most of your accommodation and logistical situations. The faculty are welcoming and will guide you through the semester. Staff and people here are friendly, fun and love to socialise. Overall, I would say it’s been a great experience here.

Lots of learning and growth with diverse faculty and supportive peers.
Tips: The culture of Colorado is extremely immersive even though it takes a while to settle in so I would recommend one to arrive on campus before the orientation so they can truly understand what is needed and what to expect. As an undergrad, your SAT scores can determine whether you get in or not but once you've arrived, you are expected to contribute to society in non-academic ways as well which makes this truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The faculty are helpful and understanding so feel free to reach out to them in case of any queries or doubts. Also, try to contribute in classes and be creative. Overall, I am highly satisfied with the course and the university.

For the first year, you can sign up for a meal plan as that saves time and convenience. BA in Interdisciplinary studies - Batch of 2025

3.5
Good place, good facilities and friendly faculty.
Tips: The biggest issue here, at least in my case, was the limited options for housing and accommodation, especially on campus. It is crucial to find an ideal form of housing near campus, and it may not be the best idea to opt for an off-campus option through the internet as there has been a rise in scams. The classes are engaging, and participation is a must. Although there are part-time work options available, and ideally, it is recommended to have some kind of part-time occupation to meet the expenses here, the availability of work is limited and time-consuming, which is not a feasible option if you have a challenging major or programme. Overall, I am highly satisfied with my experiences.

Lot of activities and great learning environment.
Tips: The best part of staying here is easily the student life. The faculty is cooperative and will guide you with your classes and assignments. The coursework is updated, and the classes are engaging. The community is not so welcoming and friendly, but it helps you care about your niche and follow your passion, which makes the whole college experience intangible. Make sure you have your I-20 form and documents in order, as you will need them on more than one occasion, and you can request a peer mentor for extra assistance if you may feel the need.

Tips: I did transition after coming here because of the welcoming environment and the international student community who have helped ensure that students like us are able to navigate and settle down. During applications, you can expect different levels of competitiveness based on the major you are opting for and the campuses as well. The faculty has been helpful so far. Surprisingly, Indian food here is truly exceptional and quite popular among Americans and Indians. You can find a number of Indian restaurants and eateries that too off different cuisines and you will not be disappointed. I make it a point to visit some of them at least once a week. It’s a good university but it is very difficult to find part time and internship.
Tips: You will need to hustle a lot for internships and part-time as there are many international students and foreigners and it's quite competitive. I recommend starting searching for it as soon as you come to the university and from the first day of your classes only. The country and the university are quite safe because of the continuous patrolling and security presence. There are security guards at the train station and emergency security guards on campus, which helps students feel safe and surrounded by people.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are very few part-time jobs available, and students are quite competitive. Even internships are hard to come by. If you don't get an internship, you might have to pay extra for summer classes.

A multicultural learning hub in Downtown Denver
Tips: I have started interacting with people from diverse backgrounds. This has made me more confident. People here enjoy privacy and usually like to be left alone. You need to maintain basic etiquette in public spaces. You need to follow rules all the time. I am getting a stipend for the role of teaching assistant. I got the role by contacting my graduate advisor. I am satisfied with the course and university because of the personalized attention that professors give me. They help you to really learn and become successful.
Likes (Indian Food): There are Mexican, Indian, Chinese, and Thai joints almost everywhere. Downtown Denver has many fast-food chains as well. I cook on weekdays. i.e outside once a week. The cost of per meal outside for one person is around $10 to $20. You also get a variety of food stores within the campus.
Dislikes (Value for money): The tuition fees is on the higher side for international students. Each 3-credit course is around $4200. The average cost per semester is around $12000. However, students can manage the cost with part-time work and scholarships. Students have access to various facilities such as a gym, library, printing services, medical services etc.

Eventful University experience wrapped in decent city vibes.
Tips: Though the University experience is decent, getting scholarships or financial aid is a little tricky here. The first semester, especially if you do not know anyone here could be challenging to figure out things. Denver as a city is nice, and worth the living cost.
Likes (Indian Food): There are a handful of Indian restaurants and grocery stores. I prefer cooking by myself. There are also Middle Eastern places that serve good food. Konark Grocers has all Indian grocery items including vegetables, biscuits and snacks.
Dislikes (Internships): To secure an internship, one needs to actively apply from the second semester onwards. Though there are career fairs at school, the applying part is totally on the student. We have a career center that helps with resumes. Not much guidance is provided by the University.
