Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence - Batch of 2025
4.0
For my university, i would write a phrase and it is "Where Ancient Halls Meet Modern Minds".
Tips: Look, you are absolutely going to hit a wall of culture shock when you first land in Pavia—there is no point in sugarcoating it, but it’s completely normal and you do eventually find your groove. The saving grace for your wallet out here is the EDISU scholarship, which is a total lifesaver. It’s based on a mix of your family income back home and your academic merit once you start your course. If you manage to land it, it pretty much strips away the entire financial burden of studying in Italy by covering your accommodation, dining hall meals, and even giving you a cash stipend. Just make sure you get your paperwork sorted early because it makes a massive difference in surviving day-to-day student life here.
Likes (Quality of faculty): I rated the faculty so high because the professors at Pavia are genuinely incredibly sweet and approachable. Most of them are super easy to reach if you need a hand, and you can easily get some solid, one-on-one guidance if you're struggling with the material. The whole exam setup takes a massive amount of pressure off your shoulders too. You don't have to constantly panic about failing or getting stuck with a terrible grade, mostly because the Italian system lets you reject a grade and just reappear for the exam during the next session if you’re not happy with how you did. Having those multiple chances makes the academic load feel way more manageable and way less stressful.
Dislikes (Part time work): Part-time work is possible but tricky. Italian is practically mandatory in Pavia since English is rarely spoken here. Milan is a better bet for part-time opportunities, though even there, basic Italian helps a lot. "Learn Italian or no part-time job."

MSc Economics - Batch of 2023
Offered by Tilburg University
4.5
Ample opportunities are available.
Tips: The workload is a lot. But there is ample time to have relations and travel during the weekends. There is ample scholarship, and the programme is focused towards the job market. If you want to do something in academic, then I would recommend pursuing MRes Economics at Tilburg.

- Batch of 2024
4.5
A good feasible university option
Tips: There is huge housing crisis in the Netherlands. So try finding houses beforehand. Dutchies are very open-minded and curious about your culture, so cultural shifting is quite easy. They also speak English ( except for some old people). My experience so far has been very good.
Likes (Part time work): There are many off-campus minimum wage (10 euro/hour) jobs available for English-speaking students. If you are academically good, you can get student assistant positions which pay double the minimum wage (20 euro/hour). But there is a lot of competition for these positions.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There is only one store, especially for Indian ingredients in town, but most things can be found for a higher price at grocery shops. Eating Indian out is very expensive and not that good because Dutchies can't tolerate spice. So I prefer cooking for myself and it is very doable.
