The city of peace and opportunities.
Tips: As a student, I am happy with as of now and am easy going and able to adapt quite easily and I didn’t avail any scholarships but options are there. Living as a student here in Bremen is easy but as a student, it is always our efforts to stand out.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Faculties are experienced and expressive. They do not hesitate and are able to clear whatever students have in the topics and regarding the subject. It is easy to get an appointment with the faculty. The teaching is quite unique and they explain concepts compared to real life scenarios which makes it understandable for students. No diversity at all and all are treated the same way.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Our home country's food options are expensive here and students can’t eat frequently and have to manage with the limited varieties. If the students are earning part time, the amount would be sufficient and they would be able to afford otherwise it is expensive. I mostly do not eat outside and eat only once or twice a month and I like to cook by myself.

MSc Management Information Systems - Batch of 2027

Highly qualified faculty.
Tips: We have to learn the German language because without that, life is not easy going here. Plus, if you are doing Master's, then the faculty will expect that we have good skills in our Bachelor's. So we should know about our subjects in greater depth. So easy-going.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty members and their experiences are worth it for all the struggles of surviving here. They're market experienced, competent and helpful. And they're helpful towards the expat students. I like them very much and find them too helpful. You'll have a nice time here with them.
Dislikes (Internships): They provide support but we have to find it on our own. So in that sense, it's a bit different from what we are used to in India. But here you can experience networking and the value of effective networking. You'll enjoy your time here through all ups and downs.

Do steady research about the course that you would wish to join.
Tips: Do steady research about the course that you would wish to join. Preferably, connect to the present students of your stream of choice on LinkedIn. Get a clear idea about the opportunities post the completion of your study, plus some advice as and when you need. Getting into a university abroad is not rocket Science, but surviving through it might feel like one. So, better be prepared for the cultural socks and all the socks of your life. It's surprisingly interesting as well.
Likes (Value for money): If you can manage to get into a public university, then the tuition feels are 0 for most states, except for some that charge a tuition fee of 1500 euros. You can easily ramp up your total living cost working some part time job, even 14-15 hours of work a week can get you around 800-850 euros, which is enough for rent, food, insurance money and some miscellaneous expenses. Plus, you get a Deutschlandticket for the semester fee that you pay, which makes all your daily travel free of cost, except when you are traveling by air or ICE.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are very few Indian stores and restaurants and they are all quite expensive for a student. The only option that you have for Indian food is to cook it at home. If you have a lot of money, then you can obviously go ahead for a good Indian lunch. And of course, if you can find a Gurudwara in your city, then you can grab some free Indian food now and then.

A good experience at Uni Bremen.
Tips: There is a huge cultural shock. It is difficult to cope in the beginning. The quality of education is very different from that in India. They don't teach a lot of things here, but they go in depth. There is no micro-management. I am very grateful for this opportunity.

Germany is a good option only if you know German very well.
Tips: The transition to studying at the University of Bremen is difficult, but knowing the German language is key. If you want to fit in, try to make friends with other international students and communicate with them in German. This will boost your confidence. I received no scholarships from the government. As a public university, the school is good, but you have to manage your own expenses. Germany is a good option only if you know German very well. If you want to spend 10 years in Germany, go for a Bachelor’s degree there. But if you want to come back to India, go for a Master’s degree at one of the top 5 universities in English. You can definitely get a job if you study hard. There are a lot of computer science jobs available in Bremen.
Likes (Internships): It's easy to get internships after graduation. You get the option quickly. But, they are sometimes part time and don't pay. However, they're good for experience and knowledge. There are also a lot of computer science jobs available in Bremen, Hamburg, or Berlin after you graduate.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are not a lot of Indian restaurants in the Bremen area, and what’s available doesn’t serve any authentic Indian food. I did see some Indian food options at city festivals, though. Berlin, on the other hand, has a lot of Indian restaurants. However, I prefer cooking my own meals. It is a more budget-friendly option. I typically eat boiled potatoes. And be warned, some of the food you get there, like burgers, contains beef. So, be careful if you are vegan.

Great for independence and growth.
Tips: What helped me the most was the connection with alumni and seniors and getting an idea of places that were soon to be vacant as well as garage sales which helped me have an advantage when it came to accommodation. There are always students moving out and they are more than willing to sell their home essentials at rates lower than the market. Aside from this, try and get noticed by your professors as their recommendation can help with jobs and even post graduation.
Dislikes (Part time work): There used to be a part time work culture decades ago but if you come as a student right now, there are maybe a few opening on campus which almost every other person wants so your chances are slim to none. If you get one, I would say it is manageable.

Explore all possibilities.
Tips: I have learnt how to be more proactive and direct as communication is carried out in a more straightforward manner here. You can truly be lucky for an early bird scholarship if you've made up your mind but I would honesty to only come here if your programme is in demand and you get a decent scholarship else it isn't really as worth it.

Great campus, vibrant student life and many events.
Tips: Something that surprised me here was how much importance is given to group projects and participating in classes, not just speaking and representing, but also being an active listener. The faculty also encourages us to actively participate in events and clubs. I also spend time playing intramural football, which gives me a set routine and has helped me make good friends. Learn about the Mid Western culture before coming
Tips: The mid-western culture is a very courteous but close culture. So be ready to be warmly welcomed as a guest to begin with, but it's very difficult if not impossible to become a part of them, except if you learn basketball and soccer. As an MBA, you will find a lot of networking options, if you are smart about using these opportunities to mix with them, then you will may find your way into being accepted.
Likes (Safety): The place is pretty safe and easy to move around. There are certain areas that you must avoid, but you will find such areas few in number. Overall a very safe place. I haven't heard of or come across instances of unsafe behaviour. The east side of the university is not considered safe while the West side is safe and residential.
Dislikes (Value for money): Like every other school, there's significant scope for improvement in the MBA programme of the Ohio State University - Fisher College of Business. The college's lack of investment in student success is evident in its internal politics and bureaucratic hurdles, which hinder progress. The system is set to favour the few and there's a noticeable bias towards the Midwest, neglecting global perspectives. The programme's diversity is limited to local Ohio students or veterans, along with a few Indian and Nigerian students, highlighting a lack of inclusive culture and management of diversity.

Ohio State University- it's pretty great
Tips: It's super easy for international students to get used to the new climate, thanks to a lot of international organisations for students from other countries. Scholarships are plenty, and working on a project as a master's student can help you in getting a GRA, waiving your tuition for 1-2 semesters.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Extremely good with teaching new concepts, patient with students and understanding of our situation/difficulties. It's a paradigm shift in the professor-student relationship when compared to the hierarchical nature of professor-student relationships in India. You can approach your professors if you have any questions/advice regarding the course. They are usually extremely friendly and understanding.
Dislikes (Internships): Extremely hard for international students to get internships for the summer. This could be due to the economic downturn in the summer during my specific course, but I did notice that a lot of students were finding it hard to get into an internship for the summer.

Fun loving university experience.
Tips: If you are enrolling in this college, it's important to grasp the cultural and academic environment. Be ready for a possible change in culture when coming to the USA. Take time to research scholarships, understand eligibility criteria, and apply for financial aid to help with your studies. Getting a scholarship will help you a lot and I guess many graduates can help you regarding the info you need. You will face some problems in start but you will get comfortable after some time. The university is great and fun loving.

Academically good university.
Tips: The faculty is very good. Also, there will be a lot of sports activities that you can participate in. They have many organizations that you can be a part of. This university is academically good. Course structure and resources are available easily for free.
Likes (Safety): The college campus is very secure and has emergency buttons built at many places throughout the college. Also, the police are very active in this college as this is a state university and they cannot afford any type of criminal activity in this university.
Dislikes (Value for money): The original cost of this university is very high compared to other universities. I got a research assistantship so I didn't have to pay my tuition fees. But normally the college fees compared to other college is high because it is under top 50 universities.
