Gratitude and learnings.
Tips: I have transitioned successfully here, and even though culture shock is expected, it becomes better once you spend some time here. The city is quite huge and computing can be a hassle as you can't really on walking much. Learn to budget and cooking hacks for which you'll need masalas from back home, as they are not easily available here, along with being more expensive. My programme is beneficial for my future and career aspirations, and the community I have gained here has been more than helpful.

Grateful to have the opportunity to learn and grow.
Tips: I found the community more conservative and close knit than I had expected. Dallas is a big city and networking opportunities are around if you look well. A lot of the learning is done outside of classrooms and you will be expected to collaborative with people you barely know. The living here is also more affordable in comparison to other states and your experience largely depends on what you make of it.

Good learning environment.
Tips: I have become more independent and self-aware after coming here. The pace is certainly different from ack, and you won't be the only one navigating this, and people are helpful, which gave me a lot of assurance. The community is close-knit, and classes are more conversational than theoretical. I didn't get scholarships, but some of my friends did. I am satisfied overall.

Good university and course structure.
Tips: I was overwhelmed when I started my journey but after initial phase of documentation and settling I took time to meet my peers join a few clubs and attend whatever meet ups or orientations were taking place which paid off. I have since then had a comfortable experience. The class sizes are small, more interaction with professors and students and my course is well planned for the needs of the industry. The chances of getting a job here are still limited.

Good growth and potential.
Tips: There was some culture shift when I came, as Texas is a big state, and my university is more Christian-influenced. It takes a few weeks or, maximum a month to get used to how things work. Be prepared to adjust a bit, but the people around you are not bad. They are welcoming and warm, and professors are engaging. Just ensure that you take your attendance seriously.

B.A. Economics - Batch of 2026

Good place to learn.
Tips: The University of Dallas is a very well-known university for its liberal arts programs, including psychology and economics. You will have to put in effort from the very start of the semester, so there's less catching up to do. The class sizes are small and discussion-oriented. The tuition costs are more compared to other universities in Texas, so keep that in mind.

Good learning environment.
Tips: The programs here are decent and detailed but they lack approach in certain aspects. The faculty is very knowledgeable and has helped in shaping my perspective as well. Downtown is filled with activity and has some nice places to explore although the rent here is higher. Good for independent learners.

Good location and a good place to learn.
Tips: I have had an enjoyable and insightful journey here and I personally found the campus to be quite welcoming and happening as well. Everything here is quite accessible as well be it the metro, shopping avenues and pubs as well because the university is located downtown. A good way to socialize is through the clubs especially for international students.

Peaceful and quiet campus life.
Tips: The business programs here are very practical and conducted by very knowledgeable faculty who have a lot of experience in their fields. Networking opportunities here are limited and I've seen that internship opportunities are more as compared to full time job roles. Campus life is more peaceful and helps me in remaining focused.

My experience in CSU.
Tips: My experience here has taught me a lot about how to navigate in a different country, be independent and resource management as well. CSU is good with their flexibility and that they are project intensive if you are more of a practical learner as compared to theory. It can be better in terms of safety especially after sunset, so you should keep this in mind. Overall, a good place to learn.

Good place for learning.
Tips: My university does pretty well in certain programs such as in CS courses, although I have noticed several discrepancies in the way courses are structured and classes could be organised in a better manner. The environment is nice and relaxed and classroom sizes are also limited, allowing more interaction and verbal understanding. The theoretical aspects of my major could be carried out in a better format. Good place to upskill overall.

Fascinating learning environment.
Tips: There were culture shocks in terms of behaviour cues and expressions but people were kind enough to have an open mind and ease to them which made setting in easier. The coursework is really reading intensive but the extra credit work at times is more out of the box and interesting and helpful in boosting your grade so didn't skip that. Try to live as near campus as possible to save on commute expenses.

Good for growth and learning.
Tips: My experience in Texas state so far has been pretty positive here with good professors and peers. The faculty is truly knowledgeable in their fields and classrooms often have a lot of industrial knowledge included. The administrative systems are sometimes long drawn and can feel like you're stuck in a loop, especially when it comes to stuff like course registration. The location is ideal as well.

Something here for everyone.
Tips: I did experience several cultural shocks, but at small scales and nothing too out of the ordinary. People are friendly and open, which made things a bit reassuring. Classes are research intensive, but they could be conducted in a better format honestly. Scholarships are given out mostly on a merit basis, and it is helpful in easing the financial burden of the cost of tuition here. There are frequent career fairs and you shouldn't hesitate to check them out.

Some faculty is truly exceptional.
Tips: Location and cost of tuition are both on the higher side so make sure you have thought it through and explore your options as well. Very busy campus, and professors are helpful for job prospects and networking opportunities if you connect with them. Can be better in terms of safety.
Dislikes (Part time work): Limited opportunities for part time both on and off campus. On campus, you'll have better chances if you look at some of the less sought after options and if you're able to adjust it in your schedule while managing your workload as well. There are teaching and research assistantships as well.

Good place and good city.
Tips: Cultural differences are almost everywhere, but it is a part of the process and as long as you're observant and respectful of people's time and space, you'll be fine. The quality of education is good but somehow the cost of tuition is unjustified. You'll get good access to internships and events and if you take advantage of it, it can really help you out. The student body is supportive and there is a help centre for any extra assistance you might need.

Better to stay off campus.
Tips: Every student here has had their own journey and goal and this reflects on the school's population. Very diverse and inclusive campus with great connectivity because of its location. Had a learning journey in CSU.
Tips: I have grown a lot as a person after coming here and my experiences with people have helped in shaping me. CSU has an accepting and diverse culture, so you won't feel too left out. It's located downtown, which is one of the most promising areas for industrial and networking potential. It will suit you if you prefer living and working in a more independent format. Learn to cut costs and try to find a guarantee if you're planning on renting a place, as this will help save extra charges.

Very versatile university.
Tips: For me, the environment was new but not familiar, as I had spent most of my educational journey away from my hometown, so settling in wasn't particularly difficult. In an environment such as this, you have to be more proactive with both social groups and in the classrooms. Job opportunities are limited and you'll need at least a Master's to stand a chance. Rent depends on location and where the campus is can be a bit more expensive than the rest, but there are a lot of computers.

Tips: I have learnt to become more open minded and socially aware after spending time here. Tips: The campus is accepting and always has something going on to keep you occupied. Tips: There are students from all over, and the campus is filled with things to do and be a part of, especially when it comes to sports and clubs. Classes are very interactive and professors care about ensuring that you are able to keep up and understand what is going on. Post study jobs and immigration have become next level difficult and at this point, you'll need at least a Masters to stand a chance.

Tips: I have learnt to adjust and approach things with an open mind here. College is good, professors care about their lessons and lots of events and games to look forward to. Diversity in terms of people and experiences.
Tips: Before joining, students should research programs, campus resources, and opportunities for involvement. Transitioning here involved adapting to a diverse culture and urban setting. Scholarships are also available to qualified students based on their academic merit. Amazing student life on-campus.
Likes (Student Life): The university offers a diverse student life with engaging events and clubs. Its urban campus fosters academic growth and vibrant community connections. There are varieties of student clubs that include almost every available field. The college is situated in the downtown is a main advantage
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The current job market is bad and it has nothing specific to do with the university. Common roles include software engineer and data analyst. However, I am not sure about specific data related to how many company offers roles and the salary package.
