The education is good, but not the quality of life.
Tips: I have become very responsible and massive respect grew towards all kinds of people who do all the odd jobs. Started to see my life in a different perspective which I wouldn’t have if I was in India. Going abroad will make you only a stronger person. I had an amazing experience in the United Kingdom. I have learnt so many lessons after coming here. The education is good, but not the quality of life. The cost of living is too expensive, and not everyone can afford it. Coming to the life experiences and lessons, it’s totally worth it.
Dislikes (Safety): People in Huddersfield are mostly like thugs. They are little racist apart from that, I would say everything else is manageable. It’s always better to not go out after a certain time anywhere. If you keep this in mind, I honestly don’t see any other problem.

Public transport is affordable, and you’ll find buses and trams all over Huddersfield.
Tips: I always had a very comfortable life back home. Living in the UK gave me a whole new experience. My perspective towards life changed. Respect towards people has grown. And I honestly feel everyone has to move out to different countries to explore themselves. You'll only become a better person if you do this. I faced quite a few issues with young gangs in a few parts of Huddersfield. I heard and saw a decent number of news headlines about it. It's a nice place to stay, but after a certain time in the evening, it's always better for girls, especially, to stay home and really engage in unknown group activities. Public transport is affordable, and you’ll find buses and trams all over Huddersfield. This means you can easily get around without worrying about the time it’ll take. Every route has regular buses, making public transport a huge plus.

A good learning but very fast paced experience.
Tips: Students should know that scholarships are available and can check on the university website. You need to join on time otherwise there might be a problem with your studies and catching up with the syllabus. Teaching and knowledge are good but the country is not that good and very bad weather most of the time. Indian Food is very limited and you have to cook daily so that you control your expenses.
Likes (Student Life): Nice atmosphere, a good library, helping teachers and clubs. I spend my days going to the lab and working on my final thesis. All functions are celebrated in university and different student unions do that part. I don't participate much as I have to go to classes almost every day and complete my assignments.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Not many companies hire freshmen, and also there is racism prevalent. Many different companies are available that offer sponsorship, but you should have experience. They offer mostly around 29000 to 50000 Pounds. You can check on the UK government website for sponsorship companies. New rules have come which require more salary to have sponsorship in the UK.

The college is very cooperative and excellent for business studies.
Tips: I have been more punctual as the assignments have to be submitted on accurate timing. If we are late we fail or have to redo the whole assignment in another topic so we have to prepare it again. I had availed scholarship worth £2,000 every year so I was able to save around £6,000 on my studies.
Likes (Internships): The student life is the best life to live over here. As we get all the facilities and it feels very safe because of excellent security and is highly clean in roadways and has easy transportation. It is easy to reach the campus from anywhere which helps a lot.
Dislikes (Value for money): Best faculty and they are very approachable and easy to handle. You can also get your things done very fast and in an easy manner. The staff is also very understanding and very polite. They try their best to make us understand the whole technical specification.

Tips: Students coming here should focus on upgrading basic skills like communication and all. Practice to study on your own and develop research skills as they will definitely be helpful, especially for Masters students. Focus on a particular area in which you have an interest. Likes (Safety): Safety is the most important key here. Everywhere fire sensors and alarms are installed to detect smoke and fire and student safety is of utmost importance. At traffic signals, rules are commonly followed by everyone. Additional NHS services are also good, you can make an appointment at any time.
Dislikes (Internships): In UK, companies are expecting UK experience for internships. Try to focus on acquiring a technical or field job. You can work a part time job, it is easy to find but you have to apply at more places even you can try on Indeed. Indeed is a good option for finding internships and jobs.

A decent university for studies
Tips: I am satisfied with the opportunities provided by my university and it could help in improving my skills and perspective towards life. University outlook is itself impressive when compared to my country and the quality of education and the chance to interact with people around the world.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport is very good. It is accessible to everyone. There are many buses and trains. But it's hard to get up very early morning and sleep late at night. Sometimes cancellations are also observed. The cost is high compared to my country but the service is good.
Dislikes (Part time work): Nice experience being a student. Better living conditions and better education. Part-time job finding is the hardest part. The rest of the things are fine. I got better educational facilities and the laboratory is well equipped with all sophisticated instruments. The campus is also quite big and beautiful.

Dislikes (Public transportation): The public transportation in London is very well collected and very well established. It is one of the oldest public transport system that consist of underground trains and overground trains and national railway; buses that run all around London. The only downside that I can say about the public transport here is that it's Harsh on the pockets of the students, though students have the option of getting a travel card on their student Oyster card.

Too expensive for a degree, but overall an average experience.
Tips: People believe the country will look like it is in the movies, hence they come with a lot of expectations. Unfortunately, it's not. The campus life is mixed with diverse cultures, and we will all meet someone from our own culture. Everyone who performed well in their previous education gets access to the Global Talent Scholarship, amounting to 3000 pounds during my time. Overall university experience, I would give 3/5.
Likes (Indian Food): I personally believe there are a lot of shops nearby, and a bit of a walk would solve all the problems from where I have been. Coming from India, I liked staying in my accommodation since it's located in zone 2 and is accessible to a tube station. There are a lot of grocery stores available that would enable one to cook their own food as well, from Lidl to Sainsbury's.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): It's really difficult to get into a full-time sponsored job in this country. With strict immigration laws and the advancement of AI, one needs to stand out really well from others to get into the desired role. Personally, for me, getting a part-time job was difficult, but I managed somehow. With temporary settlement being this difficult, imagine permanent settlement.

You learn a lot and experience growth in many ways.
Tips: I would say choose a university based on your course and the modules offered there. Check for scholarships. I got a scholarship but at QMUL you do not need to apply; they send you a confirmation saying to submit a SOP of why they need to give a scholarship, after which you are picked to get one. I am very satisfied with the course.
Likes (Student Life): All classes were good. I liked my finance classes, complex network class. I used to do my work mostly in the library which is huge. SBM students also have access to Bloomberg labs. All events are well organised. I would suggest participating in everything. You meet people and learn different things and get to know a lot of stuff. I am in a few clubs. I loved being a Student venture capitalist and also an active member at the student union.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The Curve offers you good food for 10-15 pounds for a meal. Or you can always find meal deals in Sainsbury's and Tesco or other food places near campus.
I sometimes used to cook but you have a variety of options for food in and near the campus. Outside the campus you get meal deals for around 6 pounds.

Likes (Student Life): The student life is amazing; the exposure that you get here is unparalleled. Queen Mary University of London has students from more than a hundred countries and has more than three campuses of its own, offers in campus and off-campus accommodation as well.
Dislikes (Internships): When it comes to an internship the culture is completely different in the UK. They only provide guidance and help you with your resume. You have to apply for the internship yourself. They are not listed anywhere. You have to work really hard to get an internship.

Getting a part time job can be challenging in the UK but with the proper support from the university I got my part time job within two months of joining the university. They have a separate site where they help students in creating their resume and they also list part time jobs there.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Because of the present events that have taken place. The laws introduced by the UK government restrict PSWP from 24 months to 18 months and there has been an increase in the sponsorship fee as well.

Tips: My transition was quite challenging during the initial days. I took support of the University's mental well-being, society. They help me in settling in and I would suggest that if any of you find it difficult to settle in, there is always a mental will in society in every UK University; they are very kind to help, even if it is the smallest of matters. This thing at my university really impresses me. I received a scholarship of 4000. I am satisfied with my university and faculty members.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Exposure, the quality of teaching that London has been unmatched, was given at the University of London. After 1 year of Masters I found myself improved and change human being because of the exposure that I got from the faculty and peers here. This is something I remember and carry forward for all of my life.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Permanent immigration settlement, according to me in the current situation, the United Kingdom is not worth it as it used to be. Taxes are very high and living expenses as well, and if you talk about the opportunities, I think personally, there are more opportunities in India.

Quality education; gradually increasing crime rate.
Tips: Talking about the transition that I went through after coming from India here in the UK, it was quite challenging in the initial days while I was trying to settle in. We were two friends who came together for studies, so we managed somehow during the initial days, as time passed, made new friends and adapted ourselves to this new country. The quality of the faculty is just amazing. The professors have all the knowledge of their subjects. Just the professor of business schools. Call experience of real life, businesses and our classes were held in such an interactive way that it never felt like a theoretical class; it was a practical class. We always had a guest lecture after the second half of our classes.
Dislikes (Safety): Crime has significantly increased in recent times. People say that this is because of the illegal immigrants, but God knows what the reason behind it, it's no safer than it used to be, with multiple events involving international students. Being stabbed has been reported since my arrival, to be honest. I also feel scared while walking out alone at night.

Public transport provides great connectivity in the UK.
Tips: Transition was pretty smooth after coming to the UK, as I already knew the inside of living here from my friends who have been studying there from last few years. They helped me in settling in and apart from that, there is a dedicated team at the university that helps you settle in quickly. I am completely satisfied with my university. Talking about the city, I expected more from London as it was my dream city since childhood.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transport provides great connectivity in the UK. Also, internationally, you can take a train from London to Paris. It's that good that I would like to give it to a student, get the student twister as soon as you and get it liked with the rail. You'll get 30% discount on every rail trip.
Dislikes (Safety): Safety is one of the major concerns and the recent issue is in the city of London. There have been multiple cases of students being stepped on mentally. Students who are coming to London should be extremely careful about taking their phones out of their pockets in busy areas.

The UK's recession and Queen Mary's excellent education.
Tips: Before joining, one should consider the current scenario in the United Kingdom. This lack of jobs here right now is going through a period of bad choices. They are currently committing illegal immigration. So getting a job can be difficult. If you're coming here, be prepared for facing rejections while applying, though the university provides some good exposure. Lifetime exposure for me as I was not looking for the jobs here.
Likes (Post study jobs): Queen Mary University of London has a separate portal dedicated to the students where they can search for graduate jobs. All the jobs are listed there, and if you're lucky, you can get one as well. Also, provide personal support to the student applying for the jobs and graduate roles. For my course, the usual starting salary is 30,000 per.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I would say that three star rating is justified for the permanent immigration option. This is because of the lack of jobs. There is so much hardship and finding a graduate job United Kingdom. It's no more than you graduate and immediately get a job. There is a lot of struggle behind it takes one year to get a job, and continuous hard work. Good job, considering the session chances are quite low.

Great education, but a challenging period for the immigrants.
Tips: My transition was not that smooth. I faced a lot of challenges during the initial period. I had no one known here so the initial weeks were quite challenging. Gradually I made some friends and settled in. I did avail a scholarship. I am completely satisfied with my course but the country did not meet my expectations. I expected more from London. Good experiences though.
Likes (Post study jobs): There is a student skill development centre which is responsible for taking care of all the job related matter. They do personal evaluation suggest changes in CV and also update the job portals regularly for graduate jobs.

London is not that safe.
Tips: The transition to London has been very smooth for me as I've already had friends who have been studying at Queen's University of London, so I came here with knowledge of what things gonna be like for me. I availed the scholarship of 4000 that was based on my graduation marks.
Likes (Student Life): The university gives you the time of your life to connect with friends and professors, who are the motivation themselves and are the overachievers in their field. I enjoyed hanging out with my friends. The most the universe organises every type of cultural event even Diwali and Holi are celebrated on the campus. They are organised by the Hindu society/Indian society.
Dislikes (Safety): For safety inside the University campus is solid. All the entrances and exits are pretty much secure and there is no concerning thing there, but if you talk about the safety outside the campus, it's crime filled and has a prominent increase in London.

Tips: The university offers a great welcome to the new international students. My transition to the country and the university was very smooth. I did avail myself of a scholarship of 3000 GBP. I am completely satisfied with my university; the university is very supportive during the initial days.
Likes (Post study jobs): Because of the QMUL support during the days of the university. They provide one to one support for the job analysis to get through the tight job market. These types of workshops are very helpful in getting self assessment and guidance on cracking the job market.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The new immigration laws were introduced by the UK government. They have now reduced the PSW period for new intake. And also have increased the minimum sponsorship salary as well so getting sponsorship now is very difficult.
