A good experience overall
Tips: I have not had much cultural shift because the reason might be I always stay with my Indian friends and I explore much here in the UK. I got a scholarship as I applied through a consultancy for 4000 pounds. The university is good with experienced faculty and a lively atmosphere. I have not experienced any racism of any kind. So, overall I had a positive experience with my university.

Average university and student life.
Tips: Well, all students over here are Indian, about 90 percent. It's all assignments and group discussion. No stressful teaching and learning. Scholarships are provided and given to all. University is fine. The infrastructure and quality are good but the spark is missing. You don't feel motivated and no one cares about your studies as there are no exams. Only assignments which students create using AI.
Likes (Public transportation): The London Underground is about 2 miles away. There are buses and trains, and public transport is generally average and affordable, though can be hectic. You will need to walk quite a bit, wait at bus stops, and travel, including getting the tube from East Putney. If you live in zones 5 or 6, it can take an hour to get home. The campus has Richmond Park nearby, which is nice, and there are good canteens, career centers, and well-equipped classrooms.
Dislikes (Student Life): Not really a good experience. It's just average. There are multiple events and all kinds of student clubs, with a focus on future career opportunities. However, you will likely have to travel from far away, from zones 6 and 5, as staying in zones 1-2-3 is very expensive, which means a 1-2 hour commute each way.

Lively campus with many job opportunities.
Tips: Brunel University has a vast campus. It's beautiful, surrounded by beauty for students coming here. Always look for scholarships and apply for them if possible. Reach out to the admissions team for an enquiry. I am received a scholarship of 6000.
Likes (Internships): There is a dedicated job shop portal of Brunel University where various jobs and internships are listed and there is a placement service as well which helps students in designing their CVs. According to the future one student can book an appointment for counselling for free. There are internships available, the only thing that will need consistency.
Dislikes (Value for money): The only downside that I can find about the university is its location. It's very far away from London. One has to travel a lot to get to the university. I personally have to travel from Wembley Park to Uxbridge. It takes me more than an hour to reach there. It's on the outskirts of London otherwise talking about their academics and overall exposure the university deserves complete applause.

Diverse campus; there are students from 180+ countries.
Tips: Brunel University is a multidimensional university that has a unique campus with lots of variations of sports facilities. I got this scholarship of 6000 from my university. I'm satisfied with my university and course. The main focus is on academics, simultaneously providing the exposure that is required for an international student. It has students from more than 180+ countries.
Likes (Part time work): Getting a part-time job while you are studying is easy. The only thing that you require is consistency. If you are applying and reaching out to the recruiter directly then there is a high chance of you getting the part-time job otherwise it's gonna be difficult if you are just relying on the online applications. The average payout is 12.21 per hour.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Due to the current situation that many of the students and I have been facing. The PSW tenure is reduced from 24 months to 18 months for the new intake, which is a real setback for an international student. The job market is very tough and competitive.

Always look out for scholarships and other offerings before applying.
Tips: Look out for scholarships and apply for them. Also, the fee for the application to the university can be waived by mailing a request for a waiver to Brunel University. I got the scholarship of 5000 from the university, which was based on my graduation marks application process was easy. I am satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Indian Food): The food options are completely banging on. There are a lot of Indian restaurants from SKVP too many local Indian food franchises, you never get bored of trying new Indian food.
I prefer eating outside only with my friends on specific weekdays otherwise in order to save money I cook myself.
Dislikes (Value for money): Perfect combination of highly qualified teachers with a beautiful and open campus with lots and lots of opportunities on top of that the tuition fee is a cherry on top for the value for money aspect.

One of the safest areas of London to study in.
Tips: Before joining Brunel University of London and applying for it, always look out for scholarships on the university portals and the application fee of the university can be waived off if you apply directly or with the help of any counsellor by mailing them for a fee waiver. I had availed a scholarship of 6000. I'm satisfied with my course and country.
Likes (Safety): Brunel University is situated in the Uxbridge area where no incidents of crime have been reported recently the past as well. It is one of the safest areas of London if you compare it with the other areas of London.
Dislikes (Value for money): Brunel University is a perfect mix of student studies, along with the highest student exposure to the UK's job market. The tuition phase will become completely justified if you get this scholarship from the university.

Highly safe and connected part of London.
Tips: Brunel University is located outside of Greater London. There is a direct activity on the line and the Metropolitan line at the Bridge Tube Station. Also, for reference uxBridge is located near Heathrow airport, which is 20 minutes away from Uxbridge. I got this scholarship of 5000. I am satisfied with my university.
Likes (Part time work): Getting a part-time job here in London is easy. The only thing required is your efforts in order to get a part-time job to reach the recruiters' shop directly. Also, you have to keep on applying for part-time jobs at the super stores like Sainsbury, Marks & Spencer online, the minimum pay for a part-time job is 12.21 per hour. This can go up as well depending on the place.
Dislikes (Safety): I feel really secure both on campus and around Uxbridge. Brunel has lots of CCTV cameras, well-lit path, and security staff who patrol even late at night, which makes walking back to my accommodation feel safe. Apart from campus security, they also have emergency phones, swipe card access to buildings, and a 24/7 security helpline, which is super reassuring. Coming from India, I was a bit nervous at first, but Uxbridge is actually a peaceful area. I've had mostly good experiences. People are friendly, and I can walk to the shops or the Tube without worrying. There was one time I came back late from central London, and I felt comfortable because the street was quiet but safe, and I even saw security around campus. I feel protected, and the safety measures here make it easy to focus on studies without stressing too much.

Lots of societies to support students.
Tips: I came to hear from India and was initially struggling to settle here, but I got this support from the Brunel University mental health society and from the student Union as well, which are so much active that they directly approach you via messages and emails. I have availed a scholarship of 6000. That is vice chancellor scholarship. I am completely satisfied with my university course.
Likes (Value for money): If you get this scholarship from the Brunel University, then the tuition fee comes up to around 20,000 per year, which is really value for money for the location of Bruno University, that is London exposure you get there is unmatched and unparalleled.
Dislikes (Student Life): My day usually starts with classes and some study time in the library, and then I hang out with friends around campus. I really enjoy the support from the Student Union; they're always there for mental health, events, or just general help, which makes life easier. The campus has loads of events like cultural festivals, sports tournaments, and music nights. I try to join as many as I can because they're super fun and a great way to meet people. There are also tons of student clubs from sports and drama to gaming and cultural societies so there's something for everyone. What I love most is how friendly and supportive the whole environment feels. It's easy to feel at home here, and there's always something happening to keep student life exciting.

Lively campus; 24x7 library access.
Tips: Before joining Brunel, students should know it's very lively and diverse, and you need to be a bit independent because everything is self-paced. When I first came, I felt a small cultural shift; people are friendly but also very private, and the food is quite different from home. I got a partial scholarship by applying early with good grades and a personal statement; it covered part of my tuition and gave a small monthly allowance for books and travel. My transition got easier once I joined societies and met friends from all over the world.
Likes (Value for money): I feel I'm really getting what I pay for. The tuition fee is high, but it covers great teaching, modern labs, and access to lots of resources like the library, software, and career services. My lecturers are supportive and explain things clearly, which makes learning easier. I also get chances to join workshops and events that help me with skills for the future. When I look at how much I'm learning and the opportunities I get here, the cost feels fair. It's not just about classes, but about the whole experience, and I think that makes the tuition worth it.
Dislikes (Safety): There was one moment that really stuck with me. I saw someone snatch a phone on the street in London, and it left me feeling a bit shaken. It reminded me to be extra aware of my surroundings. On campus at Brunel university, though, I feel much more at ease. There are CCTV cameras, bright street lighting, and emergency phones dotted around, plus the security team is always on patrol and available to call if you need help. Knowing that makes me feel reassured. London itself has so many lovely parks and fun spots to enjoy, which I really like. But after that phone theft, I've become more careful when I'm out and about and always keep my phones close. I feel comfortable on campus, but I stay cautious whenever I'm outside in the city.

Lucrative scholarship and the famous London city.
Tips: Coming to Brunel University was one of the greatest steps of my life. I was ready for this transition. I knew it would be difficult to settle in a new country. It took me some time in the initial days to settle, but as time passed, I made some friends and started exploring London. This is how my transition period has been. I availed a scholarship of 3500 from the Vice Chancellor. I am completely satisfied with this university and the country.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The teaching faculty is top notch and university professors are experienced holders in their field. Many of them have the business and corporate exposure of their field. They focus on interactive and innovative learning. The faculty members are from various nations. There is a mix of Asian and European teachers.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The United Kingdom government has reformed their laws for immigration. They want to control the immigrants coming from other countries to the UK, so that's why they have reduced the PSW visa tenure for the new intake students to 18 months which was earlier 24 months. Also, they have increased the number of years that are required for permanent citizenship from 5 to 10 years. Given a chance. I would definitely like to settle here, but the chances are low because of these new laws.

A cultural and diverse hub of students from more than 150 nations.
Tips: Brunel University is a multidimensional university with students from more than 150+ countries. It is a cultural hub with a majority of South Asian students. You'll find many Gujaratis and Maharashtrians on the campus. So by finding out that there are many Indians, I got a bit relaxed during the initial phase as I was worried and missing my family. I did avail a scholarship of 360, and it was a Vice Chancellor scholarship. I am satisfied with my course and the university.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): The country offers excellent opportunities for skilled professionals in data science and analytics. Studying at Brunel University has provided me with a strong academic foundation, and the thriving career prospects in my field make it an ideal place for long term growth. The welcoming culture and diverse community further enhance its appeal for permanent settlement. My chances of permanent settlement are strong, given my ongoing Masters degree in Data Science and Analytics, and the high demand for data professionals. This academic background, combined with future work experience, will support my eligibility for long term visas or the settlement scheme. I am highly interested in permanent immigration, as the professional opportunities, quality of life, and multicultural environment perfectly suit my career and personal aspirations.
Dislikes (Part time work): Getting a part-time job as a student in the United Kingdom in 2026 is quite challenging as there is a lot of competition. Only a few jobs are available. There are many jobs available for full-time but options for part-time are very low. There are platforms such as Limber where you can register yourself to get part-time work, but it's not something upon which you can depend. You get occasional shifts for a dependable part-time job; one must be focused and consistent.

Affordable rent and great studies.
Tips: Though the university is situated in Uxbridge, if you are looking for an Indian friendly area nearby, you have got Southall just 20 minutes away. Uxbridge is also an Indian friendly area. As compared to London, it's affordable in terms of rent. I got a scholarship of EU 3600. I am completely satisfied.
Likes (Indian Food): There are lots of food options available in every part of London. Talking about the area, the Bridge has SK BP and other Indian restaurants. It's near South Hall. You can take any bus from Uxbridge to South Pole and can find every Indian restaurant there. I prefer eating outside but I cook regularly at home to save money.
Dislikes (Safety): The university is located in the Greater London area in Uxbridge Express. It is a non-busy place with very few crimes that are reported. It is one of the safest areas in London, but apart from the Bridge, when you move to Central London, the crime rate is quite high, and you can't even walk alone at night as the streets are full of junkies. My friend had an awful experience as he encountered a few junkies in Central London and they tried to snatch his phone. Somehow he escaped.

Perfect mix of culture, studies and international exposure.
Tips: Coming to Brunel University was a fantastic experience. I would recommend Brunel University to everyone. You'll find a perfect mix of culture, studies, and affordability. I am completely satisfied with my university. If you get a scholarship, then it's the perfect university.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): I see strong potential to build a future here. As an international student from India at Brunel University, I find the academic environment, cultural diversity, and career prospects highly encouraging. My chances of permanent settlement feel promising, supported by post-study visa pathways and graduate opportunities in my field. I would like to immigrate permanently because I value the quality of life, professional growth, and the inclusive community. This country offers a safe, inspiring environment where I can achieve both personal and career aspirations, making it ideal for long-term settlement.
Dislikes (Safety): Although Brunel University maintains visible campus security and CCTV coverage, the surrounding area can feel unsafe at times. Beyond campus patrols and secure access to buildings, the university provides well-lit pathways, emergency helplines, and student support services to enhance safety. Living in Uxbridge has been a mixed experience: the campus itself feels secure, but there have been concerning incidents in the city. I have heard of a stabbing near the town centre, a mugging incident, and multiple cases of phone snatching, which make students more cautious about traveling alone late at night. Despite these events, I've enjoyed the community and convenience of the area, but I remain alert and careful when off campus.

Lucrative scholarship and amazing teaching.
Tips: Brunel, Greater London, is in the periphery of London. It takes almost 1 hour from Central to reach Brunel University. Brunel University is quite fascinating and something I had dreamt about. I availed a scholarship too.
Likes (Indian Food): London is a hub of Indians. You will not see many Indians anywhere in the United Kingdom. London has all the Indian restaurants. I mean all types of Indian restaurants. You can find any type of food. There are north Indian, south Indian, East Indian and West Indian. All types of restaurants are available in London.
Dislikes (Student Life): Student life at Brunel University is full of fun and full of live environment. There are lots of activities in which students can involve themselves. Innovative teaching and lively campus.
Tips: Brunel University is a great institution that offers brilliant education with very lucrative scholarships. It has a very big campus in which we find student accommodation as well; it's not very common to have student accommodation within the same campus.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The quality of faculty at Brunel University deserves a shot. They are so focused on the studies and the teaching methodology. The university has adopted innovative and interactive teaching methodology.
Dislikes (Safety): Safety has been one of my concerns as a student here in London. As far as safety is concerned, there are some areas in London that are flagged as unsafe during the nighttime; you'll find their reviews on Google as well. These areas are like White Chapel, Ilford, and many others. There is a very high crime rate there.

Lively and fun, loving environment, all in one university.
Tips: Before joining Brunel University, one should know that it is a university for academically orientedand fun loving people who are looking for a calm and pleasing environment. For sports activities, it has a football field and multiple courts.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transportation is very well established and very well-connected. The train connectivity is great. They can take us from one corner to another easily and on top of that, buses provide transportation as well. There is a flat fare of EU 3 per hour in which you can change an unlimited number of buses.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Permanent immigration settlement options are quite low, considering the current situation in the United Kingdom. They are facing excessive immigration and excessive recession due to which the taxation here is very high. NPSW tenure has been reduced. Also, permanent settlement through ILR has been increased to 10 years.

Tips: A very inclusive university and very inclusive students made my transition very easy after coming here. I met the students at the university with whom I made friends. They were very exclusive and I got to know about the university and London during my initial days. I availed a scholarship of 6000, which was very crucial in deciding my college.
Likes (Student Life): The university has more than 50 clubs which makes it student friendly and lively university. These clubs are very inclusive and host events every week for their members. There is an Indian society as well for the Indian students. All the Indian festivals are also celebrated inside the campus, whether it's Holi, Eid, Diwali, or Lohri.
Dislikes (Part time work): Getting part-time jobs is not easy, as it sounds, there is a lot of competition for part-time jobs. London has the most number of opportunities when it comes to part-time jobs compared to other cities in the United Kingdom. If you are resilient and regular in applying for jobs online and visiting the stores in person as well, then you should get the part-time job minimum for 12.21 per hour and a student can work only 20 hours per week.

Unpredictable weather, but excellent and predictable degree outcome.
Tips: Transition to London was challenging during the initial days. I had to adapt to the weather. The weather here is unpredictable. It's raining and it's sunny the next moment, so you have to be prepared for every type of weather in London, whether you prefer shoes and jackets. I have received a scholarship of 4000. I am satisfied with my country and course.
Likes (Indian Food): Special Indian food availability in London is awesome. There is every food option that is available here whether it's North Indian, South Indian or West Indian. Every food option is available here, especially in areas like South Hall, Hounslow and Wembley. I cook myself but on the weekends, I go out with my friends and have lunch or dinner with them.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Because of the current situation and the recession period that the UK is going through, the UK government has introduce few laws that have restricted immigrants from settling here. Great country and one of the best universities.
Tips: Brunel University is a hub of sports and athletic centres. It is one of the best universities to Offer high class athletic Centres. When I first came here, I was awestruck by seeing the lively campus of the university. Transition was quite smooth. I did avail a scholarship of 6000. I am satisfied with my university.
Likes (Permanent Immigration): Permanent immigration settlement options here in London, although they have worsened according to a few but compared to India, it is easy to get a job here. If you try and do not care about the failure. If you keep on trying and keep on applying without considering how much rejection you have got, one day get a job. If given a chance, I would definitely settle in this country.
Dislikes (Public transportation): Public transportation in London is well connected and well established offering trains, underground, overground, and National Railways, buses and ramps. Students can get a weekly or monthly travel pass, which makes the expensive London public transportation affordable to students. Students can avail it by buying a student Oyster card otherwise, London transport is very expensive.

Be mentally prepared and open to challenges.
Tips: Students should know that it is going to be a little difficult in here because you have to go through a lot of immigration changes and lifestyle changes and a major cultural shift and you cannot expect anything from anyone. You have to take care of yourself, even if you are not in good health, so mental preparation is the biggest thing that a student should have before coming to the country. Every day immigration rules are changed by the UK government. This makes our future in the country very unpredictable and also not trustworthy. Even if we get sponsored, it is not certain that we will be able to stay here forever during the changing rules. I would be happy to permanently immigrate to this country but considering the changing rules, I would rather go to a country where the immigration laws are less strict.
Likes (Student Life): The student life is very good. I spend my day studying doing certain activities going to the gym and sometimes managing the day with my part-time job, so I have joined certain clubs in my university. Good Indian food and friendly community.
Tips: The transition was a major one. I started to cook by myself. I started to do the dishes for myself. I started to wash my own clothes. It was a major life changing experience that taught me a lot of things. I met every kind of person in a year, which itself also taught me a lot of new things. Talking with people of different cultures, knowing about their country is knowing about the practices they follow is quite interesting. I got a scholarship of 5000 on a merit basis as I scored the minimum criteria which is required for this scholarship. I am very much satisfied with the university and the course that I am doing but the country that I expected the UK to be is not the same anymore.
Dislikes (Safety): I came across many cases near my area of crime, stabbing, mugging and snatching phones, so I really feel scared of going out at night from my house. Other than that we are just depending on the police for safety. Apart from calling the police we don't have any other facility as a student.

4.1
Sorted campus and highly academic.
Tips: Before joining, know that Brunel is a quiet Zone 6 campus; success requires proactive networking. Transitioning from India involved a major cultural shift, from rote learning to critical application. I secured the 3,000 Academic Excellence Scholarship based on my undergraduate merit, which was a helpful tuition waiver. I am highly satisfied with the practical M.Sc. Management course and the UK's career ecosystem, though the high cost of living and competitive job market demand resilience.
