Good for life experience but not for career preparation
Tips: No cultural shift as such, given that a large proportion of the cohort was from the same country/culture in my case. No scholarship offered. Not satisfied with the course per se, however, the student experience was good. UK as a country to come to for work is a debatable topic given the hardship, competition, and the poor economic scenario right now.
Likes (Part time work): Plenty of well-paid on-campus part-time jobs such as event manager, research analyst, and catering crew. Quite convenient for me to juggle between work and studies since the job was very flexible in nature. The hourly salary was around 12-13 GBP per hour.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): (1) Hardly any guidance on post-study work opportunities. (2) Poor employer network and events on campus. As a result, I cannot comment much on companies offering visas or salaries as such. Typically, internship liked jobs are offered which only cater to B.Sc students and not M.Sc.

Warwick: Where Theory Meets the Real World
Tips: It would be beneficial if students begin looking for accommodation at an early stage, settle issues concerning their bank account early, network with people and begin applying for internships/jobs if you wish to continue staying in the UK after graduating. The course itself is quite intensive; therefore, effective time management is required. The move to the UK was a big challenge, including adjustment to a new environment, living independently and different cultures. However, the University of Warwick has a lot of students from other countries, and it was rather easy to make friends and communicate with people there. I had the opportunity to know different cultures through my friends, and I would like to note that it was one of the best aspects of studying in the university. I did not receive any scholarships; therefore, I cannot say anything about the allowance. Generally speaking, I am completely satisfied with both my university and course. My course was quite practical, interactive, and allowed working on some projects and listen to experts from the industry.
Likes (Student Life): The life of campus at Warwick University is really fantastic. The university provides guest lectures, networking programs, career days, and other activities during the academic year. There are plenty of clubs and societies like *INSA Warwick*, where all Indian students come together and organize events related to Indian culture. There are sports clubs, cultural societies, and other communities at Warwick University. What I love most about being a student at Warwick University is the opportunity to make friends from various countries while pursuing my course.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The situation on the UK employment market isn't very good at the moment, particularly when it comes to sponsored visas. The number of companies sponsoring visas isn't large, and it is also a factor of the position itself and your experience. Here you may look for positions like Supply Chain Analyst, Procurement Assistant, Buyer, Logistics Coordinator, and Operations Analyst. Salaries for junior positions are approximately u00a325ku2013u00a335k per year. The situation regarding vacancies isn't bad, but finding a job with visa sponsorship is the hard part.

A comprehensive review of life at Warwick studying PPE
Tips: Transition felt easy as there was a large community that was in the same boat. Felt welcome, and information and support were readily available from student societies and the students' union. No scholarships. Extremely satisfied with the university and the course.
Likes (Indian Food): I prefer cooking at home - lots of variety in terms of food between the three town/cities the closest to campus (Coventry, Leamington Spa and Birmingham) - between North Indian, South Indian and coastal food at different price levels - all available and taste good.
Dislikes (Internships): Internships are independent of universities, student societies are allowed for networking events, but everything else is independent and led by the student. While the university did host some events with speakers across industries, the companies brought in did not align with what I wanted.

The Best Decision I made!
Tips: Be prepared to have the time of your life. You will love studying here. The self-motivation to do good just flows in to you. You will find yourself sitting in a park or having a good sports session during your free time or even going for a sports session at The Oculus! Just go for this university, no questions!
Likes (Public transportation): There is great connectivity to both Leamington Spa and Coventry from the University. Buses usually run every 30 minutes and are mostly very rarely crowded. A monthly bus pass costs about GBP 60, which covers transport up to B'ham. Cov in itself has great connectivity with trains and an airport nearby.
Dislikes (Internships): I didn't go through the process myself, but based on the reviews I gathered from my friends on this. I was a master's student, so we directly had to apply for jobs on a full-time basis or graduate roles. More information can be found on different subreddits.

Amazing university for studies which is industrially connected.
Tips: Be ready to take responsibility and accountability of everything from day 1, including food, travel, studies, etc. Keep your options open in your home country for job prospects, as the entire Europe region, including the UK, is facing the anti-immigration heat, and this has also impacted the policy and regulations. Overall university life is great in all the aspects. Plan for admissions a year earlier; that opens up many scholarship options.
Likes (Public transportation): I rated it highly because getting to and from campus is incredibly easy, especially if you’re commuting from Coventry center or Leamington Spa. The National Express buses—like the 12X express—run constantly right into the main campus bus interchange. They do get absolutely packed during the 9:00 AM rush, to the point where you might have to squeeze in or wait for the next one, but the sheer frequency makes up for it.
On top of that, getting out of the bubble for a weekend is a breeze. You can easily grab a quick bus down to Coventry station and hop on a West Midlands or Avanti train, or just book a cheap National Express coach. It makes traveling to places like London, Birmingham, or Manchester super straightforward and cheap enough that it won't break your student budget."
Dislikes (Safety): Crime rates in the city are on the higher side, especially in the city center and selected areas. It is highly suggested to avoid going out at night. Some of my friends have reported passport theft. Police authorities are reachable, and there is patrolling by police around the city.

Loved the uni , good atmosphere. Productivity at its finest
Tips: A lot of communication gaps needs to be understood No scholarship was awarded to me; 9/10 would be my rating for the university. The country is good, and the course, I would say, is good, and I would suggest not going by rankings only but also seeing how many days there are for classes and deciding accordingly.
Likes (Safety): On the bright side, at least campus life itself feels incredibly safe, so you don't have to worry about your security while you're navigating all that stress. 24/7 safety patrols Community safety available on a phone call all day long Never faced any safety issue in the country or on the campus, not a thing to worry about. A bad experience is that Cov is not quite safe after sunset; it’s suggested not to go alone, but the campus is apart from the city. In fact, it’s made like a city within, so it’s all good.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The job market right now is brutal, and honestly, everything rests on your shoulders—your profile needs to be solid, but it really comes down to how well you can pitch yourself and win over the interviewer. If you're doing a broad, general management track, the reality check is that openings are incredibly scarce unless you find a way to specialize in something specific. Plenty of companies post vacancies, but getting an offer completely hinges on your ability to sell your skills in that room. Also, nobody is just handing out sponsored visas right after graduation anymore; you're looking at a tiny 2 to 3% chance at best, so you have to hustle incredibly hard.

A Rigorous and Rewarding experience in University of Warwick.
Tips: Before you come to Warwick, just know that the workload is no joke—if you don't stay on top of your time and stay disciplined, you'll get overwhelmed fast. The campus itself has amazing facilities, but if you end up living off-campus in Coventry, you definitely have to map out your daily bus routes and grocery runs beforehand. Moving to the UK was a pretty smooth transition overall, though there was definitely a bit of a culture shock at first. I really had to adjust to a way more independent style of studying, figure out how to collaborate with people from totally different backgrounds, and get used to how they approach group projects and assignments. Honestly, I’ve been really happy with the country and my choice of course. It’s been a massive learning curve, and I’m honestly still taking it all in.
Likes (Indian Food): Coventry has a lot of Indian food options, varying from North Indian to South Indian. It's a very rich, versatile city with various communities living very happily all together, and hence, there was no issue for food. I never felt like I ever left India. I usually cooked by myself but whenever I wanted, I had several options.
Dislikes (Safety): I lived in off-campus student accommodation in Coventry. Coventry felt mostly secure, though there were a few areas in the city center where I was a bit cautious at nights, but overall the city was safe with regular police patrols, good street lighting, and well-maintained public transport. Whereas the University of Warwick campus felt very safe and secure with regular campus police patrolling along with CCTV everywhere in every nook and corner; plus, the presence of so many students made it very safe and easier to navigate.

Fast paced courses and a diverse culture.
Tips: At university of Warwick expect fast paced courses and a diverse culture. The UK classroom style values discussion and independence. I am satisfied with the overall learning and exposure and global network opportunities. The staff is very supportive and knowledgeable regarding basic issues faced by many students which is a big help.
Likes (Safety): Very good campus management and security. All the buildings have dedicated safety zones and instructions. There is good connectivity between buildings and exploring the campus always feels safe, even at night. The staff is very helpful and always ready to assist.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The universities very rarely have placement programs post graduation, many companies do not offer sponsorship to International students, given the scarcity of jobs in the UK. Majority students either return home and do some sort of part time job in order to stay in the UK.

Vibrant campus and city.
Tips: Classes won't be every day, so there are breathing periods throughout. To score high you need to reason properly rather than copy pasting an argument you can't back. I'm satisfied with my course as there was lot of psychological issues it addressed, the back and forth we had with our tutors was amazing.
Likes (Part time work): Nobody looks down on you for working part time jobs, it's quite common. They are quite manageable u get to choose the amount of hours u want to put in. The average payout is 12.60 pounds per hour. You can always gain retail experience as they have a lot of openings during Christmas.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The changes of permanent residence are low as per the changing laws now, a person can get PR if he/she stays and work in the UK for 10 years excluding the study period. The right wing likes to throw immigrants under the bus for every other issue that they have, so it doesn't matter how hard working or resilient you are; if the laws are against you, you can't really do anything.

Strong academics and faculty, but career is shaped by self-efforts.
Tips: You need to adjust yourself socially and culturally and be more open towards people. The teaching style is more independent and students are expected to take ownership of their learning. Most of this comes from the discipline and habits of an individual. Also, one thing, a friend circle is really important to balance out life as you will grow with them.
Likes (Quality of faculty): You can contact faculty anytime on their contact details (teams), and you get to know if they are offline or away for sometime so you are not changing. The faculty are responsive as well and will give you time for your doubts and guidance. Apart from academics, you can also interact with them casually and they are open to that as well.
Dislikes (Internships): There is a team to help you out with applications and your profile but it's not completely helpful. It's just the basics that they cover and the internship opportunities that exist are limited and highly competitive so the chances to land one are low. You have to try hard each time.

Amazing student life and friendly peers.
Tips: The lecturers are absolutely top notch. Scholarships are available but can be extremely competitive to achieve. Warwick University is an amazing place to grow and learn but getting a sponsored job is something which only the top 1% of students manage to achieve. Good experiences.
Likes (Student Life): Student life at Warwick is amazing. You have the opportunity to meet people from all backgrounds. Work life balance with a lot of support available. Different clubs to take part in from academic and career societies to cultural ones. There is always something happening on campus to keep you engaged.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Fresh grads can expect to earn anywhere from 22,000 to 70,000 depending on the role. Front office finance and corporate law firms pay the most but these roles are really difficult to get. Most students have to return home due to them not being able to secure sponsored roles, which is especially true for master's students. The UK job market is turbulent right now and the number of students looking for sponsored roles is very high.

A place which helps you get out of your comfort zone and makes you strong and independent.
Tips: Being an international student, it’s quite difficult to secure a job here, especially with sponsorship. It can take you months to land one job. So the sooner you try, the better. It also depends on the role you are aiming at. So targeting the right companies go a long way. Compare the course structure with other universities when applying. You might want to consider the place also as Warwick is in Coventry which is a small town in the UK. The university provides great exposure if you use the facilities to their full potential.

Enriching experience with both personal and professional growth.
Tips: Before coming to Warwick, just need to know the basics of cooking and how to do your personal laundry. I learnt a lot of stuff after actually landing here. However, it's a great experience as one gets to learn to be self-independent. I unfortunately did not avail any scholarship as I applied quite late. Overall, I am very satisfied with my course and the country.
Likes (Post study jobs): Since I studied business and marketing, I was keen on applying for jobs in the UK however I started this process while pursuing my Master's. I was fortunate to secure a job right after that at Amazon in Manchester. The University of Warwick does provide ample support when it comes to supporting student jobs.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Since Warwick is quite pricey, learning the basics of cooking is of utmost importance for every student, I feel. The old coffee tavern was my go to. Lots of places have a lot of student discounts so one must carry their student ID. I personally prefer cooking myself since I prefer eating healthy.

Experience at the University of Warwick.
Tips: Self study is very important. Applying for internships since year 1 is essential. Learn how to cook before moving to the UK. Living alone abroad changed my perspective towards life and how I think. As someone who has lived abroad, I highly recommend the experience.
Likes (Public transportation): Buses from the University to Leamington Spa and Coventry are very convenient. Uber is also available to go anywhere. The nearest airport is Birmingham. And trains for London are also available from both Leamington Spa and Coventry. You can get a bus pass made for students for everyday commute.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Warwick is a campus university about 15-20 minutes away from both Leamington Spa and Coventry. On campus food options are very limited and delivery options are expensive. Please learn how to cook before moving to the UK. Grocery stores and Tesco are available on campus.

Been an eventful journey.
Tips: There was a slight culture shock but nothing that took too long to get used to especially once I adapted. People are more particular on boundaries here than a lot of other places and classwork is taken very seriously. Warwick is located in a charming town where the rent is much lower than places like London, which helps in bringing down your cost of living. They also have some of the best business programs and even though the job market is tough to break into, some of my peers have gotten decent placements. The key is to start early.

Tips: Very academically structured, making you do the best you can in the university. Warwick has a very global campus with a lot of Indians here as well, and Indian cuisine and ingredients are readily available, although you have to pay a bit extra. Strong learning and enriching experience.
Tips: Students should know that Warwick is academically rigorous and offers many opportunities but it is important to plan well for finance, accommodation and cultural diversity. My transition was smooth, though I had to adjust to fast-paced academics and a multicultural environment, which turned out to be very enriching. Part-time jobs are available on and around campus but they can be competitive. Warwick also has strong career services and global networking although the current UK job market for graduates is not very favourable. I did not avail myself of any scholarships.
Likes (Public transportation): The campus is well connected to Coventry city centre and nearby areas through frequent bus services, especially Stagecoach and National Express buses. These buses run regularly even late in the evening and offer student passes that make travel economical. Trains from Coventry station also connect easily to major cities like Birmingham and London, making travel beyond the city very convenient. Public transport around Warwick is well structured, student-friendly and cost-effective.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): My main focus in choosing Warwick was the quality of education and international exposure not settlement opportunities. Immigration chances depend largely on government policies and career pathways so I believe the chances of permanent settlement are limited and uncertain. I may be open to short-term work opportunities in the UK for experience but I do not plan to settle there permanently.

Academically focused and structured coursework.
Tips: When you join any course, ensure you read all the required coursework. If the course involves programming, take relevant courses and try to have a basic understanding before starting. This will help you learn and understand more efficiently.
Likes (Indian Food): Coventry offers a wide variety of Indian restaurants for dine-in and takeaways. I often cook my own meals because I am a vegetarian, and also because eating out every day is too expensive for a student; it can cost 20-30 each time.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Due to recent government immigration rule changes, the post-study work visa period has been reduced from 24 months to 18 months. There have also been changes regarding dependents, and skilled worker visa requirements have increased from 5 to 10 years, with fewer jobs now eligible.

Bangor University is easy going and has qualified and highly knowledgeable faculty.
Tips: Coming to the UK was a dream come true for me. After arriving, it was an eye-opening experience for several reasons. Initially, it was difficult to deal with the different cultures, people, and climates, but I slowly started to learn from it. I came here as a government-sponsored student and also received a scholarship from the university. I am doing a Master's in social policy. Our course is not that complicated, so we don't have exams. Instead, we have assessments for each subject in each semester. My course is very easygoing, and the faculty members are very friendly and accessible. Classes are held three days a week, which allows me to work part-time and attend to personal matters. Overall, I am very happy and satisfied with my experience as an international student. Of course, there are challenges along the way, but they are good for our personal development and future happiness.
Likes (Public transportation): I live in university accommodation, so I don't need to take transportation to campus. I walk. When I go to my part-time job, I take the bus. Public transportation is comfortable and affordable, especially if you buy a daily ticket. Students also get a discount on tickets.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are restaurants and cafes on campus that serve Western cuisine, so it is difficult to find food that is familiar to me. I prefer to cook my own food when I feel like eating something from my home country. Food items that I am familiar with are available in nearby stores, but they are expensive.

Bangor University is the best place for forestry related studies.
Tips: Students should understand the modules really well before joining. If you like the subject, you can enjoy learning it. I am happy to do this course because I like the subject. My communication skills have improved a lot because it is a multicultural university, and my class has students from 16 countries. This allows me to hear a worldly perspective every day in class. I am self-funded, but there are opportunities to avail scholarships. There is a student union called UNDEB that works year-round to improve the student experience. UNDEB sponsors activities for students, such as volunteering and a student fair. There are also many activities sponsored by student societies. The only downside is that if you are taking an intensive course, you may miss out on some of the fun aspects of university life. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my course, country and the university.
Dislikes (Part time work): The city of Bangor is very small and mostly comprises students. Its an apt nickname as a student city. While there are internship opportunities, finding part-time work is difficult. There are cities nearby where you can apply for jobs, but travel can be a bit tricky.

Bangor University: A safe and supportive community for students.
Tips: Before joining Bangor University the student should be aware it is a peaceful close knit environment with a strong focus on research and excellent support services. The transition to Bangor may involve a cultural shift especially for those coming from big cities as it is a quieter and nature friendly town. Scholarships are available on academic merit and financial needs with allowances that cover partial or full tuition fees. The university staff is supportive.
Likes (Safety): Bangor is rated highly for safety due to its low crime rate and peaceful, community-oriented environment. This small city is closely knit creating a secure atmosphere for both residents and students. Bangor is a safe and welcoming place to live and study.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I'm yet to fall in the PSW category and start the hunt. The course will be over for me in January 2025 as of now I have not started the application process and am unaware of the post study jobs. This period will be crucial for me as I am still assessing the job market and trying to align my academics with the market demand especially in my field of study. It is the phase that requires careful planning and preparations.
