What Do the dMAT Core Module Questions Look Like?
The dMAT Core Module includes questions based on patterns, mathematical relationships and logical deduction. Candidates should practise identifying rules and solving problems within the given time.
Figure Sequences: Candidates have to identify a pattern in a series of shapes or matrices. The shapes may rotate, move or change colour according to a particular rule.
Mathematical Equations: Candidates have to solve equations involving unknown letters or variables. These questions test basic numerical reasoning and the ability to identify relationships between values.
Latin Squares: Candidates have to complete a grid by placing letters according to specific rules. Each letter must appear once in every row and column. Candidates can use the elimination method to identify the correct placement.
dMAT Subject Module Syllabus
The Subject Module, referred to as the General Academic Module for APS India applicants, tests how candidates apply reasoning skills to academic problems. The questions are based on information provided in the question and cover different academic fields.
The module does not simply test memorised facts from a candidate's Bachelor's degree. Instead, candidates have to understand the given information, analyse the situation and select the correct answer.
